CASE 2: Animatronics Survival

CASE 2: Animatronics Survival

I truly love this game. I cannot wait to see more gameplay added! I have already gotten my money’s worth of this game. There are a few things i would like to say. There are the most glitches with multiplayer. I totally understand that it is Early-Access. But i feel that these bugs should be noticed. Many times the computers/generators do not work even when the time limit is up. In the forest and police station, sometimes the doors dont open, but if you walk up to them, they will let you out. I also feel like the forest map is being over-played.

FUN FUN FUN!!! This game is so much fun! I want to see a whole lot more players because I want to play multiplayer with everyone! Goodness there is nothing like playing with friends or even random folks, especially as the animatronic.

For the multiplayer, the small bugs I’ve ever seen are very minor, which is amazing for an early access game. There’s some optimization issues, especially on the forest, that I’m sure will be worked out. The animatronic designs are absolutely beautiful, the maps are detailed and well laid out (I do hope that someday there is a “You are here” for the map because I get lost if I’m running away, my ONLY nit pick). I love the powers for both the animatronics and the survivors and it’s well balanced already. Something even better, you can customize and emote as the characters, allows for some fun shenanigans with other players.

before you read the review,be sure that i “might” have cursed a “little bit” in this review

Batla

This is Batla,a game, which at first looks completly stupid and then when you get into the main menu, turns out to be that stupid.

Now,what kind of game is this?

When you get into a game,it a game, where you start with a weapon and you can find different weapon, nothing wrong with that

BUT some of the weapons are really unbalanced, for example the shotgun, the sniper and the weapon that shoots these projectiles that have the color of you or your team when you are playing tdm

I don’t know why this is being compared to mechwarrior 2, but this isn’t even in the same league as a MW game. it doesn’t even feel like a mech game and controlls like a normal fps. This would be tolerable if it weren’t for the plethora of bugs and the nonsensical story that came with it. My favorite bug being the one that will often spawn you in a place that gets the player stuck on the map if they forget to pick a start point. Balancing is also a mess since there are only 3 mechs and energy weapons mostly usless outside of the emp.

Do you like Mechwarrior 2? The developer of this does too and it shows! It feels great, plays great and I just love it! Super easy mod support as well! I have modded in the MW2 soundtrack and now it feels even better! 3

It is one of those games I just got an instant crush on, exactly why that is is hard to explain but I will try to give some pros and cons on why.

Pros:

  • A very present Mechwarrior 2/Mech sim retro feel, but with modern fps controls (similar to Mechwarrior Online)

  • Lots of options for loadouts for the mechs with 3 Chassis available, lots of weapons and weapon group settings.

Perdition

Perdition

One thing is perpetually obvious while playing through Perdition - it was crafted with passion and incredible attention to detail in regards to player experience.

A prime example of this is how you can’t just hold on to your favorite gun for the entire duration of the game. Once you’re out of ammo, you have to retrieve guns from fallen enemies, and what you get might not always be your first choice. You’re in the middle of combat, and suddenly your SMG is replaced with a grenade launcher, and you as the player are forced to improvise and adapt your combat style.

Wow, for just a couple of people this game is really enjoyable. Combat is buttery smooth, one could say “Doom-esc” style combat with its own unique flavor.

It runs flawlessly, no stutters, frame drops, bugs, or anything of the sort. Well done.

Sadly not really any options are there, however the fact that the game is free and has a silky smooth experience makes up for it. The environment and ambiance with the music is on point. Just the little things such as a clean and non-repetitive soundtrack make the game that much more enjoyable.

The Signal From Tölva

The Signal From Tölva

I really really like this game.

It’s not without flaws. One or two of the flaws are even pretty large. But the game is still really good.

First, the good:

The game is beautiful. The world is really well-crafted and varied enough that you will almost always have something interesting to look at. In particular, the day/night cycle with its moving shadows and gorgeous night sky is really lovely. Exploring this world is a joy, and you never quite know what you’re going to come across next: Wreckage of giant robots? check. Huge ships? Check. Ancient ruins? Check. It’s all here.

A moody title screen, something about hacking, and you’re in control of a robot… now what?

Tölva took a while to get into. I was sold on this game through flashy screenshots of lasers and robots… but after a very short while I noticed that the weapons are dull and the enemies behave like… well, robots, but not in a positive sense. The ironically small scale of developer Big Robot meant this game could never be completed without skimping in areas where you’d otherwise see quality and variation. Animations are stale, encounters stay the same through the whole game, new weapons bring simple stat increases that keep pace with the strength of enemy shields. You get stuck on things, you get stuck in things, often it feels as if the ground and your feet are two magnets repelling eachother.

All Aspect Warfare

All Aspect Warfare

If you want an idea of how infantry conflict (without indirect fire) would be in the future, play this game.

The scenario is that you are one of a surviving team of soldiers/airman (there’s one pilot among you) on a planet that is essentially a live-fire training area for an enemy race’s military.

Yep, an entire planet that’s really one big impact area with a few bases scattered on it.

How did you get there? Well, the spaceship that you were on was carrying a planet buster to plant on the enemy home world (yeah, the war’s going that badly) was damaged en-route and crashed here. After arming the planet buster, of course.

This was actually a fascinating concept back in 2009 and I even had some fun playing it. Unfortunately the bugs were never fixed and it is left a broken mess. The fact that the developer appears to have been actively working to remove bad reviews from the store page makes it quite obvious that the game is never going to get the love it requires and as such my only recommendation can be to spend your money elsewhere.

This game has left me speechless. I have played many FPS games, and this was one of them. Get out of here valorant, I think this game might be what half life 3 was meant to be. I came into this game a boy, and left a man. This was the light at the end of the tunnel, me and it are each others world entirely. Stay gold ponyboy

Hard Reset Redux

Hard Reset Redux

Let me start by saying that I love the original Hard Reset. I noticed how great games Flying Wild Hog can make and I was glad to play Shadow Warrior later on. Now, I’m looking forward to enjoying its sequel once released. Back to Hard Reset: it is a fast-paced, old-school-style FPS game with tons of enemies and lots of combat. All set in a Blade Runner-esque environment in which the emphasis is on getting the city rid of a lot of robots. More details can be found in my other review - since the vanilla game is still available for purchase I’ll continue and focus on the Redux Edition’s characteristics in this review.

Hard Reset Redux is an enhanced version of Shadow Warri… Hard Reset. Is the game better you ask? Yes, at least for me, but it still has some issues from the original that if changed, would have made this game way better.

Synopsis

If you have played the original version, this version does play better in my opinion, and it has more positives than negatives. I actually had some fun this time around.

NOTE: In this review, I will mostly only talk about the changes made to the Redux Version. If you want to know how I feel about the original game, you can find my review here .
