Absolutely great game. It’s had me hooked for about a week straight. It’s a spin on the basic old formula of buy low, sell high. Only difference is you now have to deal with a robotic competitor that just dropped a wonderful EMP bomb on your group of steel mills, putting them out of commission. Then the rates rose due to increased buying from the other competitors, after which he sold off all of his stock. Some sold very high, the rest of the selling tanked the market price, and now the steel I just started producing again is worthless. What a nice fellow! And that’s about the first 3 minutes of my average match. It seems fairly simple and straight forward at first, but there is quite a bit of strategy involved. Resource monopolies, price manipulation, technology patents, flat out blowing up an opponent’s building…. there’s a lot you can do. It takes a while to get the hang of it, but if you like RTS games, as well as putting your opponents in the poor house, then it’s definitely worth a buy.

I am very pleased to give this game the thumbs up - I own it since its launch on Steam. I had a feeling it will grow well and achieve a good level of greatness by the time it was finihsed. Coming back to it now, over 9 months later, I cannot help but enjoy what the developer (Sören Johnson was the lead designer of Civilization 4) has achieved. Regardless whether in single player or multiplayer, you are treated to a fast-paced, ever-be-on-your-toes gameplay. To me, this is the best fast-paced economic sim I have ever played.

Alrighty 500+ hours in I finally feel good about doing a proper review of this game. This new early access RTS title has a huge future in Tournaments and game play. The development team behind the game are a team of passionate individuals who love this game and are giving it their all probably at the expense of rest and vacation time. This team is incredibly active in their discord and their stream content on all the work that they are doing on this game and have been an absolute joy to discuss and play the game with. Yes the devs have so much passion for this game you can find yourself playing with them as they test and modify game settings to make the game experience better. This team even though the game is in early access have worked so hard on the functionality, latency and path finding of this game since day one that it is now in a very playable and fun state. It is still early access and many things will change over time as they develop the game fully but I cannot recommend it enough to anyone who loves RTS and wants to get a head start on this early access title which will definitely be the future of RTS gaming and Tournaments. Things to look forward to in this game the first ever fully coop RTS genre, a single player and potentially coop campaign mode, survival of waves of trolls or just simply jumping into sandbox to test game features or build a dwarven city. You can test your metal against the computer ai as you get ready to jump into conquest with your friends against many challengers with many different strategies. Take your time and play solo in skirmish vs the ai to learn the 3 roles and how they go together in a competitive match. Play as either the warrior, builder, and miner or as all three against an ai opponent or against waves of enemies as you learn the game before the campaign release. I cannot recommend this game enough for RTS lovers everywhere Hero Coop RTS the first of its genre i have ever seen. Check out the friend-pass today to see if the game is right for you! Jump in the discord and hop in with the community as they learn the game as it evolves and updates through patch notes and hot fixes; find what role fits you best is it the multitasking warrior ever vigilant, the miner ever advancing or the builder ever expanding. Or are you one of the few jack of all trades people who can do it all and fill any group with what they need. More content is on the way for this game all the time and it is all exciting! Don’t miss your chance to be a part of it. The weakest point of the game right now is the population easily fixed by more people playing!

Edit: 1.0 Dwarfheim release 27.September.2021

Issues from first playable demo are still not resolved,

-Pathfinding: Every unit feels like it’s skating, they cannot find path and are constantly getting stuck on terrain, buildings, other units.

And in general dozen and dozen other game breaking mechanics that i spot in ONE game that need fixing like:

Capturable Runes on minimap are drawn after the units hiding them on minimap.

No notification sound when your unit off camera gets attacked.

Balance is whack AF. One turret that costs like 2-3 units require dozen of units to kill it for price of a turret. Making turret spam OP, plus it costs no pop. Then add other buildings infront of the turret like walls or houses and you broke the game.

Rising Constellation

Rising Constellation

Rising Constellation is an awesome game which is mixing strategy and role play at a perfect level.

It offers many distinct gameplay based on factions and its agents mechanics - however, remind it’s strongly depends on team play!

Indead, this game is part of those who are perfectly designed to work in cooperation with your mates, but definitely not alone.

Use Siderians and rule your teamates, just because you’ll get the economy power - or perhaps you’ll prefer bite everyone using large fleets lead by Navarques.

Rising Constellation is 4x RST game still in developpment.

