Dandy Dungeon - Legend of Brave Yamada -
Loved this game back when it was still on mobile. So far this version doesn’t disappoint either. This version is free from the f2p mechanics that it had on phones, and It’s a real gem. Gameplay is quite unique and the story and characters are… crazy weird lovable. You can see a lot of love has been put into this by the devs!
Some points of critique:
-
An important/critical gameplay mechanic (“0-hp healing”) is never explained in-game
-
Overall, the pacing of the game has some problems. Some dungeons (and especially some bosses) are quite hard or almost impossible to beat without specific resistances, but the equipment that gives you those are hard to discover or only unlocked quite late. (Still looking for ice resistance shield at the time of writing this…)

Don’t get me wrong the game was fun and charming but some people including me run into some major bug. If you are one of the lucky one whose games don’t get bug, then good for you. While they do accept bug report, they never tell us when exactly will they fix said bug. Also none of the people who posted about bug on steam ,never said that the latest patch fix their bug.
This is the bug I have. I can’t access the special store in which preventing me from getting revival item aka riceball. Not having revival item isn’t game-breaking right now but when part 2 hit us ,the game difficulty will increase even more. Plus they will add new costume in that shop meaning I will be missing out on content (that I paid for). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alnuxdj4qhQ

Phantom 3D
Phantom 3D is a spiritual successor to early maze based 3D games of the 80’s such as 3D Monster Maze or Maze War. Like those games it has a pretty simple gameplay loop in which you must collect treasure and find a key and exit to get out of the maze, however there is a timer counting down that once it reaches the end a phantom will enter the map and head directly for the the player. You can get scrolls that will increase your time limit and can be used to push the phantom away once he spawns on map. If the phantom catches the player he takes your soul and you get a game over.

For a game that’s a couple of bucks. This is not too bad. Sure, the level editor is very limited and you can complete the campaign in under a hour or less. You can easily dodge The Phantom if you just go around him when he gets close. This is like the only horror game where you can customize your surroundings. In other games, the developers just either make you have to code your own or they aren’t targeting horror audiences. So, since this is the only game like that out there, It’s definitely something to buy if you can’t code or are looking for a time killer with just barely any replayability, which stinks but I guess no game can last forever

I absolutely love this game. I find it very relaxing. Well, maybe not relaxing… as it also gives me anxiety. Let me explain: this game lights up every single one of my OCD receptors. Straighten up a room? Yes, please! Pick up all the trash? Ding, ding, ding! Remove/fix problems? Now we’re cooking with gas! Pick up all the “whatever” of that specific group? Bingo! Yahtzee! We’ve got a winner!
And then the anxiety sinks in: I am way too excited about this. This is giving me waaaaaay too much joy. I may need to find a therapist. This can’t be normal.

ENDLESS™ Dungeon
Endless Dungeon is a Rogue-lite Tactical Action game, set in the award-winning but often lethal Endless universe. Recruit a team of shipwrecked heroes, plunge into a long-abandoned space station, and protect your crystal against never-ending waves of monsters… or die trying, get reloaded, and try again.
A NEW ADDITION TO THE ENDLESS UNIVERSE
Well, your ship is dead as a doornail and you’re stuck on some spatial station that went to the dogs back before they knew how to bark. There’s some folks been marooned here for decades, full of tall tales about what is and isn’t; stories about how you might get out – or how you might be stuck here pretty much forever… It’s all on you to figure out what’s happenin’, team up with some other castaways, and survive a brand spanking new story in the Endless universe.
OPENING NEW DOORS FOR THE ROGUE-LITE GENRE
You’d best check your gear and tighten your belt, because behind every door you open is a room that is nasty, new and different. But if you’ve got the right turrets, and got the right iron for the right target, and you use your special talents to hold off the monsters tryin' to chew your crystal, well, you might just live… to open the next door.
RECRUIT YOUR SUICIDE SQUAD
Round up your posse from a roster of “heroes” (that’s stretching the term) from all over the galaxy. Every one of these explorers, treasure hunters, and outlaws has their own tale to spin and their own… peculiarities. So head to the Saloon, equip your squad of three, and see if you can get to the core of the station in one more or less contiguous piece.
VOLUNTEERS WANTED, GENEROUS REWARD!
You can control the whole squad by your lonesome, or round up some friends to unlock the Station’s secrets – and see if you can manage to high tail it out of there together. Have you got the grit to escort the crystal solo, or would you rather test your tactical team survival skills through heaps of doors and herds of monsters?
CRYSTALS ARE FOREVER
You’re gonna mostly be concerned about the health of a rock. Yep, you heard me right. Because without those crystals the whole caboodle falls apart – literally. So ride herd on that crystal and say your prayers, ‘cause bugs, bots and blobs are waiting to bushwhack you around every corner.
Choose Wisely
Pretty boring game that fools You with the title and dialogues into thinking that Your choices matter. They don’t, big spoiler:
! at the end of the game only 1 character survives despite many choices that fool You into thinking if You could save other characters. Level design and story are boring after You know Your choices don’t matter that much. You have to backtrack through many areas which just makes the game longer. The description says the game has “great replayability” but after finishing it once You won’t touch it anyway because of how boring it is. The only people I believe replayed the game 2+ times are achievement junkies like me. I’m still trying to 100% this but it’ll take me a long time because I don’t feel like touching this game anymore right now. I completed 2 playthroughs that took me around 6-7h excluding some afk breaks I had even though I used previous save that was around 60% completion I believe. Basically game save to choose which character keeps the key item. I cannot believe how much developers tried to make the game longer. Even without backtracking the final 30minutes of the game are pure bs. You get to fight all the bosses that You fought already before You get to the final room and have to make final decision. The fact that road to the room was filled with many smaller mobs that would use up Your health, mana and useful items that would help You in these boss fights didn’t help at all. I completed the game at normal difficulty so I don’t even want to imagine how bad it is on hard or masochist. I don’t recommend this game even for its low price. “Choose wisely” is an illusion that gets repeated many times throught the game, there’s a lot of backtracking which doesn’t even help on normal difficulty, I had no fun playing this game. Save Your time and money unless You’re a real masochist though I think masochist difficulty might be too much even for real masochists.

