Space Channel 5: Part 2
This is my first time ever writing a review for anything, so I hope that says something about how much I love this game! Where do I even start? the music is VERY good, the characters are really fun and the story is entertaining as well. theres a lot of different set pieces in levels that I find never leaves you feeling bored of the button pressing game play. I 100% recommend this game to anyone who likes rhythm games, or any sega/ dreamcast fans who never picked up this game before. I also think its really cool how theres different animations and lyrics to levels depending on how good your doing, lol. a couple of things that are kinda annoying is that the game sometimes gets out of sync with the audio, causing you to mess up, and sometimes when I press a button, the game wont reconize I pressed it. I find that you should play this game with the d-pad and not the stick, as it seems that it doesnt reconize when I shift directions on the stick a lot of the times, while with the d-pad it plays perfectly. I hope somebody finds this review helpful, have a nice day!

-

A TL;DR (This is because the review is a lengthy read)
Important Note
It is worth mentioning that I have played this game for almost 40 hours as i write this review. This can mean one of two things:
1 - This chonky review can appear completely biased depending how you read it. Nevertheless, I will do my best to address everything I can

RhythmSnake
RhythmSnake has a lot of potential to be an interesting and fun game, but right now the rhythm portion isn’t accurate, which makes the game very difficult and frustrating to play. 4/10

1.) If you didn’t play this 30 years ago.

Karateka is a 2012 tribute to 1984 game of the same name, made for Apple II and Atari. The premise is simple: evil shogun imprisoned a girl and you need to save it by a series of honor melee fights one-on-one with shogun’s minions.
The game is really short, the run from the start to end takes for about 25-50 minutes usually. And if you want to compare the tribute with the original, well, it’s 50/50%: some say the original is still top-notch and the remake is so-so, and some think that even the original was mediocre, and the remake is only made the concept worse, ‘cause times had changed for 30 years, and you can’t enter the same river as it was before. And you shouldn’t, some would add. Not me, though.

Rez Infinite
Like another reviewer here, this is by far my favorite game of all time. I’ve bought it on the PS2, managed to snag a Dreamcast copy, rebought it on the Xbox 360, and now happily plunking down more money to buy it again on PC
I’ve sincerely been wanting a PS4 just to get Rez: Infinite. But I literally just found out minutes ago that it came out on PC, so here I am! Though to be honest, if I ever get a PS4, I would happily buy this game again. I’m that serious about it.
Where to even begin with this game? The depth, the beauty, the sound, my god. It’s all perfection, in my opinion.

If you reading this, you must be either of three persons
-
Those why played it on Dreamcast/PS2/Xbox360
-
Those who have seen other play and/or heard praises about it
-
Those who randomly stumbled upon it
If you are in the first category , you probably already bought it.
If you are in the second or third category … Well, this is one of those games that you can’t get the full experience just by seeing. You need to put your headphones on and play with a controller (with vibration) to ‘get’ it.

Octahedron: Transfixed Edition
OCTAHEDRON is simply pure bliss from start to finish for anyone who’s a fan of challenging platformers. With its punchy neon aesthetics and fantastic soundtrack, once you’re past the short, intuitive tutorial you’re straight into the meat of the game with no hand-holding necessary. There are some unobtrusive story cutscenes at the start and end of the game, however everything in between can be played through with no barriers, or any text to read.
Practically every level has a unique mechanic that never gets exhausted, with new enemies, obstacles and platforms that are introduced and swiftly subverted, not to mention the surfing platforms you create yourself which give a great sense of freedom. Collectibles of varying difficulty are strewn across the level but rarely feel like a slog, particularly due to careful level design that allows you to backtrack and collect everything in one sitting regardless of later upgrades. They rarely gate progress, and the harder items simply unlock bonus levels that aren’t required to beat the game, thus allow for some extra challenge. Not to mention the medals for completing levels in as few platforms as possible, or with no deaths.

This game’s unreal.
It’s stylish from the moment you start it up, and really easy to pick up and play. I was (pun intended) transfixed from the moment I started playing it, and have gotten amazing value out of the game so far (all achievements in just under 40 hours). The game encourages multiple playthroughs of each level, and each time you will be approaching the level differently to earn different medals for fast completion, collecting 100% of the items in the level, and efficient platforming.
