Alicia Quatermain: Secrets Of The Lost Treasures
like many other time management games of its kind, this is what one might call a “grinder”. to make any headway, one needs to keep grinding away at the levels to try getting the best results.
also like many others like it, it’s a pretty simple game. nothing fancy, nothing exciting. the story is fairly simple as well. not dark, nothing scary and pretty routine in the way it’s set up.
the draw has more to do with nostalgia than anything. unless you’re a youngster, you likely have heard of the serial movies (based on novels from 1885) about the great Alan Quatermain. (misspelled in the game actually… it should be two Ls. but that’s just nitpicking on my part.)

REVIEW
I loved this game! I really enjoy the gameplay of it, it’s not like a regular tycoon game on a phone or android where you just tap for coins; theres recipes, goals, different coffee shop levels, and the best part is that it’s in alpha stage, once it releases I expect there to be more levels, more recipes, and better 2D placement. The only concern I had was, that on the mall stage it wouldn’t let me progress to the next shop, the progression bar would go up, and the robot you’d click was not there, almost as it wasn’t even there. I spent about 1-2 hours on that shop just to have to restart. Other than that, this game is fun to play if you have nothing to do, or just want a new variety of gaming.

Think The Sims, but with coffee shops. This is the me-ist game I’ve ever purchased. And yes, it’s riddled with bugs, but that doesn’t warrant bad reviews. (It really doesn’t - I finished this game despite the bugs. There are cheat codes you can use to warp to the otherwise unreachable subsequent levels, and you’ll find ways around the glitches. More on that later.) These bugs are definitely a shame, but I beg you to stick with it, or at least pick it up again when the patch rolls around. It is so worth playing.

The following review applies to all games from the “12 Labours of Hercules” series. Even though they have different themes, they all have the same gameplay style and overall quality.
The “12 Labours of Hercules” series has extremely captivating resource-management games, with beautiful and enjoyable graphics, sound effects and soundtrack. Even though they are casual games, they offer some challenge if played in difficult mode. The achievements are relatively easy to get - by the time you finish the game, you’ll probably have gotten them all, or at least have just a couple to complete.

12 Labours of Hercules IV: Mother Nature (Platinum Edition)
A set of four equally nice, neatly made (in every aspect) time managers. Slightly diversified (with new game play features, bonuses and surprises) to make each game a bit different, while keeping enough in common with the previouse one(s), which shortens waste of time and nerve on mastering the next game, that’s valuable. Repetative, yet it feels all right here, can’t remember myself being driven into bore even once. I beat all four games 100% on expert difficulty and still wouldn’t mind to see the fifth. Taken into account the fact that games like these are not my idea of fun (or they weren’t at least))) - what better recommendation could i give to a game. If you are looking for a highly involving and entertaining, not all that hard yet challenging enough game - check this one. Probably you will be pleased even beyond your expectations.

I really wish Steam would add more than just the thumbs up and thumbs down. How about a ‘up yours’ rating, ‘you can kiss my’ rating and a ‘meh shrugged shoulders’ rating. This game falls more to the meh side of things. While I have followed the previous four instalments of the 12 labours of Hercules, I’m now left with disillusionment where they are going with all this. This fifth game adds nothing new whatsoever and just feels like a stepdown dlc in comparison to the fourth masterpiece. For one thing the story to this one is that there are zombie children and Hercules has to juggle fruit in front of them to snap them out of it. SERIOUSLY? What the HELL does this have to do with Hercules and the 12 labours? Completely lost me now. Change the name to suit. How about ‘The 12 drug induced illusions of Hercules’. That would make much more sense.

Calmed by the Dark Leviathan
The world is way bigger than it needs to be.
Content is locked behind arbitrary electricity walls that you generate over time.
The writing is janky and weird.
While driving around, the sprites stutter and jitter.
Someone spent a lot of time on this but it needs to go back into the ideas pile.

Magic Potion Destroyer
If you’re the kinda guy who one day dreams of having a fully automated army of robot slaves to do your every bidding, then this is the game for you. Also math. Cause math=fun, right?
Alt review: it’s a clicker without the clicking, and a much better story, graphics, and music than it’s predecessor.. Also way more challenging, cause some of the higher difficulties include the possibility of losing. The hardest difficulty? You can’t replay levels/grind, and if you die, you have to start from scratch.
