METALWORKING

METALWORKING

I genuinely have no idea what to do in this game due to a lack of in-game tutorial outside of the standard directions and so on. Even the first level I couldn’t figure out what to do with the power box above the door because it just expects you to figure out everything yourself. If there would be an instruction guide patched into the game, it would have potential, but as of its current state, I cannot see myself playing this again.

The genre of this game is a visual novel.

I hope that 20 years from now, technology will have made the impossible possible, and you will be able to live freely even if you are bedridden, and I hope that 20 years from now, we will see further advances in real-world technology and events like this one come to fruition, and I hope that the players will feel a sense of hope for the future as well!

*Live play and video submissions on distribution sites are welcome. However, please do so within the bounds of common sense.

Robots, Death & Venice

Please add some more advanced options. The lack of motion blur and mouse sensitivity settings make it almost unplayable for me. I can’t comment much on the gameplay as a result, but what i did play wasn’t bad, especially considering it’s free. But until more advanced options are added I have to not recommend.

Edit:

I was able to make it through the game by turning the overall settings to low. For some reason that turns off motion blur. The game is very short, however I think it’s pretty good for a school project. I think it’s worth playing, and I would recommend if the above settings were added.

DRONE The Game

DRONE The Game

One hell of a game. Although still a prototype, I think you’ll enjoy the public release. I was a backer for this project and I can say that the money I spent was more than worth it. If you paid mind to the game’s info, you likely saw the 12 backer tiers. I started out at Tier 2 (“Traveler”) when I first heard of the game. When they released the multiplayer demos I couldn’t wait, so I bumped up to Tier 3 (“Explorer”) a few months later. Last year I decided to upgrade to Tier 4 (“Operator”), and as of 2 July 2019 I ended up upgrading to Tier 5 (“Engineer”) because this game really has turned out so well. If you needed proof for how much these guys delivered, here you go.

This game showed significant promise in its early stages, and the main draw for me was being able to build and fly my own little fighting drones in the editor - with the hope of eventually being able to create land-based units with tank treads or mechanical legs.

However, development on this title unfortunately seems to have slowed to a complete halt: there hasn’t been an update, not even a bugfix, in over a year, and there’s been no word on how development is progressing in about 6 months.

They succeeded in their promise of delivering a functional drone editor, but even then a good portion of its features and place-able parts are unfinished, and at the moment users are restricted to basic cubes which they can cut into other shapes, as opposed to the totally freeform shapes seen in prebuilt designs. There’s also the slight issue of players being able to min-max their builds to obscene effectiveness by just putting a bunch of wings or something.

Hard Glide

Hard Glide

This is an arcade-style inertial skill-shooter with mouse control only. You have to go through several dozen arenas, collecting orbs, destroying enemies, dodging various obstacles. Power-ups and various modifiers are included!

The game offers to pass the levels as quickly as possible (to get into the online leaderboard), although this is not necessary.

PitBots

PitBots

Physics based combat game where you design a robot and fight in the arena. Crush, flip, pierce, burn and cut your opponents till the last part. Create superior fighting machines and dominate the arena.

DESIGN YOUR BOT

  • Chassis Shaping is first step to create your robot. During combat chassis can be deformed and ripped apart exposing vital internal parts.

  • Component placement is next step. Part types are, but not limited to: structural beams, motors, pistons, wheels, blunt, sharp & other weapons, energy supplies, main-board and cosmetic parts.

  • Input Control Setup allows to bind various actuator actions using keyboard, mouse and game-pad controllers.

  • Bot Painting can be done both in-game and using your favorite painting software. Once your chassis shape is final, use implemented basic painting tools to paint bot. For more advanced designs just export & import bot texture using “.png” format.

COMBAT AGAINST OTHER BOTS

Participate in matches against other bots in various game modes.

Fight alone or with friends. Host or join your friends match.

Cripple enemy machines by destroying key components such as wheels, motors, energy supplies, and main-board.

Use your weapons to shred your opponents apart. You can completely destroy bots as all chassis sections and parts are destructible.

Fighting arenas have hazards that may affect outcome of combat. Use them to your advantage. And avoid the pit at all cost.

Arena environments are diverse. Each arena might contain different hazards or none at all. Prepare your bot accordingly.

GAME IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT

More features are in the development. Current features are not final and are subject to change.

RELEASE DATE

Game is still in development and is not ready for release in 2021.

Demo version will be available before release.

SLASH OF BULLET

SLASH OF BULLET

Gameplay:

+It is fun and looks very cool slashing stuff with your blade.

+There are a lot of skills to try and certain combinations give you a unique looking blade.

-There is only one stage and 3 difficulty settings. The first 2 are not really worth playing more than once, since your slashes have auto-aim and you have limited skill selection.

Controls:

-The slashing feels odd. You slice with your sword and when you stop the energy slash comes out. So to be accurate you swing your sword and then point at the enemy you want to hit. This is not very intuitive. If you were to properly do a swing from top down your slash would fire into the ground.

Very close call for me on whether to at least give this a neutral recommendation, but honestly, it just isn’t good enough especially at the listed price of $10 USD. I think this game wants to be a Space Pirate Trainer 2.0, except it’s more like version -2.0. This is a stripped down, bare-bone version with some cool ideas.

The first problem is that there is only one map as far as I can tell. Admittedly, I did not play this game for very long (less than 30 minutes). However, I did complete the game on normal and got to #5 on the leaderboard. I also unlocked the Pro level, but for whatever reason, it didn’t work. I was stuck in the menu area of this game and I had to force quit.

PROPHUNT™

PROPHUNT™

PROPHUNT, a hide and seek type of game in big development where you have hunters vs props. Choose a prop and blend in the map. Hide behind containers, trashcans and whatever you can find. Choose a lot of props and try to win the match without being found. You have to be aware that you can use ‘fireworks’ that gives you points. The seeker will see or hear where you are and will try to find you.. Not knowing you could have ran away to a different spot to see the seeker looking at everything he or she can find.

I played the free version with some friends and I loved the game, but now I have no one to play with.

And because I had no one to play with, I walked on every map trying to find bugs. And I managed to find only one bug as prop. The bug comes at the disadvantage of the props. Sometimes when you change from a small object to a large one, you are left with low HP.
