Lost Sector
Survive
Equip gear and venture out into an unsettling, destroyed research facility in the far future. Fight your way through the ever increasing difficulties of a changing environment, overrun by hostile creatures to clear the path through the sector.
Upgrade
Collect new modules and abilities, either by taking a risky route, advancing deeper into the facility and gathering rare items, or by taking a much slower, less rewarding, but safer approach. Upgrade your gear in the saveroom before venturing back outside and become powerful enough to defeat the final boss before the sector becomes too overwhelming.
Return
Lost Sector is a dangerous place which will lead to various deaths. Master the combat and learn more about how to overcome the hostile environment and the weak points of its mutated dangers. Unlock new weapons and items each run and slowly discover what happened.

RaceXXL Space
RaceXXL is a decently fun game, but gets boring quick without other players or AI
Pros:

Entertaining when getting wrecked by different obstacles, but that only lasts so long (see cons)
Cons:
- No AI or other players even though game photos show you racing with another vehicle. That doesn’t happen, at least not
for the first 3 races, which was enough to turn me off from continuing playing.
- Background visuals are a bit cheesy but I can’t complain for a 6$ game

Geo
If you like Windybeard’s new pirate game, then you will like this. If you like the decade-old independent flash game “Glean” then you will like this. If you enjoy mindless grinding with no real end in sight, you will enjoy this. I enjoy all three, so I had fun with this. Took me about 60 or 70 hours to reach Division 1.
Here are some tips:
- There are no monsters in the first quadrant and the game isn’t timed, so spend as much time as you like drilling the first few planets. If you drill, for example, 100 blocks of something and you need 100 blocks for your collection, then you will earn money just for that, even if you don’t get to the core or complete your research. So you can drill the same planet like 100 times until you’ve got all the collections you can get from it. [ I enjoy doing stuff like that. If you think that sounds like a grind, this simply isn’t the game for you and we’ll leave it at that! :) ]

Windybeard, Windybeard ….hmmmm ah yes! The Developer of the cool SWEEZY GUNNER. I remember.
SWEEZY GUNNER was a cool Retro Shooter with many nice features and a special Graphic Style, a little bit like a comic.
Normally i do not buy Games blind, but the First Game from Windybeard gave me a good feeling so i bought it today and installed it. Starting the Game it was like coming home to SWEEZY GUNNER, because it has the same graphic Style and if i’m not wrong has Characters from Sweezy Gunner. The shopowner in the game, can it be?

Legacy of the Elder Star
One part of the game that i really enjoyed is the feel of the controls and the speed of the game. Too often in SMUPs i’m cussing at the game because controls are slow, unresponsive, and based off of memorized patterns. I would find myself getting into position before the next wave arrives. When you fail in a scenario here, it’s because of your own responsiveness and it’s easily recognizeable.
That being said, there is sufficient challenge and creativity in the waves. Throughout the levels, each one was unique and brought a different challenge to face. One thing i notice in a lot of games is that level after level is another case of ‘same stuff, different level.’ Same moves, same patterns, etc. I really thought that each level was dynamic and would build off the previous one.

What this game does, it does extremely well. The music and art style fit perfectly. I really love the mouse controls, especially when using the star dash secondary. It really doesnt feel like any other shmup out there.
It is worth noting however that there isnt much of it, I personally unlocked everything there was to unlock after running through story mode 4 times and this took me about 2 hours playtime. Once this is done you have 3 unlocked game modes to try out. I personally feel that it a little backwards to unlock practice mode to try out the levels after you have completed story mode. Gauntlet mode lets you attempt all the games bosses on a single life, this is defintitely not something I see myself doing :)

BYTEPATH
Awesome game where a huge skilltree can give many possible builds. Shame on me for buying it on sale… _
The real deal in the game is how you build your ship, not how you drive it. Because classes and skills you’ll take will do nearly everything when you start a fight.
There’s so many nodes in the skilltree, you could be anything… except there’s still limits to how many points you can attribute. And when you want to make high scores, you have to learn how the game works. And “escaping”, your ultimate goal, isn’t that hard when you master the system.

This was more fun than i anticipated.
you have several different " device" ships, a gigantic skill tree thats the honey-comb looking thing you see in the screenshots, it’s HUGE.
you also have " classes " each tier has several to choose from, all have positive and negatives - huge customization, each level brings more classes and the cost goes up/
And all of these things, can be re-rolled, and done again.
It’s almost endlessly replayable in this way.
The main game is a simple Asteroids - type game. You rotate the ship, it propels at it’s own velocity (depending on what device type it is, and all the passives you have applied, plue class benefits ) and it auto fires as well under the same rules.

Defense Grid: The Awakening
Allow me my conceit.
DG is the best video game I have ever played, and many of you reading this could my grandkids friends.
I usually avoid pronouncements. I avoid posting comments even more, but DG is so special, so rare, I must share with you why you should buy it.
Check how many hours I have invested in this love affair. I still play every week. I invite you to check older posts from pre-2010 to see how this game enveloped not just me but a whole community being introduced to tower defense for the first time, not to mention veterans of the genre.

Edge Of Galaxy
On the main menu screen there’s New Game, Tutorial, Settings, Achievements, Statistics and Exit. The tutorial will take you over the basics of the game and isn’t very long. There are two game modes: Sandbox and Explorer. Sandbox is where you’ll make your way through a galaxy which is divided into sectors. Each sector consists of multiple coordinates and is controlled by one of the five factions: Mercenary, Federation, Ocrons, Krios and Raiders.

Early Access success
Currently, the best-implemented part of the game is fighting. Battles are dynamic and short. At the same time, proper mercenary management and equipment improvement have great importance. The development of the armada was interestingly solved after each skirmish, we have a choice of who get the spoils “mercenaries” or commander. This is not an easy decision: we buy ship upgrades and equipment from the fleet budget, but it is money for ship crews that enables them to grow. Just traveling from system to system and increasing your fleet’s battle potential can give you a lot of satisfaction. A very interesting aspect of the game are also enemy special forces, which actively hunt your fleet on the main map, putting some pressure on the player. Five different factions to choose from also increase the potential replayability of this title.

FTL: Faster Than Light
It’s cheap, it’s fun, there’s lots of different ways to play. There’s lots of mods that add tons more content. Easily one of the funnest games I’ve played.

Hot Plates
I’ve looked a long time for a good cooking game. I finally thought I found it when I discovered Overcooked. But I soon realised OC is primarily based on a good ‘fun with friends’ coop title. Which is fine n dandy dandy n fine but missin certain aspects I wanted to play in a cooking game.
The description on the Store page of HP convinced me that some (not all) of my desired missin aspects were fulfilled. So I purchased this ridiculously cheap title.
ATM HP is buggy. Graphical glitches here n there, equipment appearin, disappearin & lackin optimisation. But in sayin that its very playable.

For me the controls took some getting used to and sometimes I still struggle to target exactly what I want. After the first few days it can get pretty hard to keep up with orders and you will run out of supplies a lot. I recently restarted my cafe so I haven’t gotten really far in the game yet and I’m hoping there’s upgrades that make things easier in the future. I am enjoying it so far but it’s not as casual as I expected a cooking game to be mostly because of the controls. At $5 it’s certainly worth a try if you enjoy cooking/restaurant management games.
