Vectronom

Vectronom

August 2020 edit: By now the game has received an update to include a level editor, giving the game a whole lot more post-campaign content. If you were on the edge about this game before, now it is definitely worth your money!

Vectronom’s simplistic style might lead you to think that this game is poorly made, or overly simple, but you’d be wrong. While the game omits pretty much all of the wonders of modern game graphics, it’s exactly as detailed as it needs to be, focussing completely on gameplay and, obviously, music.

As someone always scouting for interesting and fun music based games, Vectronom has hit my nerve.

This game makes great use of level design, incorporating level progression with the underlying music track. Some level are in an odd time signature, like a 7 or a 9 and most patterns can be solved by jumping right on the beat giving a special emphasis on the “puzzle” in “puzzle platformer”. Apart from that, the music is pretty rad as well giving the levels a nice variety in tone.

If you want to, you can even play this game simultaneously with your friends or, alternatively, play it alone with multiple players to take out your speed strats for that juicy All Pickups run.

Untitled Rhythm Puzzle Game

Untitled Rhythm Puzzle Game

Dungeoneer Games are proud to launch our first ever title: ‘Untitled Rhythm Puzzle Game’. No that’s not a mistake, someone in the marketing department thought this was actually a good idea!

Untitled Rhythm Puzzle Game releases as the first ever game in the new URPG genre. A genre based on annoying the player and removing any sort of sanity through solving puzzles based on locality awareness mixed with keeping a ‘simple’ rhythm. It might sound easy, but believe us, it is much harder than it looks.

In this little story you play as the lead character “Blob”. Blob is a high profile DJ, playing to the biggest crowds, in the biggest of cities. But then one day he made a vital mistake and didn’t look both ways when crossing the road, and has now found himself in Rhythm Purgatory.

You must help him get up the stairway to heaven, as you slowly descend into madness… In the first every Untitled Rhythm Puzzle Game (URPG), will you be a winner or a loser in the way of the beat?

Key Features

  • Play in the 50 level strong “Story Mode”. An unforgiving journey through some of the toughest levels ever created, of course after starting it off easy!

  • Play in our open “Arcade Mode”. A special area made up of fun challenges and unique game mechanics that are just TOO good for the Story Mode!

  • Play in our “Endless Mode”. A weekly procedurally generated journey from the easiest of levels to getting progressively challenging as you work your way through. We don’t even have control anymore, the computer has taken over!

Halloween Rhythm

Halloween Rhythm

Wow.. this gotta be the worst rhythm game I’ve played. The only reason I played it is cause I’m a weirdo with a need to play Halloween themed games on Halloween 🎃

It looks like it was drawn in paint, and there’s no penalty for mistakes.

Hard mode is way too hard and its much easier to just mash left and right.

And all 6 songs are public domain classical songs that you hear way too often.

Don’t play this.

Just Dance 2017

Just Dance 2017

ºWhat to say to Just Dance 2017?,in short, is another bad game of Bugsoft.

-Control (phone) disconnects ALL TIME, there is not 40 seconds connected to the computer (sometimes).

-In addition to paying $ 49.99(R$ 99,99), you DO NOT HAVE ALL THE MUSIC RELEASED TO PLAY, some you buy with the Ubisoft currency, some you need to have Just Dance Unlimited.

-Just Dance 2017 looks Just Dance Now, ridiculous.

-I did not ask for a refund because I am hopeful that they will solve the problems of this game soon.

Pros :

  • One of few games in Steam that makes you do workout instead of sitting all day.

  • Many selections of songs (about 50 built-in + more than 200 from Just Dance Unlimited).

  • The respond and accuracy is very good (better than Just Dance Now).

  • You can pay for Just Dance Unlimited subscription either from Credit Card or Steam Wallet (I like the latter option, since I don’t have credit card). The subscription price is more or less same than Just Dance Now subscription price.

  • Many modes, so pretty high replayability (apart from that many songs selection).

I enjoyed the experience of the game and I like the concept of how the use of the ‘shift’ key can change a note to a sharp or flat.

Nice program for my kid to learn alphabets to the songs he’s familiar with as well as mimicking playing the piano.

One of my favorite music games ever, I love it so much! I even bought it again on Steam when it released here just to support the developers because this game’s so nice and lovely.

Sato Dreams

Sato Dreams

Lucky me, I get to write the first review for Sato Dreams. Sato Dreams is a “template flip”, that is to say, it’s a “game” that has been produced by copying a game template or using a game construction kit, and changing a few things. In this case it was a template for a basic endless runner/QTE hybrid using the godawful GameMaker Studio game construction kit, and a few Creative Commons soundtracks.

This is deplorably low quality bundle trash. No professional effort was made in terms of game development, copying a template/using a game construction kit requires no talent, and unsurprisingly produces products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers. It’s almost as bad as an outright asset flip.

10/10 game what can I say. I am addicted and the game really is harder than it looks. If you’re competitive and love track & field this is the perfect game for you.

This game’s best feature is the background sound. The game is simple, move around and get the words without getting nicked by one of the hazards.

Read about this on r/languagelearninng on reddit, really enjoying it so far :) Love the ability to upload your own vocab lists. The music is great, although I’d like to see the option to use your own at some point in the future. I teach English and this is something I think a lot of my students would enjoy instead of using regular flashcard apps. Great idea!

It’s good! It’s fun, charming, and pretty funny. The core game play is challenging but very satisfying, the music is catchy and spaghetti night was just something else.

The game can sometimes be a bit unfair with at times with its unpredictable cues. Levels like “Um…”, “1 Tuna” and “Quiet!” are funny, but they’re not much more than silly jokes and are the weakest part of this game.

That’s where my complaints about the game end though, as this game really shines with the really good levels it has, that thankfully make up the majority of the package. Highlights include “Exit 404”, “Onion Canion”, “Swordfish-Sailfish Speedway”, “Barra2da”, “Starfish” and the new extra level “Spaghetti Speedway” which features vocals.

Amateur reviewer.

From the composer of such albums as Garlic Elevator, Fish Factory, and [CLASSIFIED], as well as a great surreal meme artist, this game is about as much as I expected from such a person. The moment I launched the game I just wanted to sit around and vibe for hours to the title screen music. All the tracks from 01-13 (level 13 I’m stuck on, but believe me, the title sums it up quite well. No further spoilers!) are also amazing. The timing of the fish is enough to make me want to take a moment sometimes, but hey, isn’t that like all rhythm games?
