This was a fantastic Sci-Fi visual novel that I have enjoyed spending my time reading. I love mystery themed visual novels and this one had plenty of unanswered thought-provoking mysteries that really makes you think. I am really looking forward to the mysteries being solved if there is ever a sequel. I find it sad when stories end with cliffhangers that could last forever because the game didn’t attract enough people. More people need to spread the word about this hidden gem. If you want a Sci-Fi visual novel and are tired of the anime/manga art style ones, I recommend this!

Interesting dialogues between the characters, and their place in this alternate future. The future of robotics and artificial life’s acceptance as autonomous beings is an interesting thought in itself. The storyline itself is easy enough for most people to grasp; no understanding of astronomy or robotics required!
Very straightforward story telling. Wastes no time with much extraneous dialogue. Easy to put on “Auto” and just coast along. Sometimes if you read the monitor screens ingame, there are strange Latin phrases. I have not had the chance to decipher much of them, but it would be cool to feature a part of the game that translates them!

Adome
ADOME is an emotional single-player first-person adventure that takes us to City of Light, a beautiful futuristic city covered by a dome prepared to withstand the extreme weather caused by climate change.
The city awaits the arrival of the seeds, 7-year-old boys and girls who will be educated and cared for by humanoid robots called instructors. Who also await the arrival of their seeds submerged in a dream.
Suddenly one of them wakes up … The instructor of Ark IB1 feels his seeds and comes out of that dream to carry out the work for which he is programmed.
But in doing so he discovers that something is not going as it should …
Adome gameplay core is based on a satisfying sense of rhythm, smoothness and total control combined with thoughtful and diverse progression.
We are working on an adventure with a solid rhythm on gameplay and story, in which you will enjoy moments of exploration, with smooth parkour movements, combined with frantic action, so each minute you are in the beautiful world of Adome you will feel part of the game.
You will perform parkour, and fight in incredible futuristic settings and beautiful natural environments while immersing yourself in a thrilling story that will catch you from the first minute.
ADOME transports us to the City of Light, a beautiful and spectacular futuristic automated city covered by a dome.
The City of Light was built to house the so-called seeds, but for a strange reason they are not there, and the City is inhabited only by robots with assigned routines that are responsible for keeping it in perfect condition.
Among those robots are the instructors, different from the rest. They are capable of feeling, learning, and thinking for themselves. And with one function: to educate and take care of the seeds, two for each instructor.
Unlike the other robots, the instructors are idle, as they come into operation when they detect one of their seeds. They wait for their arrival.
Unexpectedly, and after 17 years since the city closed its doors and isolated itself from the outside, one of them wakes up… The seed instructor of Ark B1.
IB1 is activated when it detects one of its seeds, the “Y Seed”. But in doing so, he discovers that he is the only instructor who has awakened and that neither “Y Seed” nor any other seed is found in the city… Although he feels a connection with it.
Through his dreams, he can see what she feels. Joy, sadness… Fear.
IB1 begins to ask himself questions, trying to understand what is happening. He will realize that the seed is in danger and that he will have to go on his quest to uncover the dark secret hidden behind the white walls of the city.
“Looking to the future… I discovered that we are children of a memory turned into dust… Supported by our ingenuity and destroyed by our human condition”.

Botology
I thought nothing could go wrong by picking a random game from my library to play, I was wrong. Botology is too much of a masterpiece for me to handle, this game which came out of nowhere truly stands up against modern RPG’s like Witcher 3 and Skyrim. What is Botology about? Well, you are David, a man with high engineering education who was admitted to the Botology company as a trainee. David is ready to start work performance, and is tasked by the overseeing blonde Linda (who is voice acted by talented and beautiful Katee Sackhoff btw) to go down to sector zero and check for the engineers or something which were apparently too busy to send their reports. As a brave David is about to step into the elevator that goes straight down to sector zero, Linda calls him to let him know that they combine business with pleasure, and no this was not an invitation to have sex to david’s desmise. Instead he finds himself in a suit of harmor that would rival that of Master Chief and Samus, and a sick ass gun to go with it, essential tools to locating the lazy engineers which can be heard munching on cookies if you pay enough attention. Oh but you thought that was all? This brilliant game is about to throw another plot twist at you, as David receives an urgent call from the guy that does reddit narration videos, telling him something has gone terribly wrong, everyone died and the droids went crazy. Not even that slick fox Linda upstairs can be reached at this point, as David realizes he alone must face the wrath of droids and look for any survivors. From this point on I decided to quit the game, as I found it to be too emotional and disrespectful of women, as it implies Linda is too scared to go down the elevator herself since she’s a woman, having to go all the way of hiring an experienced engineer to do it. Regardless of its rooted mysogonistic values, this is still a brilliant game and it will leave you thinking about it long after you finish it. Why is this company called botology? Why did the droids go crazy? Why couldn’t david just get an IT degree instead of this shit and go work for google? Does linda want to smash or not? Why do I own over 1400 games that I don’t even play? Are these antidepressants even working? Is this bridge tall enough? But above all, how did a small indie studio get the reddit narration guy for voice acting?? Impressive work, I hope to see more great content like this on steam from black lime studio, and recommend botology to all my friends.

Few words about the game
Botology is a game where… I’m not even sure what’s going on as it’s explained with twisted and badly translated english. Intro tries to explain bits of backstory but it’s hard to catch up even there. When you get into a proper game finally, you just go forward, without any clear instructions, just walk and hope you’ll get somewhere. Once you get gun and some kind of objective… oh boy that’s where fun begins. By fun, I mean grind at every corner. Literally. One of the most repetitive games I have seen in a while. Only thing that is good(ish) is music in main menu, that’s all.

I like the simplicity well executed, I confess it’s not my favorite style of game, but playing with my son is really fun, of course I just lost it.

Cheap TPS/FPS hybrid with solid platforming and shooting. Randomized levels, clean visuals and fun arcade gameplay full of jumping, shooting and exploring. Even has full body awareness which shows attention to detail. Greatly polished and optimized experience that pays homage to megaman X series with more emphasis on movement. Maybe a bit lacking in scope, but dev clearly had vision and heart for it. Totally worth it.
