The HeartBeat
Despite being a really short game, I like this one.
Your artificial heart gives you just enough time to answer your secretary’s questions before it gives out, and depending on your answers, you can get a handful of different endings that either save or doom your city. The main goal is to stop the Coro- sorry, Prion virus from spreading, but you can get some interesting different final results based on your choices. Aside from answering questions, the gameplay is mostly rhythm-based, pumping your heart in time to the beat of the music to stay alive just a few more minutes. After a while this intensifies and the meter starts draining faster, and if you hit 0%, it’s game over and back to the beginning.

City of Beats
Explore the ever-changing skyline of a city driven by music 🎵 in this rhythmic rogue-lite shooter. Get into a zen-like flow state during combat, where every action is synced to the beat. Shoot, groove, loot, upgrade, repeat.
Plan your route through procedurally generated expeditions on the city map which doubles as your skill tree.
Encounter fierce enemy resistance on skyscraper rooftops and meet citizens of the city such as financially-challenged repair drones and shady hardware merchants.
You suck at rhythm games? We’ve got you covered. It’s not about continuously pressing buttons on the beat. Instead, the music helps you enter a flow state so you anticipate enemy move & attack patterns, which are all synced to the beat. Listen and learn to perfectly time your dodges, special attacks & skills, as you shoot out the melody with your weapons.
Between expeditions, upgrade your character & hovercar to gain an advantage for your future runs. Unlock new classes, weapons & tech and get closer to your ultimate goal: hunt down and eliminate a rogue AI called The Zeitgeber.

Hacker’s Beat
I was looking for a different kind of rhythm game and this might be it. From watching the gameplay videos of this game, it got me pretty hyped. The fact that the edit mode just came out just get me even more excited to play this game.
The core gameplay is alright, I’ve certainly had some fun playing some of the charts but I think there’s something wrong or missing from the game. For example, after exiting the result screen I was greeted by random white triangles on a black background while the music’s still playing. I thought “Oh, something cool is happening” so I started to mash the keyboard for a few minutes only to realize it has crashed.

Wow! After my very first playthrough I found myself inspired enough to write a positive review. The music is phenomenal! The visual a bit on the trippy side, and it’s a good idea to preview the songs before trying them out in-game, to get a feel for what they may throw at you. It’s not easy, and that’s not a bad thing…as it poses a good challenge that gets easier with familiarity. This game is in my favorites playlist already…so with less than a half-hour played at the time of reviewing Hacker’s Beat. it’s safe to say my playtime will grow rapidly. This game may not be for everyone, but it sure is for me!

SEQUENCE STORM
Highly recommend that you give it a try. It’s got a high skill-ceiling (See: My time.) with an array of helpful options/tools to get you to those extreme charts. The editor takes a bit of time to learn (I’d say 5 to 10 hours to get the hang of it.), but has a fast workflow once you figure things out.
More than anything, I think this game has potential. Just sticking with the game for ~3 quarters of a year, I’ve seen the game change a lot, and for the better too. Despite being a single developer, they often work on the game and is very responsive to the (rather small) community. A new note-type (something you don’t see often in rhythm games), camera effects, a ton of world customization options in the editor, and many other things were added since I’ve started playing. It’s incredibly impressive and I hope it pays off.

Intro
Let me start by saying that you should get this game. It’s fun, challenging, and offers lots of replayability. The tracks are your standard-fare EDM by largely unknown artists. They’re all pretty good (as are the beatmaps) and with the Workshop the track selection is only bound to improve. It’s F2P so there’s really no excuse not to try it out.
The Gameplay
Overall, the gameplay is incredibly fun. It’s similar to Amplitude’s but with a lot more inputs (9) and from what I can tell it’s almost a carbon copy of Sound Vortex. So if those games are your thing, this probably will be, too. Most of the beatmaps are stellar and really fun to play, with many complex and interesting patterns.

TERRORHYTHM (TRRT) - Rhythm driven action beat ‘em up!
It pains me to write a negative review for this game, but in its current state, TERRORHYTHM is just not that enjoyable
Don’t get me wrong, being a fan of rhythm games, I like this game and see great potential for it, but there are a couple major issues that prevent me from truly enjoying the game
Messy calibration system
Other reviewers have covered how this feature breaks when you use controllers, but since I’ve never used a controller for this game, I’ll let you read those reviews for more accurate information. However, there is still something else that is rather done poorly.

“Easy to Learn, Hard to Master” game.
First of all, I love the art style!
There was a lot of cool design in the different backgrounds and animation. Also the weapons - (that you’ll get from enemies) - katanas, throwing discs and a giant reaper scythe that looks cool as hell as you slice down enemies).
The music is also brilliant!
Every single track here is big and thumping and geared towards making you want to move. WIthin seconds of starting up the first level, I found myself bopping along in my seat, and that set the tone for every other level. BTW, you also can add in your own songs.

Story Prologue
The atrocities committed in Turing City, Titan, created shock waves across the Nexus.
Theta Corporations home system had been infiltrated by Earth Purists, determined to purge the solar system from the ‘abomination’ of the Nexus Mind, The single most Intelligent Sentient AI mind born of the Singularity.
This event became a catalyst for the 1st Interplanetary war that ravaged through the Solar System.
For 30 years. Millions of souls perished into the cold vacuum of space.
It was to become forever known as ‘The Singularity War’
The Nexus Mind offered a gift in exchange for peace. Space time distortion technology for ALL humankind..
It allowed each faction to look beyond the confines of the Solar System for the first time.
Stability returned to Sol but inter faction differences remained and the scars of war cut deep..
The Singularity Trials was born from this pain.
Each Faction offered up their most competent warriors and commanders to compete in an annual tournament designed to honour their fallen and test their readiness for battle.
For even though the Singularity War was over, the Universe is Infinite… And completely Unknown…

Beat Souls
This game is super fun. Some of the early negative reviews got it wrong. TRY THE DEMO!
I do agree that Beat Souls isn’t a rhythm game. There are no judgement mechanics and the player’s input is separate from the music. The obstacles and collectibles of the stage match the music, the player’s input does not. This should be obvious from a quick glance at the gameplay trailer. Beat Souls is described as an “intense rhythm action game”, and that is a perfect description.
Most games that attempt to blend action game and music game fall short of my expectations (i.e. Thumper). Beat Souls is the first I’ve played that actually gets it right. The gameplay is solid and the rhythm elements aren’t extraneous. The game does a good job of easing players into the game by introducing new mechanics separately, and the gameplay doesn’t immediately fall apart once the difficulty increases.

Beat Souls is definitely a very fun rhythm game with much to offer and will definitely help you get better as long as you practice both Normal and Hard Stages several times over, you’ll eventually be able to master what the game has to offer, but even when you think you’ve mastered it all, the Infinite Hell Mode will keep you coming back for more and really push your skills to the test!
Overall, I’d definitely recommend this game for the cute and colorful graphics, characters, the catchy music, and the variety in stages that are offered to the player!
