Evil Maze 2 | 惡魔迷宮 2
Long overdue review, Evil Maze 2 expands on the original Evil Maze game and it’s rogue dungeon elements. With more dungeon levels and items the game offers a lot more secrets to discover and overall replay value. Granted, I don’t think it’s as difficult as the original, as once you know the location of certain items well enough to consistently get them the game becomes very easy so long as you’re not reckless and get that heal spell.
The pixel artstyle is cute and colorful enough, though not much in animation on their own, with the cut scene artwork being good and generally an improvement of the first games style, though perhaps not as good as a full on VN.

“Evil Maze 2 - Suhaya : Wow, Whait is it? _ )/"
The above sentence is the cute expression of the heroine you will see most frequently in this game. Evil Maze 2. It’s the latest roguelike game made by ZOV GAME STUDIO. This game was created with the RPG Maker tool, but more interesting than expected. Especially improved than its previous game Evil Maze . The atmosphere is vibrant overall, and the illustration is even more lovely .

Artifacting
Entertaining for a couple hours worth of play. A way to change the volume of the music would have helped. Later leveled it seemed like you used the shuffle button more than actually making matches.

A Night Before the Deadline
This game was more than I was expecting. The atmosphere from the audio in game puts you on edge, the “story” (though I called it early) was something new (although very short). Took roughly 25 minutes to 100%. While the walking is rough and awkward at times, the sprint is bae.
Overall, it was very short, but definitely made me feel uncomfortable with the atmosphere. The mini games were different, and it felt like a good start to something!

A Night Before the Deadline
Enjoyable for the short time on offer, with just enough variety to keep it interesting. The controls are terrible and the searching is a little tedious. I’d maybe recommend it in a sale.
A Night Before the Deadline is an adventure game set in the IT department of an office block. The deadline for an important piece of software is due for completion tomorrow, and Joe must stay late to complete the work.

Spectro
Problem In A Nut-shell:
In its current state, Spectro VR is NOT a rogue-like game. Unlike a properly structured rogue-like game… winning here isn’t a function of effective skill and resource management. Instead, it’s an act of pure chance. It’s basically a slot machine with extra steps.
Later stages REQUIRE a weapon that can make short, quick work of each ghost… AND handle more than 2 ghosts at a time before needing a refuel.
For that, you need at LEAST a weapon with 4’s in power, speed, and capacity. After that, you’ll need ‘heart upgrades’ and ‘health potions’ out the wazoo… why?

I wanna start this review by saying that this is my favorite VR rougelite to date. I’ve played a lot of great rougelites in my day and this is the only one for VR That really sells it for me. The fact that this game isn’t fully done yet is almost totally unnoticeable if I didn’t read the patch notes. On top of already being a pretty solid game, the cute-but-scary and Luigi’s Mansion-esk vibe that I get here is just immaculate and very charming. Environments feel like they have a “spooky” aesthetic without being a rougelite horror game and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The menu’s are relatively intuitive and snappy, all the SFX feel appropriate and great, the gameplay is addictive while still feeling relatively new with each playthrough. Also, for those of you more inclined to play seated, the game will automatically adjust the level to your height when you pass through any loading screen :) so you can play in your epic gamer chair B). If you have the money, SPEND IT ON THIS GAME and support the awesome work of the developers! I’m excited to see more from this studio in the future!

Mini Crafty
This game is very basic but has a lot of potential. There are definitely a few bugs, and for how short the game is it does feel strange to have to sit there and wait for the right materials to spawn before you can progress. It is also infuriating when you die to a swarm of enemies and have to restart the entire game. I think the crafting and inventory system is interesting but there is only a few crafting recipes, and I have yet to figure out the purpose of the minions. The audio and screenshake left me with a headache and there is no menu that I have seen to tweak any game settings. I would love to recommend this game but in its current state I cannot say I would spend more than a couple of dollars on it.

At first, I have no idea about what the game want me to do. After I unlock 3 maps and die 3 times, I still have no idea. Why don’t you set save points ?

Oliver’s Adventures in the Fairyland
Love this game so far. It’s slightly challenging but still fun to play. Music & graphics are great. Gameplay is smooth and responsive with a controller (used an XBONE controller). Reminds me of NES Goonies II.

Initially, I had left a bad review for this game after rage quitting it within 30 minutes of gameplay. But I gave it another try and changed my mind about it. It’s just not a casual platformer that I expected it to be like the beautiful pixel graphics had me believe it was. In fact, the game is a little challenging because it feels like your hero Oliver always has lube under his shoes - he keeps sliding off every now and then.
But you do get used to the controls and get quite good at it as you play more. There is a sense of achievement as you progress in the game because you have to put in some work to gather powerups for Oliver. The game also gets a little easier with the power-ups as they enable you to skip the nasty parts like narrow slippery platforms that were a real pain while you were trying to reach the powerups during the initial part of the game.
