HEPTAGON is very near to being the perfect fanmade sequel to Super Hexagon. Not only does it bring the heat like never before, it also brings in totally new mechanics in every level, including changes in perspective, and red patterns that temporarily reverse your controls. In addition, each level has it own sets of difficulty (hard, harder, and hardest) that keeps the game a challenge as you refine your rotation skills further and further.

this game SUCKSin fact its so bad, i ended up playing it for hours0/69 bad game, too addicting :c edit: actual review though, this game is great, the simple fact vee decided to pick himself/herself/themselves back up is kinda motivating in a way, not so much for me, but it really does show that death iisnt always perm!chapter 1: gameplayfeels good! certainly plays well, however the gameplay on this game in terms of levels is… impossible, because levels are user created and more are always coming, but in terms of vee’s own creations, they are pretty bad… in terms of showing complex ideas, HOWEVER vee’s level’s are amazing in another way, showing… how the game works no shit, its great though, the first 5 levels are simply just getting harder, more patterns more rotation speed, all that, but then the game’s first pack will start showing what the fuck is possible, from octagons.. TO CIRCLES, to spirals! the second pack is a little rough, lucky thanks to the discord im aware its getting balance changes, but for now its kinda rough, its mostly just going through differgent ideas, nothing muchchapter 2: stylei love the style of this game, im always a huge fan of ridiculously simple styles, and this pretty much hits that exactly, the hexagon in the centre, the arrow, the walls, and the background, thats all you need for the open hexagon style, not to mention the ability to spawn custom walls or use accel walls to create covers that further enhance the already exist style of the game, of course thats not for everyone, its a preference for me to love simple shapes on the screen, its fun either way, not to mention the 3D layers in each style, and the ability to pretty much use those 3d layers to their LIMITS, like making the 3d effect visible, but the actual layer invisible, and making that layer move up and down, the posibilities are ENDLESSchapter 3: user created levelsoh did i mention that this game allows you to make YOUR OWN LEVLE? yeah i kinda do that, at the time of writing this my next pack is pretty big, all by myself, it takes a bit of coding knowledge though, but once you have the basics its super fun to just change shit, and replay your own level, however this isnt about my levels, the community of this game has made plenty of packs, back in version 2.0… no one used 2.0 and stuck with 1.92, and there were.. well a lot of packs by people, so many amazing ideas by such amazing people, most of the really well known ideas originated from the packs of exschwasion, who created levels like distraction, the fisrt level- or atleast first really well known level to contain walls covering your view, the existence of FRACTALS was made in 1.92, and brought to 2.0 thanks to.. well my own garbage can coming soon, sadly this was also the time vee dropped the game, but they came back, and glad they did!chapter 4: problemsthis game may be good, but it aint without its flaws, the obvious lack of a menu is one of those, but thats bound to be fixed later on, theres also the whole problem of having lost 1.92, which as i said was used most often for a while, and thus we lost so many good packs, like somename by alpha, or sensationality by metrono ivernan, and 2.0 packs from the non steam version also have some problems, tho are easier to port, the big problem here is that we had like 200 packs… and now we have 20, quite a difference, at a sudden point in time, however packs are still being made, who knows what the fuck could happen! the fact that custom walls are so changable can give way too… honestly too many ideas! chapter 5: welcome back vee!no seriously, welcome back! how’s it been? hope ya’v been doin well :DDDthanks if you read this, i doubt you will, just wanted to give a more realistic take o n the game, hope yall have a great day

A deceptively small price for a game so great.

There are only but a few games that I wish I knew how many hours I actually spent playing them.

This is one of those games XD

A gem that has been just out of the public’s eye has miraculously found it’s way to steam!

And this is no mere port mind you.

Vittorio Romeo has pleasantly surprised fans of the game like myself with not just the inclusion of long-been Beta content to the base game but optimized it beyond even the original’s performance.

Draw Music

Draw Music

Dot rhythm game!

“draw music” is a rhythm game made up of Dots 800(px) x 600(px).

You can experience characters, musical instruments,

and classical music of each Dot through game play.

In the game?

In this game, not only rhythm games, but also fights between villains and mini-games.

It’s included, so just because you know music well doesn’t mean you can play games well!

In the game, three large musical instruments were the main focus and several musical instruments were added.

All musical instruments are acquired for “Mi U” through certain conditions.

If you get it, it’s up to you to use it for “draw” or “music”.

In gameplay, the more musical instruments you know, the less difficult the game is.

If you don’t, you’ll have to rely on what’s visible, so it’s very difficult.

There are two levels of difficulty in the game: “Normal Mode” and “Hard Mode”.

I would like to tell you that we don’t recommend “hard mode” in the game.

Story

Main character “Mi U”

The main character, “Mi U”, had musical genius and was no less talented in painting.

When “Mi U” played music, colorful paintings popped up and danced as if they were notes.

Everyone, adults and children alike, danced or shed tears in their emotions.

The two grandfathers, who thought that “Mi U” had tremendous power in the music that made everyone happy, thought.

The grandfather of the musician “White” is the genius of “Mi U” and the great power of music.

He said we should let everyone know. He said we should give her a “Baton”.

The grandfather of the artist “Black” said that the images of music that “Mi U” expresses

It is said that you should give a “brush” as a gift in admiration of what “Mi U” thinks it is shaped.

