Koala Kids

Koala Kids

Koala Kids is a perfect example of how a few simple ideas can be expanded upon and create an amazing game. Koala Kids is a game that knows what it wants to do and does that brilliantly. It’s not trying to be a crazy difficult 2D platformer or the world’s biggest game. It tries to be a charming and engaging platformer that makes you think at times and is the perfect game to play at the end of a long day. The game introduces a handful of items that each have their own use, and the game does a fantastic job of introducing how to use these items and then builds levels that allow you to use these items with each other. The soundtrack for this game is phenominal as well, it honestly had me bumping my head throughout the duration of me 100% the single player game. By completing levels and collecting money you unlock things that slowly fill up the “hub” i guess with a koala band, a house, and a garden, and it adds so much charm to an already charming game. This game is absolutely worth your time, and I highly recommend it.

I mean, it’s koalas. Who doesn’t like koalas, huh? Unless they’re wet of course but you won’t encounter that in this game. In this game, there are only wholesome house-building, music-playing, society-saving florist koalas. ;)

I’ve got this game for half the price ‘cause I had a coupon, so why not give it a try? Oy me, I can’t believe I’ve spent 7 hours on this game! It’s actually kinda fun if you just want to chill. The puzzle part is not exactly challenging, so you can turn your brain off for the most part but I didn’t really even expect it to be - it looks like a game you could play with your small kiddo (and looking at the other reviews, folk does so and very much enjoys it). I got neither offspring, nor friends that I’d love to come over for a swell local coop experience right now, so I got my coop achievements along with slowly acquiring the knowledge of how to fluently play for both characters at the same time, cool thing if you ever wanna start playing the piano - and that’s a fair deal for those 70 eurocents or even the full price of €1.6!

A very fun game.

It’s a challenging platformer, that doesn’t alow you to jump, and you have to rely on ball physics to do any tricks.

Roll around, dodging obstacles, and beat the stage as fast as you can. It becomes adicting to beat a stage very fast, especially when you notice speedrun tactics by yourself, and you get a pretty good time.

Depending on your skill, this game can take anywhere from 2-15+ hours to beat.(first time playthrough that is)

But if this game gets enough people to play it, the custom levels will also add even MORE hours to it.

Brilliant puzzler with some hardcore complex and creative levels. This game is a definition of a hidden gem…well judging by the number of reviews its more a buried gem but that doesn’t take away from the fact that this game is pure quality.Every puzzle game fanatic should play this even though some levels are extra hard.Stunning game.

A fun game in the ‘grid-based puzzler’ genre (a bit similar to boulderdash/sokoban/supaplex/chip’s challenge). Unlike most of the games in this genre, all the puzzles are on a single screen, but there is still plenty of complexity. Some of the levels are pretty tough, but it never feels unfair.

Doughlings: Arcade

Doughlings: Arcade

As far as Arkanoid types go I’m giving this one the highest honors. Doughlings Arcade just doesn’t use capsules or what not to change the behavior of the ball but requires our protagonist Morpheus to morph into a super-hero type. Only then upon collecting the requisite amount of thumbs-up so to speak can you then activate the super hero power of the current super hero.

Doughlings Arcade doesn’t use blocks but Doughlings, Doughlings of different colors imply a certain state of distress and by hitting them you are essentially healing them thereby reducing their stress levels and changing their color. Blue Doughlings are one level above a fully healed Doughling so that when you hit the Blue Doughlings you’ve healed them.

## Abacus

Abacus is an excellent new take on classic 2D platforming. A perfect mix of story, heart, fun & tricky gameplay and 2D platforming at it's best.

Secret areas, collectables, witty narrative, it's all here. But it doesn't stop there, the multiplayer is addictive and can get pretty heated! With a variety of game modes on tap, I've managed to lose hours blasting my mates and capping flags.

The soundtrack will get stuck in your head and the art style will charm you into forgetting any frustrations you may have after missing that jump for the 5th time haha!

Abacus is fantastic retro fun. Just on the right side of tough, it's challenging without being frustrating.

Unfair trash. With some strange control decisions.

Would refund had I not got gifted it.

Going to edit and add to my review , there is even a map editor that doesn't seem to work or have any explanation.

I feel rather invested to try get the achievements. However this game is a really poor excuse for a game. Press buttons in trial and error combos after you succed in getting past bs traps.

Steam allowing absoulte trash like this on its store is a joke

Very interesting and unique game.

It took me few minutes to get used to the controls but after that and acquainting myself with all the different Dwarves the game opened up.

It's a challenging title - so be warned.

I also LOVE the music!
