At first the game was fun, with all of the obstacles and everything. But after the 5th level, everything became more of a headache instead of entertainment. Not to mention, all of the achievements seem to require a 3 star rating, which was not specified. And since all of the levels become extremely difficult and tedious, you can’t get the achievements. Also, the achievement “Ultimate Scrapbooker” does not unlock even when finishing the game.

Giants: Citizen Kabuto

When I was but a wee lad… I played this game on PlayStation 2. Here we are, many years later, though, and it has finally returned to me on Steam, in the format of the original PC edition, which I have been wanting for a while. And, well, put simply… It’s exactly as good as I remember. There’s some significant differences, if you played it on PS2 as well, but it’s still one of my all time favorite games for a reason.

The differences from PS2 are miniscule, as the blood is red instead of green, a few cutscenes were lost while new ones appeared, and you can decide at what pace to build your base (as well as control it’s turrets), among a few other things. As a whole, the game is the same, but with more added on.

Golems TD

The very short version is: So many things are wrong that I cant complete the tutorial. (I’m not even sure its possible to fail it, endless wave thing) Feels like early alpha on kickstarter.

I will not refund it, because someone accomplished his goal and made a game, he deserves something for that.

Ok so, it would be wrong to offer nothing but criticism, thus ill start with the good.

Good stuff: Behind the clumsy interface, there is a potential depth of gameplay here. The idea of alternating between heroes and towers is not bad, and crafting crystals mid fight as well as non-tower structures (gathering, fusing) could have some weight in forging a deep strategy later on.

Bit Shifter

Bit Shifter

At the time of this writing I’ve only played Bit Shifter for 2.5 hours, but I’ve already seen enough to know that I’ll be putting a lot of time into this little gem. In fact the only reason I’m not playing at the moment is because I feel compelled to tell all of my fellow gamers about it.

Bit Shifter is an Early Access game, and having been bitten badly by an early access game once before in which the devs just walked away from it unfinished without having done much at all with it, I was somewhat hesitant about signing up for another one. But the price is low enough that I decided to give early access another try. I’m glad I did. Bit Shifter has the feel of an already finished, well polished game, and therefore I can only assume that they’ve introduced it as an early access game out of an abundance of caution. Thus far I have not encountered any bugs or even as much as a hiccup. In my experience, that’s pretty unusual even for finished AAA games from big name studios. Admittedly I’ve only been playing for 2.5 hours, and there’s still plenty of room for a bug to show up somewhere, but I take pride in writing honest and factual reviews, and if any significant problems pop up, I won’t hesitate to amend my review, though to be fair I always notify the devs and give them a reasonable amount of time to fix it before writing it up. Essentially, the more hours past 2.5 I get without amending the review, the safer you can feel about the game and the game devs’ willingness to fix problems.

Update 6/22/2018:

In my original review, I wrote:

“I hope this game does well, and that they’ll keep improving it.”

…What happened? Where did the development go? I really really really really wanted this game. It was great, I just couldn’t run it very well at all.

I don’t want to let this game go. :(

(Original review)

I was a beta Tester for this game, and it was a fun experience.

((Review is biased toward having mainly played on the highest difficulty.

TL;DR - Great game, worth cost, cute story, addictive.

I played the Demo before the game came out. I knew it was a good game because I couldn’t get it out of my head and checked almost daily to see if it was officially out yet.

The full game is just as addictive as I’d hoped. I’m well versed in these types of management games and was happy that there was a good challenge for me when I wanted it. Would recommend to anyone that enjoys management games.

It wasn’t that bad. Quite a challenge to pass your free time but kinda repetitive if aiming to get all achievements.

It’s drag and drop games, kinda clunky at times. To save time and distance, play on a small resolution window mode (but font will be extremely small).

Sometimes the game kinda unresponsive (boss not initiating next action) but it’s very rare.

Tips: Thieves can be bypassed by putting imps with materials on the room before clicking/initiating repair. They will repair before the thieves can steal the materials.

Edit: This game is chugging right along. Still recommend, still think $10 is too much. But if it keeps going, it’ll be worth it in no time.

Ok. Here we are a month and a half in. I just picked up this game because the partner saw it and said it looked like something I would like. I did not realize it was pre-alpha, I just jumped in. Bought it for both of us. We’ve both put about or close to, 10 hours into the game, each.

I want to like this game mainly because I don’t wanna be wrong about spending $10 or go through the refund process. I am really hoping the Dev’s listen to gamer suggestions and improve this little project.

Real player with 18.4 hrs in game

This is currently pre alpha, and that taken into consideration, i could still not recommend. It is utterly unplayable 5 min in with frames counting 1/min.

I’m gonna wait it out and come back in a year or two. You should do the same, unless you wish to support the devs or just have fun money to spend with little return.

Edit: after another 4+ hours of gameplay, most of which spent on just getting the game off the ground, there are additions to be made.

