It’s a unique auto generated game. Missons tend to be often very similar but there is always different glitches. A unique touch I saw was each auto generated game has it’s own little backstory for why your playing the “game” like every video game. The only glitch I see is with the flying mission which is if you try to barrell roll it doesnt work then u cant shoot and in shooting as planes sometimes if u die u never respawn/get the restart u should. Through the ramble I would say it’s a good time killer if you just want good casual fun to kill stress tho some of the hard mode glitches uggh lol I’d wait for a discount but like $15 vs th e current $20

I really wanted to like and recommend this game, but I cannot.

On the surface, the idea sounds great. Mix and match pieces of different retro games/genres and play through whatever wackiness gets created.

In reality, the game overall fails to deliver. Individual mashes take at most 10 minutes to play through, but rarely did I ever spend that much time in any one “game”. Instead, some are so easy (even on a hard setting) that you’re in and out in a matter of 30 seconds or less. The game description even calls out that some mash ups easy to win, some will be impossible. That’s acceptable given the premise.

.99 cents is an insult. i would pay 9.99 for this

i wish jungle strike had been this good. i wish nuclear strike had been this intense. holy crap i have no idea where to begin

the title screen explodes into synths that would make kenny loggins weep. the menu is clean and simple and quickly gets you to exactly what you want, all while that music keeps it bumpin. training gets you comfortably and confidently in the air. instant action like raiding enemy bases or hopping from island to island defending yours. free flight that lets you customize the engagement. a campaign to test how many days you can last completing random objectives. a really informative weapons menu that i could not even pay attention to cuz of that sick music

Arkhouse makes very strange games that tend to be as unique as they are confusing, but they are also very rewarding if you manage to find the patience and push through them. This game has a ‘boss rush’ and ‘bullet hell’ aspect to it, however, it is a multigenre game that incorporates some occasional platforming, space shooting, and top-down exploration, not to mention the signature ‘WTF Arkhouse narrative’. That being said, every time I play a game by Arkhouse it’s a steep learning curve as the games never work exactly as one would expect. I have been somewhat harsh on the developer in the past, but not because I did not enjoy the games - if anything I wish they were a bit more accessible to the general public. Compared to previous titles like Mirage of Dragon, Saturn Quest is not too difficult to navigate as long as you not skipping the dialogue. Arkhouse games tend to have hidden passages so you need to read the dialogue for the hints or you going to be running around the map completely clueless.

I played the original free version a long time ago on Yoyo games and was an excellent game. This version expands the original version with many improvements, new modes and music. On writing this review I have played through the majority of the classic mode and briefly tried out most of the modes. There has been clearly a lot of time and love put into this game as it is highly polished and well featured. The graphics are very nice - in particular I like the animated backgrounds that are very colourful.

DISCLAIMER: This is a first impressions review, and NOT a full review

greenTech+ is a game developed and published by Vertigo Gaming, the same person behind the Cook, Serve, Delicious series

The game offers some really nice graphics and a nice yet simplistic aesthetic which is pleasant all the same and has some amazing attention to detail even though it is a little rough around the edges

The game does suffer with some repetitiveness at certain areas of the game but a fun game nonetheless and ends just at the right time

Look at first clip. This is the game. It’s good to kill a few minutes here and there.

But it have some cons: 1. Full screen only

2. Low resolution

Both combine to really bad pixalated and not in a good way graphically.

3. Exit the game doesn’t really works when pressing on Esc.

All in all, it’s good.

Halloween Forever

Halloween Forever

Just finished the game with all six runes with all 5 characters. Absolutely loved it! Not crazy hard, especially with some of the characters, but it was a ton of fun.

+Amazing environments (levels aren’t just arbitrary tilesets, they follow a narrative)

+Fun moves and control

+Fun, not overly challenging gameplay and boss fights

-Short, but very replayable arcade gameplay

Edit: After topping most of the speedrun leaderboards, I can say this game is well worth the pricetag easily. Plenty of room for optomization for those looking to master the game. The controls are pretty tight and the characters each have their nuances.

Nintendo hard era platformer with holiday charm. I say Nintendo hard because if you die on a level you will restart that level. If you lose your lives, you restart the game. Although this game is best played around Halloween when you are in high spirits for such festivities this game is still a pretty fun game to experience. There are a few flaws which i would say prevent me from recommending at full price, but this game has enough charm that I’d say pick it up sometime when it’s on a sale.

Spirits of Metropolis: Legacy Edition

Spirits of Metropolis: Legacy Edition

They won’t let me play the way I want. I can’t work on it while paused. I can’t slow down the timer. And it is ridiculously short time to do anything. I don’t have time to think or figure out how the scoring works. It also doesn’t show me the score after my attempt is done. The gems are kind of ugly because the game hasn’t been updated to modern standards and the hitboxes for the gems are tiny. I need to bring the mouse over and hit that gem dead center in order for it to register and that takes extra time the game just won’t give me. Its like they wanted this to be frustrating because it has interesting gameplay mechanics. They ruin it with the timer and high precision, fiddly hitboxes.

I remember playing the original version of this back on YoYoGames. The nostalgia definitely is there. Plus, now I get to try the new game modes I never did before. It’s still a fun clever puzzle with some silly and interesting ideas. Worth it!

Disclaimer: My scores/reviews are almost always based on having bought the game at close to the “lowest historical price” on steam at time of purchase.

Quick score: 3/5

Things I disliked:

The game is pretty basic and repetitive. And visually never changes at all really.

There is no way to exit the game outside of alt f4

There is a “bug” with the challenge mode where if you last played story mode in “perfect” mode and then switch to challenge mode, you will still only have 1 life.

And the final stage almost made me refund the game out of rage.
