Very pleasant game. I love simple principles but that can get you scratching your head for minutes. The VHS type art style and oniric music really got me out of my mind for a moment. Good job!

Dave-Man

Dave-Man

A simple story about a simple man, that just wants his everyday routine not to be ruined. A story, that many of us could tell.

Once you’ll start to play Dave, you will soon find out that there is a quite some background for this well made tribute to a Pac-man like games. I was simply amazed with the amount of all the dialogues, options, hidden jokes and obvious puns, all accompanied with great chiptune music. The music itself makes a huge work here as well, as many times I have just realized that I am humming the tones along with my head nodding to the rhythm.

Dave-Man is a charming retro-style game that taught me to despise anyone named Cathy! (for real, there is something very satisfying about getting caught out by her for the 15th time and exclaiming ‘GOSHDARNIT CATHY’ while smacking your desk). The gameplay is heckin fun, reminds me of my terrible attempts at Pac-Man when I was a wee lad but with cool extra stuff like online shopping and cats!!!The music is delightful, love the chiptune sound and it is there to comfort you when you inevitably get caught because you tried the hardest difficulty room. The end of a run is a really nice touch too, I won’t spoil it but it made me genuinely laugh.Overall I’d super recommend, and honestly it’s a steal for the price. It’s cheaper than a coffee from Costbucks for Christ’s sake and it comes with janitorial friendship!!

Simple and somewhat repetitive game demanding some practice before you can reach higher waves. Does not offer much else afterwards. Overall not too bad, but nothing new or great.

[Free-to-Play] At the time of writing, this is a Free-to-play tower defense game, similar to plant vs zombies style where you place your defenders in a horizontal row and enemy will approach your castle. If they bypass your defenses, they will steal a crown; After 16 crowns have been stolen, it is game over

You will need blood (the in-game currency) to summon more defenders or to buy more rows and once a monster has been defeated, it will drop a heart; the heart is the currency and you have to click it fast or it will disappear

The game was very confusing for me when I first jumped in. But after a while I figured how it works and I feel like sharing the secret.

You start off with 1 or more moving tiles and you need to shove them onto the plates that light up with blue glow. You don’t always have to fill each glowing plate but you need to make sure that all dark-purple ones (usually the tiles that can move) are on the glowing plates.

I like how you unlock new types of movement further down the levels, to keep it fresh and interesting. There’s some nice background music involed as well.

A Winter Story – Original Edition and Highly Difficult

A Winter Story – Original Edition and Highly Difficult

Curator Review:

Finding You Before Spring Coming is a Indie RPG, that feels like the classic Gameboy days.

You wake up to a calm winter’s day, as you take a look out your bedroom window - you see that it is snowing - the sun gleaming through the window. You feel calm and collected, ready for a big day of adventure.

The times of war are over. The Children are free to live a happy childhood, with the young people heading to School to study. Everyone else disappears to the City to find work, some choose to become Traders, others Banking.

What can I say about A Winter Story?

A Winter Story is a game I received through Curator Connect, and a game I would have otherwise not picked up. This game gave me feelings of “made with RPG Maker”, which means I must try it out since they are trying to make their game better than I am. While this is admirable, I didn’t enjoy my experience, and had to put the game down not even 40 minutes in.

First off, I had a hard time discerning whether this game was about to be some kind of H-game with a cutesy RPG cover. The game is translated, and while I’m unsure from which Asian language it is definitely-not translated professionally into English. This causes hilarious mix-ups once you’ve realized that the game is not about selling men into sexual slavery at the age of 29, and often leaves you laughing while holding your head.

Deadly Cosmic

Deadly Cosmic

It’s a short but very cool game, I liked the creatures and the mystery in the plot, I also liked the little moments of humor. In fact I wanted the game to be bigger because I was very involved, but it makes sense for the price. From my point of view it is a game that worth it!

Loved the premise of the game, and the graphics definitely give it that unique feel and add to the creepy vibe. I had a little trouble with the perspective, especially when there was a creature just off screen that I could no longer see because of the change in perspective, but you learn to maneuver and function quick enough.

Took me a while to find and operate the toilet… longer than I would like to admit. Overall, I would definitely recommend playing through this one, it is worth it!

Here’s some gameplay if interested (first stream terminated with no warning and I had to restart the stream)

Push Blox 2

Push Blox 2

Really fun but challenging puzzle game. The mechanics felt really simple and intuitive but I was impressed at how much variety the puzzles had. There are plenty of intricate constructions that felt really satisfying to find. The music was also relaxing and I think it fit the game well, sometimes I would just have the game on in the background so I can listen to the music. You will not be disappointed :)

Gotta drop a review for this one: it may not look that appealing at first value, but genuinely some of my favorite puzzles I’ve played. Very, very challenging at times.

I could say the same for Push Blox 1. Played it on Android before it was on Steam.

Lots of enthusiasm here, players have contributed to the main levels of the game, and the result is fantastic: ideas for puzzles got extremely refined.

Hack Grid

Hack Grid

Full disclosure: I was a playtester for this game.

In Hack Grid each level has a different setup of pieces and trails within a 4x4 grid (sometimes it’s smaller).

In order to move a piece, it must have a straight line of trails or empty sockets leading to a differently colored piece. What makes the grids interesting is not only the different setups of pieces, but also the way the trails connect between them; It varies from level to level, and sometimes the lack of a direct trail between two pieces can trip you up, if you are not paying enough attention to the trails.

Do you have some free time during your evening? Do you like puzzle games? Are you nostalgic for DOS aesthetics? Great, then Hack Grid is a game just for you!

This is a well-made game. Sure, it’s relatively short, but I think it has just enough puzzles to explore its simple, yet entertaining gameplay. I didn’t encounter any bugs, it runs smoothly. Graphics are minimalistic, very nice, and you can spice them up a little with CRT filter. Puzzle themselves have a right level of difficulty, and you get some new mechanic once in a while, so you don’t get bored.

Game is broken as fuck achievements are constantly bugging even if you reinstall it dose not fix the problem and thats the only reason you would want this game..

as far as the snake game its extremely basic and poorly made only 3 different difficulty settings unlike 9 that it should have the controls are unresponsive and set to arrow keys cant use w,a,s,d and sometimes your just randomly die because you can do turns your not meant to what kills you ..example you can be going in the right direction and press the left and it can kill you . you cant full screen and is no options for the border so you have a constant wall on the outside .. this was a extremely easy game to copy and you fucked that up gj

A twist on the classic game Snake with a few extra options; “Slug” if you want the snake to move slower (although my attempts seemed to automatically kill the snake at a length of 108), “Worm” (classic snake game), or “Python” (probably 2x the speed of Worm option). Overall a fun way to kill time if you enjoyed the game snake when you were younger, but i would suggest waiting to purchase until the game goes on sale

Rate 6/10 - A fun game, however it does get boring after about a half hour of consecutive playing imo
