Hepta Beats looks like a fusion with Geometry Dash and Celeste, but it doesn’t make me want to destroy my keyboard.

Really cool levels, good soundtrack. the last level is awesome, make me want to jump from the chair all the time

have a lot of fun playing it, and is just 2,99, worth it alot

Catarro

Catarro is as challenging as it is cute (in its very particular way).

A very interesting platformer without a jump button, where you have to time the protagonist’s snoozes just right to get around the levels and avoid dangers.

Recommended!

Even though I died more in this game than in Celeste, I loved it! You have to be aware of the time from one sneeze to the next. It has a great balance between calm level and very challenging level.

The character is working well, with great fluid animations.

Tip: It would be nice to have a kill counter to see how many times you had your head blown up in the spikes

Saw that this Game is finally released, so i bought it for my new Video :)

You can see it later on Youtube, when i’m finish my editing.

To the Game:

Really cool rhythmic Game with some twists. I really like that it’s not instantly on an easy mode, but you rather start on a regular difficulty. The Music is awesome to listen to, what makes me more smile when doing mistakes then actual raging for my fails.

To the Developers (If you haven’t checked the Video):

I highly recommend giving this game a try! The minimalistic style and addictive one-button gameplay creates a really fun experience. One of the best parts of this game is the mass amount of community levels. There are seemingly endless amounts of levels to play. The level editor is simple and easy to use, but really powerful and allows for lots of creativity to let you make your own levels. I’ve played the game for about a year now on mobile and I say it is worth your time.

If you’re coming from games that expand their content from community-based creations like Geometry Dash, you might want to grab OCO!

In my opinion, this game’s biggest strength is the level editor, which is very simple, intuitive and wonderfully easy to use. From the 7 different blocks you can place in a level, the possibilities to make intricate and clever gameplay are large. Level sharing is just as straightforward, there’s a massive “explore” menu where you can browse creations from people all over the world.

Run Dummy Run is a classic 2D side-scrolling runner. If you have nerves of steel, then check your reaction, make the doll jump in time and overcome obstacles and enemies.

And you think that’s all and it was not there it was in the game there are different perks that change the gameplay. For example (Boots that turn you upside down.

Chicken on which you can fly, etc.)

You probably shouldn’t expect super wow from such a game. But enough to kill the evening

Difficult platform game, but finally I completed all the levels!

Oh man. I am SO glad I found this game. I was thinking, “Man. I’d really love a rhythm music game that was challenging.” Not that others are not, but I work as a musician so most of them are fun challenges for me but not necessarily challenging challenges.

THIS WAS EVERYTHING I WANTED! I’m a pianist so I love to two side difficulty. I love that it was use a mouse and keyboard instead of just keys “a/d” and arrows for two different movements difficulty. I thoroughly enjoyed the music. I loved that it wasn’t just move on beat, I actually had to do quite a bit of subdividing which is a great difficulty, but it wasn’t so hard that someone with little or no musical experience wouldn’t be able to find the rhythms. Well balanced.

AFTERGRINDER

AFTERGRINDER

AFTERGRINDER is an intense speedrunning platformer in which you need to avoid obstacles, collect stars and race to finish to beat a level.

Pros:

-Immensly fun, the speed of the game and the obstacles placed your way gradually increase as you progress, leaving you with an ever increasing challenge

-The colour scheme and music suit the game and flow of the game perfectly, adding great immersion to your experience

-Controls are easy to grasp, and responsive

-It has trading cards and Steam Achievements

First impression: wow I dig the artstyle and music.

Then comes the “story” text that makes up a story about why the protagonist has to go to the end of the stages, the moment after it tells you that it says “what are you waiting for, no seriously there is no story the whole point of this game is to make you rage”… Sigh. Those are contradicting sentences and it’s not generally a good idea to tell your consumers that the point of your game is to make them rage when you pay for a video game.

So I go about the first 5 level and think alright this game has a few things that could be improved upon but so far it’s good enough for what I paid (got it in a bundle) then comes level 6 of world 1 and they introduce a pink line. The goal of the game is to gravity shift through obstacles and this pink line acts as a floor or ceilling depending on where you shift from. The thing is that you have to press up or down again on the line and it would have made sense to just pass through once you input that command but instead, you just flip on it and have to press it again to pass through. That is a design flaw in my oppinion because after like 5 minute of gameplay you changed the rules where I had to input 1 command to dodge and incomming obstacle (well from 0 to 1) and made it that it became 0-3 commands per obstacle. In a runner, this is too much information that has to be made every 2 seconds and makes the game unplayable, I would have to do the whole stage per section while dying endlessly to learn the layout of the stage and execute the commands accordingly. And that is within 5 minute of gameplay, if it would be the last mechanic to learn it would have been fair but the second mechanic? Nah. There is plenty of better game in the genre, that doesn’t use unfair or poorly designed mechanics to “make you rage”. Save your money.

Vectronom

Vectronom

August 2020 edit: By now the game has received an update to include a level editor, giving the game a whole lot more post-campaign content. If you were on the edge about this game before, now it is definitely worth your money!

Vectronom’s simplistic style might lead you to think that this game is poorly made, or overly simple, but you’d be wrong. While the game omits pretty much all of the wonders of modern game graphics, it’s exactly as detailed as it needs to be, focussing completely on gameplay and, obviously, music.

Real player with 150.3 hrs in game

As someone always scouting for interesting and fun music based games, Vectronom has hit my nerve.

This game makes great use of level design, incorporating level progression with the underlying music track. Some level are in an odd time signature, like a 7 or a 9 and most patterns can be solved by jumping right on the beat giving a special emphasis on the “puzzle” in “puzzle platformer”. Apart from that, the music is pretty rad as well giving the levels a nice variety in tone.

If you want to, you can even play this game simultaneously with your friends or, alternatively, play it alone with multiple players to take out your speed strats for that juicy All Pickups run.

Paralyzed

Paralyzed

This game just keeps pulling you back in, after I played some levels and failed even more it started growing on me. I kept wanting to reach the next level and when finally doing so it was really satisfying. It just got even more challenging with each new world and mechanic that got introduced. The design is clean, great use of colours and nice music you can dig while grinding. Really enjoy it!

The music is a bop, the level design is awesome, the game feels fast and challenging. Overall a good buy and I cant wait to play more.
