It is pretty fun. Very original never seen before VR mechanics.

It reminds me of a slower more technical Trackmania type of game with less tracks.

You will probably need a strong stomach

Five Stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is an Amazing racer and platformer combined together creating a most unique VR experience! It feels as though you’re driving a mini hovercraft and you need to develop the feel for the drift.

On some parts of the track It’s like riding a bar of soap on a wet floor and on other parts it’s like flying a zeppelin or a space ship. It can also feel like riding a robotic donkey jumping over gaps in the platforms.

If you love driving and are able to imagine a unique combination of a racing and platformer game then just buy it, LOADS OF FUN! ( and worth the price in my opinion).

I like ARM. It is a fun game, it wasn’t too easy or too difficult, It was challenging but not frustrating, the controls were easy to learn, music was good, and it’s a good-looking game.

Synthesis Universe -Episode 00-

Definitely more than 15mn contrary to some reviews!

(More content was added after initial release)

Some users don’t pay attention and miss most of the experience.

This is not fast food, this is not a game or a thing you have to try to speed run.

Why not taking some slow time in there, relax and enjoy the show?

Many interactions are hidden, delicate and add replay value, there is even a secret ending.

This is not for everyone:

If you are a gamer in a hurry: don’t buy it.

If you are looking to be fully immersed surrounded by music and FXs, enjoy every polygons, music notes and pay attention to the cues and the cryptic story… then go for it.

A truly beautiful experience. The detail and the complexity of everything around you is so amazing, and the music makes it all come alive. Lots of genuine “wow” moments.

I can’t wait for what’s next in this universe.

Edit:

One tip for players is to look up in the “menu” area. I think you need to view the main story part first to unlock them, but there are three pentagonal flower shapes above you to the left and right that open up and take you to other scenes/modes. I had no idea until I read the store page that mentioned the added scenes. Anyway, I was very happy to discover this.

Rainbow Laser Disco Dungeon

Rainbow Laser Disco Dungeon

In Rainbow Laser Disco Dungeon we take on the challenge of saving the entire world from an evil robot invasion through the power of dance! An amazing assortment of electronica music drops the beat down on the robovaders in time with the music. Hi-hats, cymbal clashes, and big ol thumps add custom instruments as you play through the lives of the incoming robohordes. The game is pretty great, simple, and you can even add your own music to it!

I got this game for free on keymailer and it turned out to be a great choice.

If you enjoy any of the four words in the title, this is probably a good game for you. A simple yet enthralling aesthetic, a bangin' soundtrack, and addictive gameplay reminiscent of games like Crypt of the NecroDancer, The Binding of Isaac, BPM: Bullets Per Minute, etc. I’ll certainly be dancing some nights away with this one.

Neo-Zero

Neo-Zero

Neo-Zero is a role-playing game which takes place in a hi-tech, dystopian, computer-simulated world. Neo-Zero features highly unsafe lab tests (puzzles) and rhythmic battles against husky military recruits.

In the 1990s, a scientist created the Neo-Zero™ Simulation Software to simulate a real world with real people. Their intent was to perform experiments on these virtual people. Shockingly, the simulated world devolved into a dystopia controlled by a single, abusive government. The world had started to build an artificial intelligence that could break itself out of Neo-Zero, so the scientist shut the Neo-Zero project down.

… two decades later, the (now broke) scientist decided to sell Neo-Zero as a video game.

As you boot up your copy of Neo-Zero for the first time, you will be entered into the world that the scientist had shut down.

You play as Apollo, an aspiring junior scientist at Oxylabs who is forced to perform tests using Oxylabs’ Propulsion Gun Prototype. During a morning of testing, Apollo finds himself stuck in the middle of a sticky situation: a military-enforced shutdown of the unethical Oxylabs.

Aela serves as the overseer to your tests on the day of the Oxylabs shutdown. She assists you on the journey to escape the facilities and prevent the government from laying their hands on Oxylabs’ most powerful device: Project Foxtrot.

After Oxylabs researchers determined that their world had a 99% chance of being a computer simulation, they developed Project Foxtrot, an artificial intelligence designed to exploit a glitch in the simulation. However, leaving Foxtrot powered on for more than 5 minutes has resulted in the simulated world falling apart…

Ferdinand is a coworker who led Oxylabs' Project Foxtrot. He may have the solution to stopping Project Foxtrot from destroying the world.

