Honest Review

Very unique style zombie survival shooter, probably among’st the best block cartoon graphics I’ve seen in a while and the zombies look great, game feels a little bare bones when firing weapons and fighting. Game is overall bare bones still in a way, weapons need a better firing animation and running needs a better run animation, not just looking like I’m sliding across the floor. The perk system is somewhat unique but i don’t know if you should exactly call it a, “Unique Perk System”, as I’ve seen perks and systems like these in other games before, so it’s known. I love how you have to scrap items placed around the home to get scraps to repair things. Gives more to do as to not just starting a wave a shooting z’s. You also, have that other task of getting scraps. You can also buy weapons and get treasury at the end of every round to choose from three rewards. Nice touch up. The game is good just needs some adjustments and better animations, maybe make the first map free to explore outside of the home and place hidden objects or items with a higher scrap reward in return for taking greater risks to go out there, would make the game a little more uneasy and unsettling to take risks like that. Game is overall great, I’m not refunding it even if I don’t have anyone to play it with, love it. So much fun. Please do not abandon your game like a lot of other developers. You have a gem here in this game genre and there’s potential for your game. Not saying “gem” as in it’s a one of a kind, but, there’s not many out there that are like this and do it the way you guys have done it. Good Game and the price was right for what it is.

Who knew, a discounted price on an early access game would lead to so much fun, and enjoyment between me and my friends. And that for all its fault at this point, Ive enjoyed every minute.

Graphics 7/10

I get the style they’re going for, they’re not great graphics but i don’t think that’s the point here. They do a good job of being clear and differentiating between zombies, indication for traits, and such. But overall you won’t be impressed and honestly the graphics might even be off putting but i highly recommend giving it a shot, despite this.

Boppio

Boppio is a factory building game that takes inspiration from other games in this genre but does have its own unique flair. The pipe/tube system with its automatic routing feature makes it easy for even beginners of the genre to hop in and start building. As expected for an early access game, there is not a lot of end game content yet, but given the content that already exists it is a steal of a deal and well worth the purchase. I also believe the developer has already planned out and is working towards the next major content patch which is an even bigger bonus.

The solo dev (John) behind this game couldn’t care more about this game and his community. He streams development on twitch 5+ days per week and is constantly engaging with the players and responding to all types of feedback.

Gameplay is obviously inspired by factorio, but the replacement of belts with tubes, creates a significant enough gameplay change to really alter the way you think and play and has lots of room to be expanded upon.

As of launch, the game is currently light on content, that said, having been following and playing through this game for the 6 months prior to steam release I can attest to that the rate of development and know a lot gameplay, content and bugfixes will continue to flow over the course of Early Access.

Alrighty 500+ hours in I finally feel good about doing a proper review of this game. This new early access RTS title has a huge future in Tournaments and game play. The development team behind the game are a team of passionate individuals who love this game and are giving it their all probably at the expense of rest and vacation time. This team is incredibly active in their discord and their stream content on all the work that they are doing on this game and have been an absolute joy to discuss and play the game with. Yes the devs have so much passion for this game you can find yourself playing with them as they test and modify game settings to make the game experience better. This team even though the game is in early access have worked so hard on the functionality, latency and path finding of this game since day one that it is now in a very playable and fun state. It is still early access and many things will change over time as they develop the game fully but I cannot recommend it enough to anyone who loves RTS and wants to get a head start on this early access title which will definitely be the future of RTS gaming and Tournaments. Things to look forward to in this game the first ever fully coop RTS genre, a single player and potentially coop campaign mode, survival of waves of trolls or just simply jumping into sandbox to test game features or build a dwarven city. You can test your metal against the computer ai as you get ready to jump into conquest with your friends against many challengers with many different strategies. Take your time and play solo in skirmish vs the ai to learn the 3 roles and how they go together in a competitive match. Play as either the warrior, builder, and miner or as all three against an ai opponent or against waves of enemies as you learn the game before the campaign release. I cannot recommend this game enough for RTS lovers everywhere Hero Coop RTS the first of its genre i have ever seen. Check out the friend-pass today to see if the game is right for you! Jump in the discord and hop in with the community as they learn the game as it evolves and updates through patch notes and hot fixes; find what role fits you best is it the multitasking warrior ever vigilant, the miner ever advancing or the builder ever expanding. Or are you one of the few jack of all trades people who can do it all and fill any group with what they need. More content is on the way for this game all the time and it is all exciting! Don’t miss your chance to be a part of it. The weakest point of the game right now is the population easily fixed by more people playing!

Edit: 1.0 Dwarfheim release 27.September.2021

Issues from first playable demo are still not resolved,

-Pathfinding: Every unit feels like it’s skating, they cannot find path and are constantly getting stuck on terrain, buildings, other units.

