Neeron: The Blade of Nature

The sheer beauty of this game will be lost on many. The idea of a bear, who is a nature guy, fighting against robots, who are not nature guys is truly awe inspiring and says a lot about our society.

Tbh this must have taken a lot of effort tho so good job :)

Whacked out camera controls can’t figure out what direction I am facing. no options you can tweak.

good thing it was free, Stream should be vetting crap like this.

Added:

Recently tweaked my settings and it is still whacked with the controls, found land that you fall through, also ended up in a body of water that I could not get out of, and you don’t drowned. Very very very badly made game. Uninstalling because the game is more annoying then fun

My god, this is awful. I saw Vinny playing this and thought, “ha, this looks like a laugh, I’ll buy it.”

Ugh. Also it keeps trying to boot my VR headset for seemingly no reason. Avoid.

Flyland Wars: 0 Ball Game [Trainer]

Flyland Wars: 0 Ball Game [Trainer]

The introductory part of the Flyland Wars Series tells the backstory of the Flyland Universe. The story is the strongest point of the game. It’s worth reading all seven pages of it, not just because it’s quite an entertaining sci-fi story, but because it explains mechanics that are crucial to beat the other games in the series. The main weak point is that the UI and HUDs are confusing and in-your-face at first until you’ve read the story and figured out what everything does. The level is included to get comfortable with the mechanics before introducing enemies. I’m interested too see how the developer continues the story through the series.

Ark of Loif

Ark of Loif

I wanted to like this game, but it is way too difficult for me. And not in a Dark Souls good kind of way.

You pick up an AK at the start with 10 rounds, go to the first level and a spider tries to attack you. First two shots are missing, I think. It is hard to tell, because I couldn’t tell if it actually hit the spider since there was no reaction, like blood or anything like that. I shot 5 times and the Spider died. Suddenly I hear another Spider coming at me, shot 5 times again and killed it. So with my 0 out of 10 bullets another one approached me. “Oh shit what do I do?” is what I screamed before I got killed.

You feel the inspiration in the classic platform. It is a challenge each level I recommend it if you like games like megaman and super meat boy.

Are you looking for a good challenge? This game is definitely for you!

Feudal Alloy

Feudal Alloy

Feudal Alloy is a funny action adventure with metroidvania elements that features a mechanical medieval robot with a fish tank instead of his head. In this game, the player has to explore this unique world to help the main character Attu to protect his village and fight the outlaws who stole their oil and burned down their place.

Pros:

  • Action combat-based game

  • Interesting mechanics with overheating the mechanical robot

  • Good variety of different equipment that looks nice visually

I’ve seen a lot of negative / disappointed reviews of this game, and while I don’t think the criticisms being made of it are untrue, they also seem overly harsh. I thought this was a very fun, engaging, beautiful, and rather flawed Metroidvania.

To start with probably the biggest selling point: the art is gorgeous – I love hand-drawn games when they’re done well, and this one had a lot of character. The way swinging your sword, dashing, explosions, electric shocks, etc were represented were all really dynamic and nice to look at. And the sound design worked in tandem with this to help sell the immersion. I got a very Crash Bandicoot or Donkey Kong vibe from this, actually – the way your character bounced, or got electrocuted, or broke boxes or barrels apart, or the way you and your enemies both exploded into gears and bits of machinery upon dying all had this kind of charmingly goofy, cartoonish, arcade game feeling that puts it in a different lineage of platformers from many Metroidvanias.

5089: The Action RPG

5089: The Action RPG

Quick note to anyone who hasn’t played the previous games, I mostly intended this review for people who’ve already played 3089. However, you do NOT need to have played any of the previous games to enjoy this one, and if you dont care about story I would actually suggest just skipping to this one (or 4089 if you prefer the look of the gameplay). I do have an old review of a previous game on my page that describes the style of gameplay, but I don’t no how helpful that would be when there are plenty of better reviews on this page. The grappling hook/hoverboard/other movement options are all REALLY fun to play around with while taking potshots at enemies, so if you want you could play it like Just Cause. Oh, and pro tip: If it ever does feel like it’s getting grindy, do something to progress the story, kill a Surveyor for surprises, or change the type of equipment/playstyle you use.

Real player with 299.1 hrs in game

5089 is an open world game, and as far as I can tell is effectively infinite. Regions are measured in levels and there’s always a higher-level area to rush into. Beyond that, the player is free to take any avenue they want to get the job done.

I’m a run’n’gun player. Get the long-range energy launcher, a low-velocity high-damage weapon, and have at the enemy. I spend a lot of my time running about and shooting. Or, just as often, I’m slipping across the landscape in a hoverboard, Floating on the surface and cruising at whichever direction I set. Only aircraft are able to keep up with me while I’m using the hoverboard, which is important when it’s time to turn tail. An important fundamental in the face of some dangerously explosive enemies.

Earth’s Shadow

Earth’s Shadow

Earth’s Shadow is a third person action Sci-Fi dungeon crawler set in the year 3081 on planet Sumbra; a remote alien planet where legends of valuable relics surround this black world, calling to the greedy and brave explorers seeking a bright future… but end up uncovering an even darker past.

Working a dead-end job… Alexi-Ru, a cyborg CSP (cargo ship pilot), tends to fill the void-ness of his boring flight job by day-dreaming of the mysterious stories surrounding planet Sumbra, aka Earth’s Shadow.

In the year 3081, the original Earth and it’s galaxy has been dead for centuries, and although a few humans still exist, colonized in far away sectors… Earth’s legacy is not forgotten with some even referring to Sumbra, as the shadow of Earth.

Intrigued by Earth’s history, Alexi-Ru often finds himself flying millions of light-clicks off his normal cargo route just to speed by the mysterious planet, hoping to catch a glimpse of something on the alien surface via radar that might force him to slow down or possibly even stop.

Eventually Alexi-Ru’s curiosity is justified when his ship encounters a malfunction one night, while passing by the tiny planet, forcing him to crash-land on the surface he dreamed of so often on previous flights.

Alexi-Ru remembers his attention right before the impending crash, focused on an un-jostled book, thrown from a compartment during the violent atmosphere re-entry, titled… “When Day-Dreams Turn To Nightmares”

“That doesn’t mean anything,” mumbles Alexi-Ru, trying to re-assure himself as he arms himself with a Tec-9000 semi-automatic and sets forth to explore… Earth’s Shadow.