“White” opinion of wanting “Mi U” to be an idol to everyone around the world with music world.

The opinions of “The Darkness,” which is curious about the future of the various paintings that “Mi U” represents, rather than music, collide.

“Mi U” will receive gifts from two grandfathers on Christmas Day, December 25th birthday.

In the process, “Mi U” makes a choice, and the grandfather who is not chosen is hurt and plays tricks on “Mi U”.

“Mi U” hears that precious instruments have disappeared, so he goes looking for them!

Imitation

While producing the game, I thought a lot about what to put in this game.

It’s cute and lovely to see “Mi U” play a lot of instruments in the name of rhythm games.

“Mi U” fused with a character to make each “expression” created by “Dot” feel even more cute and lovely.

How on earth can any “character” and “Mi U” blend together to make the character feel better?

At the same time, can you feel the cuteness of the main character, “Mi U”? I lost track of time because I was worried about it a lot.

There are many ideas to show another cute side of Mi-woo even after making the game.

Please look forward to it!

Saw that this Game is finally released, so i bought it for my new Video :)

You can see it later on Youtube, when i’m finish my editing.

To the Game:

Really cool rhythmic Game with some twists. I really like that it’s not instantly on an easy mode, but you rather start on a regular difficulty. The Music is awesome to listen to, what makes me more smile when doing mistakes then actual raging for my fails.

To the Developers (If you haven’t checked the Video):

Please make a Windowed Mode (Or Windowed without Borders Mode)

This is a beautiful beat platformer that sat in my library uninstalled for 3 years, now… I feel like a complete idiot. After completing Mirror Level 4 I can say that this game is just downright amazing. Levels that move and change to a beat and rhythm. Time your jumps and movement per the rhythm and move with solid tight controls. There is one issue with this game but it doesn’t crop up until the very end of the game so unless you’re a completionist this may seem like a perfect game in the end.

Experience

You may notice there are contradictory comments from different players talking about this game being either too easy or too challenging - that’s because this game has 3 “normal” stages and 3 “mirror” stages; the normal stages are littered with lots of save points while the mirror ones are the same levels with all the save points ripped away, essentially a 1-life mode. Usually, the normal part can be blasted through in no more than 2 hours, and then you’ll be presented with the ending sequence. If you’re not paying attention to the game’s “menu” afterward - or if you’re not interested in the mirror stages challenge at all - you’re seriously missing out. The 1-life nature of the challenge will force you to sync your mind with the rhythms, and that’s when the true nature of this game really shines.

ESPRESSO REVIEW

Not a meditative, relaxing game as I assumed, but more a good reflex dodge em up with great rotational labyrinths to escape from. The remaining impression of rotating, expanding and collapsing levels will stick with you after you are done.

PROS

Intricate mazes to figure out

Monochromatic layout is a gorgeous modern art experience

Not as easy as you would expect

Music is a very nice low key electronic soundtrack that is well composed

Follow me, says the game with a chime.

A week ago, I received an email from Expand developer Chris Johnson inviting me to play the game ahead of release. Since it was a game I was already interested in, I jumped at the opportunity.

Chris describes the game as a “meditative exploration through shifting circular labyrinths”. It is a game that I find hard to frame my thoughts on - Chris' words are certainly accurate, but the game has another quality to it that’s a little more difficult to define.

Resynth

sokoban is all about moving crates. music is all about rhythm, I guess. and resynth is all about moving crates, but thankfully not to the rhythm, you can take it as slow as you want, playing it as a regular, mostly stress-free puzzle game, but most of the 72 levels have additional goals besides level completion: move limit and time limit. there’s no numerical indicator for them, just lines getting shorter. ideally, you could switch between this and a more precise one.

Real player with 11.8 hrs in game

Fun, addictive puzzle game with nice twist on the Sokoban game. The game gives rotating blocks that create interesting dimensions on paths that force you to think ahead even more. The music you slowly build up by placing the blocks in their place give a nice progression indicator.

Each puzzle, except the introduction ones can be solved with a time constraint and move count restraint, giving even more replayability to give you the challenge to solve it with less moves or faster.

Then once you completed the first page you realize there is a second page with even more mechanics to explore!

Summary:

Recommended if you are a masochist like me.

Details:

  • Insanely difficult, but very rewarding once you understand a segment and can execute it without major errors.

  • Chill music, and objects that move with the beat, makes it easy to get in the flow.

  • Pleasant to look at

  • Unique and fun bossfights (except the first one, fuck that flower)

  • Multiple Unlockable Playstyles

  • Liberal use of Checkpoints

  • Colors sometimes make it hard to see tiny bullets

  • Crashed once

~ Perfect for speedrunning. It’s easy to get high in the leaderboards because nobody plays the game (seriously, people come play this game)

Real player with 185.9 hrs in game

Ersatz is a reflex oriented platformer with a heavy emphasis on speedruns. It is not a particularly punishing game because it has an abundance of checkpoints. About 80 percent of the features like extra modes require you to speedrun certain parts to unlock. So you do need at least some level of competent reflexes to get the full experience. As you can see I dropped 24+ hours into the game and I still have things to do. There are 3 regular modes that change mechanics, journey mode, and infinite mode. If you like that kind of gameplay where you have to learn the layout of the level it has a lot of replay value. As far as music and aesthetic part go I absolutely love it. I think for some $9 may seem a lot of a speedrun game but the price is well justified with content.