Hey.

So, i checked it out again as pr your recommendation. I’ve sort of completed the game - in the way that the game’s broken, inhibiting further progress through the story.

B-17 Squadron

B-17 Squadron

Take control of a B-17 in a realistic bomber simulator. Destroy key targets by dropping tons of bombs on them.

Command each member of the crew and feel their stress and tension. Take part in the historical campaign across occupied Europe.

Key features:

  • Manage a B-17 crew.

  • Take direct control over every squad member.

  • Destroy targets.

  • Fight enemies.

  • Command an entire bomber squad.

POWERFUL AIRCRAFT, STRONG CREW

Your plane is fully armed and has tons of cargo on board.

However, even the best-armed and equipped plane is nothing without the efficient crew to make up a successful team.

You will be able to sit at the controls as captain or co-pilot and control this powerful machine as well as manage the flight parameters, engine revs, flaps, etc.

In the radio operator’s room, you can send and receive reports, study the map, and lead the squadron to its destination.

RETURN HOME

You dropped your bombs, didn’t you? The target has been eliminated.

But you’re not done yet. To take part in another mission as a commander, you need to return the bomber and crew home. This might be difficult, especially if your machine has been damaged.

You will feel the tension as you watch the aircraft being damaged.

You know that if the plane is finished, so is the crew. However, remember that you have an engineer on the board, so try to be creative and use what you have at hand to solve any issues that arise.

MANAGE THE PLANE

You will have to face more than the anti-aircraft missiles and Messerschmitt squadrons attacking the formation.

Your tasks will include keeping an eye on fuel, ammunition, and bombs.

At high altitudes, you must also pay attention to your oxygen supply. Make sure your crewmates remember to put on their masks.

Sometimes it will be necessary to sacrifice part of your cargo to have enough fuel to reach the airport.

You will have to deal with malfunctions such as a burning engine, broken wheels, a jammed bomb hatch, and others.

NOT A FIRST-CLASS FLIGHT

The flying fortress mission is not a first-class vacation flight. The living conditions of the crew will not be comfortable. There will be constant stress, adrenaline, and the struggle for survival.

Your weapons will help you survive the storms of anti-aircraft missiles and the attacks of enemy fighters.

Additional protection against the enemy will come from maintaining the proper combat box formation. Twelve bombers are posed to be the most difficult target for the enemy. You will be able to manage the entire wing to complete the mission.

Good luck, Captain!

Drug Dealer Simulator

Drug Dealer Simulator

So I don’t typically review games but I feel like I should review this game considering I put so much time into it and I found myself kinda addicted to it.

Positive:

Alright, the game has a pretty interesting loop that hooks you in. Buy drugs, sell drugs, get new clients, buy more drugs, sell more drugs, and just repeat. You get to upgrade your home, buy new places to work out of. Hire personal dealers. Honestly the legit best part of the game is the music, I don’t know what kinda party is going on in the Twin Towers but I want in on that place. the music is bumpin'.

First I want to establish to the Reader that I have been a beta tester for this game by choice for almost a year so I speak from experience and from heart.

To the point: this game is a SCAM! DO NOT BUY IT! This publisher (MovieGames) specialises in creating noname shell companies which you can find literally no information about. If you do not believe me just try finding any information about this dev company ’Byterunners Game Studio’. I believe they do this to extort money from the publisher and have easy access to it so the game wasn’t made to be a game, it was made to be a bridge between inaccessible money and themselves. That is why this game is in this absolute sorry state and that is why the patches were so slow and crappy. They buy a few assets and use them to create the illusion that they actually do work on the game when they couldn’t give less crap about it. They make a couple of days work last for months and then sell it as hard work because they are indie company and they have just a handful of developers. Bullcrap, anyone remotely versed in unreal engine development knows that they barely touch the game.

Home Wars

Home Wars

I didn’t expect too much from the game besides fighting mass battles with plastic soldiers against bugs in the style of Total War but the game has so much more. It’s like total war with around 10-30% the content, only 1 enemy, no diplomacy, management of only 1 base, ammo management, research and battles.

The good:

  • You have to build your main base in the style of total war

  • You have to manage how much ammo you have in stocks

  • The variety of units is great, there are few simple upgrades to unit stats and new units usually solve a slightly different role while being also stronger. (e.g. slow weak cheap artillery = mobile arty = powerful arty = supressive Arty = versatile Arty)

Home Wars is a fun, refreshing and challenging strategy game.

It’s premise are very interesting and ,dare I say, extremelly original when all the element are taken into account.

I personally loves it, because it strike so many nostalgia chord about old games that I like : ( SimAnts, Earth Defense Force, Toy Commander and Army men)

The game despite it’s simple graphics and childish look is incredibly complete, packed with feature , heavy on unit and weapon diversity and fiendishly hard.

However the game have a good number of flaw, gameplay and balancing wise in Campaign mode.