Perhaps Bonnie can help you find Ferdinand. Bonnie is a young entrepreneur who runs a chemical factory and is ready to make the deal of a lifetime. Bonnie may not realize it, but she has a stronger connection to Ferdinand than she is aware of.

You meet many other scientists throughout the game. Some of them do not take their careers as seriously as you do.

Soldiers are trained to capture any scientists they come across. Like typical video-game grunts, these soldiers have disgusting personalities and a terrible sense of humour!

Brobots are friendly devices which can feed you with corny jokes in times of despair. However, their software is pretty fragile, so handle them with care!

Battles: battles against enemies require you to press the WASD keys to deflect projectiles to the rhythm of the music.

Puzzles: you will encounter several puzzles that you must complete during your testing as an Oxylabs researcher. These puzzles feature bridges, locked doors, teleporters and the occasional riddle!

Money: you can spend the world currency, Jimmies, on snacks, lavish dining, as well as phone calls with your little brother Vlad.

As you struggle to escape Oxylabs and fight against the government, several characters develop along the way – including those that desire control over the artificial intelligence. Do you align yourself with or against the government? Can you save your family from impoverishment? Will you be able to stop the rogue intelligence from destroying the Neo-Zero simulation? That’s up to you to decide.

Vectorium

Vectorium

While Vectorium is a quality arena shooter, it all feels a bit too standard. It checks all the right boxes, except the ‘innovation’ one. I would also say that if you plan on playing with a keyboard and mouse, it feels more like an excercise in memorizing the order of buttons to press. Something more akin to DDR or something. It’s hard to explain.

Pros:

+The crisp artwork and interface is nice

+The price is fair

Cons:

-There is nothing new here; this has all been done before

Robo Maestro

Robo Maestro

Robo Maestro is a procedural music toy. It’s a revolutionary new way of creating and experiencing music! You tell it what you want, and then the Maestro automatically generates music that fits that. Playing Robo Maestro requires no music knowledge at all: just have fun and hear what happens! Guide the Maestro and create awesome music together with it!

Maestro Mode

Maestro Mode is the main attraction: a fun, relaxing experience where the music constantly evolves based on your choices. The Maestro generates random options that you can choose from to alter the music. Hear something you like? Store it as a chorus to come back to later, or save it for usage in the editors.

Loop Editor

Build your own loops and define details like instruments, layers, intensity and random seeds. Whatever you do, Robo Maestro makes sure it always fits with the rest of the music!

Song Editor

Combine your loops to create complete songs!

Export your creations

Share your music with friends, or open it in any other music software to continue editing there. What you create with Robo Maestro is yours to use in any way you like!

Optional deep tweaks

You can also dive deeper and define the chords and time signatures yourself. You don’t have to though: Robo Maestro can figure everything out itself, so you don’t need to know any music theory to use it. But if you want, you can get more detailed control.

Jam companion

Jam along to Robo Maestro on your favourite instrument or vocals! This automatic mode will let Robo Maestro endlessly evolve the music, fully automatically, as a backing for your own improvisation. Or enable the full features and just sit back and be surprised by what Robo Maestro can generate!

Advanced automatic composition

Robo Maestro is powered by an advanced procedural music generator. Dozens of algorithms work together to create each aspect of a song: drums, bass, melody, chords, rhythm, notes and much, much more. You can control each step individually, or just let Robo Maestro generate a complete loop and make tweaks from there.

When to buy and when not to buy?

If you don’t like reading, check out our video of this review:

Cas & Chary on YouTube

Sky Sanctuary is a beautiful archipelago where you can play all kinds of different Samurai mini games. As the game is in early access, there are only a few things to do at the moment.

  • Japanese wood cutting (Tameshigiri)

  • Bow and arrow skill training (Kyudo with 3 modes)

  • and there is a sandbox zone where you can use/try out several Samuari weapons like Shurikens and smoke screen balls.

When I first saw this game I couldn’t help thinking of similar sword slicing VR titles like Fruit Ninja or Katana X, and wondering what would make this game stand out from its competitors. But actually, Sky Sanctuary is probably the more padded out game of the three by presenting itself as a tongue-in-cheek samurai and ninja training game. So whereas chopping things with a katana is an element of all three games, that’s just one component of Sky Sanctuary’s full experience, also offering the ability to walk around the small floating island, shoot a bow, and mess with ninja type goodies like smoke bombs, shurikens and fire staffs. Both the sword and bow experiences are essentially ranked mini-games, with the option to also just mess around the island with them.