And in general dozen and dozen other game breaking mechanics that i spot in ONE game that need fixing like:

Capturable Runes on minimap are drawn after the units hiding them on minimap.

No notification sound when your unit off camera gets attacked.

Balance is whack AF. One turret that costs like 2-3 units require dozen of units to kill it for price of a turret. Making turret spam OP, plus it costs no pop. Then add other buildings infront of the turret like walls or houses and you broke the game.

Rising Constellation

Rising Constellation

Rising Constellation is an awesome game which is mixing strategy and role play at a perfect level.

It offers many distinct gameplay based on factions and its agents mechanics - however, remind it’s strongly depends on team play!

Indead, this game is part of those who are perfectly designed to work in cooperation with your mates, but definitely not alone.

Use Siderians and rule your teamates, just because you’ll get the economy power - or perhaps you’ll prefer bite everyone using large fleets lead by Navarques.

Rising Constellation is 4x RST game still in developpment.

Created from a small team of Swiss developper, I was a player of thier first MMO RTS 4x game: Asylamba.

I see RC (Rising Constellation) like an MMO RTS 4x game based on Agents (Navarques – Ereased – Sidérians).

I really enjoy the game for is background story (lore can be added by players participation) , B&W graphic style and is MMO possibility !

There is now 1 mod to play : fast flash 2H gamemode , this is quite small with 1 or to 2 games per week with a small cummunity.

Let me begin with, I was one of the individuals who contributed to the Kickstarter to help this game become a reality. Heck, I remember when Sebastian was showing off his concept work using programmer art to demonstrate the systems he was working on. Then Garret hopped on the train and the game REALLY took off. I would liken this game to a beautiful fusion of the original Theme Park by Bullfrog and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2. I will explain the how and why later on in my review. This game as a whole is a massive labor of love by everyone involved and it truly shines because of this.

Buckle up; it’s a lot of words!

I initially “reviewed” Parkitect back in 2016, while the game was still in it’s alpha state of development. Not a full-fledged review, more a preview. It would be unfair to judge something that isn’t done. Yet, back then, I felt the urge to write about this wonderful game (as will be clear when you read it below).

The alpha version in 2016, it was already really good. But it has always been good. The thing is, now, it has consistently gotten better - and better. Every month, somehow, the updates are exciting and interesting. Sometimes grand, sometimes small but helpful. Always stepping up from the excellent work that has been done before.

Circle Empires Rivals

Circle Empires Rivals

Circle Empires: Rivals is the multiplayer successor to Circle Empires. At its core, Circle Empires Rivals is a 10-25 minute long real time strategy game. Despite the short game length, it has quite a lot of content and depth, and easily gets a strong recommendation given its moderate to low price point.

At the time of writing this review, the game has 7 different game modes, 26 commanders with unique army compositions and bonuses, 6 difficulty settings, 5 different map sizes, and within the various game modes (such as stop the army and monster hunt) there are also different scenario selections available. The different game modes range from very easy to very difficult, and even with 4 people working together in a co-op game certain modes like Defend the Castle mode is extremely difficult on even moderate difficulty settings, so if you like a PvE challenge, the game has this available.

Must buy for every RTS fan and people who would like to experience something unique with alot of variety.

You can play this game on easy mode or incredible challenging. There are a lot of game modes and coop makes alot of fun too. The game is also very well made no bugs and a great interface!

Got 32hours on the first one and with this game I expect getting closer to 100+ hours for only 8-12 euro you got great value.

If you want to play this coop, but don´t have someone to play it with, I am always looking for people to play it with, since it just makes even more fun in coop-mode.

Pacific Life

Pacific Life

Pacific Life is a first-person game where you start with only a few tools in a small village. What happens next is all yours!

Start your life without worrying

The only thing you will have to care about is your hunger and wellness.

But even if both are empty, you cannot die!

In fact, in Pacific Life, there is no “health point”. You can play without the need of surviving!

Pacific Island… And more!

A whole 4km² Island for you to explore, gather, and to build on!

Until.. you get a way to reach more lands?

Help the Island to progress!

When you start your adventure on Pacific Island, there is not much technology. Maybe you could fix that?

Community based economy

The village is everyone’s starting point. But once on Pacific Island, the server’s economy will almost entirely depend on all players!

If by example, one decides to buy all the wood he can possibly find, then the wood’s price will drastically increase and it will be hard for you or other players to buy some if you needed to.

On the contrary, if that one’s player decides to sell tons of wood, then the price will decrease and will be very easy to find in a shop!

So join Pacific Life now and start your new adventure!