Created from a small team of Swiss developper, I was a player of thier first MMO RTS 4x game: Asylamba.

I see RC (Rising Constellation) like an MMO RTS 4x game based on Agents (Navarques – Ereased – Sidérians).

I really enjoy the game for is background story (lore can be added by players participation) , B&W graphic style and is MMO possibility !

There is now 1 mod to play : fast flash 2H gamemode , this is quite small with 1 or to 2 games per week with a small cummunity.

Age of Empires® III (2007)

Age of Empires® III (2007)

Age of Empires III. How can one possibly begin to review a game of such magnitude and prevalence that this game holds on the gaming world? A game that, even though it has been out for over 10 years, has a large active online community? It isn’t possible, but I shall nevertheless try.

This game has a rich story, which is full of interesting historical points. Even though it is fictional, it pleasantly covers the conquests of the new world. In the vanilla version and “The War Chiefs” expansion, the player can endeavour to fight against various European civilisations in order to achieve glory and fame throughout the Americas. In “The Asian Dynasties” expansion, it spans centuries of Asian colonialization by the British as well as the Japanese and the Chinese Dynasties.

A fine installation in the Age of Empires series that has a greater emphasis on combat as well as teaching you about things other than human resource management and medieval history lessons. Instead, you will gain a deep knowledge of zoology and learn how to beat up people and steal their stuff.

General:

Zoology Lessons – Some things you will learn: Capybaras and tapirs live in Central and South America, Ibex, Saigas, and Marco Polo sheeps live in central Asia, Serows live in Japan and the rest of Asia.

Factorio

Factorio

The absolute gold standard in factory games, standing out as the exemplar of smooth progression curves, options out the ears, gameplay that keeps the “one more turn” itch going and developers that care far beyond selling copies. To elevator pitch this one, “If you can do it, you can automate it.”

To describe Factorio by only using games that preceded it feels like an exercise in futility. The concept was born from Minecraft mods, but it feels unfair to compare the two or make the Terraria reference (this, but in 2D). So, taken on its own, Factorio is a game where you play an engineer who is trying to escape the situation they are in by building a rocket. But since the refining and assembling of material components for that sort of thing is unfeasible by yourself, you must build a factory to automate the process. Along the way you must research concepts and upgrades for the planet you are on, mine resources and deal with the locals (in the form of giant insects).

I read a comment by a user saying “If you enjoy creating your own problems and solving them this is for you.” and he was bang on the money.

tl;dr

The knock-on effect caused by dependencies across an entire production chain will drive you nuts and it’s this that makes you play and I mean MAKES you play. Sleep is not an option.

Take the awful trailer gameplay and realize that the trailer makes this horrendous game look about 50 times better than it actually is. Now you have a good idea of what to expect should you purchase this big pile of asset poo.

Motion Blur and lag is a constant. To make matters worse, the motion blur cannot be turned off in the game settings. Ugh.

Shame on this developer for just cobbling together a bunch of assets in what I call an ARSM (Asset Reliant Sloppy Mess)

Before anything, let me tell you a bit about GSC’s history.

This Ukrainian game developper, founded in 1995, was reputed for RTS (Cossacks) and FPS (S.T.A.L.K.E.R.) games. In 2004, they opened up a branch company named “GSC World Publisher”, allowing them to publish games without being EA’d, I believe…

In 2007, they made S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, which was followed by 2 brilliant sequels in 2008 and 2009 respectively. They tried to port it into consol. However, due to a lack of manpower, they instead decided to make S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, but that game was cancelled since they were then on a financial problem. December 9 2011 would mark their official disclosure. Vostok Games was created not long after by the GSC staff members with their F2P game Survarium. On december 22 2014, after a controversy with another game developper that I won’t name, GSC re-opened and announced what will become Cossacks 3.

Cossacks 3 The game we can say one of the Legend Strategy games ;

*Game mechanics almost same as old legend cossack game’s.

*Same game engine as old cossack game’s.

*Battlefield is fun and better with line ! (you better get tactic and prepare before attack)

*Game had improve!

*Has some texure issues that makes gameplay a bit bad.

*Developers give updates slowly.(mean real slowly)

*Improved upgrade.

*Campaign to play storyline in battlefield !

Graphic 7/10 well done ! graphics just like old games of cossack but better version of it could be better ? -yes.