This is probably the most artistic short RPG I’ve played. I’m a perv and I play the game because of… you know… those ‘melons’. I bought it using a coupon I got from crafting my nekonin game badge.
So, this is a short RPG about some characters with different personalities and backgrounds trapped out of nowhere in a mysterious dungeon. The choice you make along the game will decide which may live and die. For those who just want to enjoy the story, there’s the casual mode. If you seek more challenging adventure, you can choose between three levels of difficulties.

Paper Dungeons
Addicting rogue-like, turn-based, dungeon crawler with occasional bugs (gameplay bugs as well as in-game enemy bugs!).
There have been a lot of negative reveiws and I can understand some of their points, but for me the gameplay is addicting and that helps me overcome the irritation of the bugs. I think some reviewers are too hard on indie developers.
Story:
There is minimal story and I don’t remember much (I tend to skim past story scenes so I can get to the killing!). There are scenes every 5 or so dungeons. So if you’re more of a story lover than a gameplay lover, this may not be a game for you.

To be fair I got this game on sale in a bundle, but I chose the bundle because this game looked fun and had some unique concepts to it. Appeared to be a combination of genres and ideas that had potential.
Instead what you end up with is constant bugs. The unique skills meant to make each class fun end up breaking the game as often as they do something useful. Shield slamming with the warrior, invisibility with the rogue and tumbling with the archer… escape the fight and go heal or explore some more etc. except sometimes the enemy gets stuck. or worse, you do and can’t move. or worse yet, you can move, but “you” aren’t where the game says you are. Generally a load from a previous save will correct this, or closing the game and then re-opening it. But sometimes these bugs persist until you move to the next map. You get scrolls that give any class these abilities, which is a gamble that could also cause the bug.

Dreamscape
Alright this game, I know its rpgmaker, but this is Aldorlea for crying out loud! This is by far one of their best games I’ve played! And I’ve played some really good games, and really bad games. This one is a solid 8/10. If anything bad can be said about the game is that its a little too open, and very little direction is given.
I actually the first time through the game had to stop, because I couldn’t figure out a way to make any more progress whatsoever. I had to look at the guide multiple times in order to figure out how to beat this game. It’s not bad in the aspect of difficulty (unless doing true nightmare mode) but it is confusing on the ‘where do I go now’ portion. Several key items are in areas you normally wouldn’t expect, or you do things in ways that are a little too obvious.

Bought this when the grand RPG maker shovelware apocalypse happened and everything was on sale.
Its got about 15 hours of gameplay for one playthrough, with four difficulty modes. I think the intent is that you play it once on each, but I don’t see how someone could stand that.
Its a pretty neat take on a JRPG though. Encounters don’t respawn, Most are mobile and can be avoided and the rest are static and must be fought to physically progress. The characters are cute and the game play is basically like a mix of a point and click adventure/puzzle game and a JRPG. Its neat and the story is decently engaging.

Paper Dungeons Crawler
Paper Dungeons Crawler is a rogue-like RPG.
It has five character classes that share the same weapons and spells.
There’s three difficulty levels and a challenging game for veterans.
It has an option where your character can eat if you wish.
Also the choice to play with or without permanent death.
There are many skills, spells, scrolls and potions to aid your character.
It’s so simple and yet so deep, that even a novice can learn.
There’s even a new Bestiary.
Recommended for fans of Tangledeep.

This is a nice roguelike game. I like that it can be played with the mouse and/or keyboard, and you don’t have to memorize several dozen keyboard commands, making it a rather friendly roguelike for introducing new players to the genre, while still able to challenge veteran players. I love the amount of character customization that is possible, and it is clear that a lot of love and hard work went into making the dungeon levels fun and interesting.
There’s certainly some room for improvement with the interface, and some things could be better explained. Most people don’t instinctively think, “It’s a scroll. I should drag it to the Mouth to use it.” The fact that you have to remove your melee weapon and shield in order to enchant your equipped bow isn’t exactly obvious either. I’m optimistic that these things will be addressed over time and future patches, but even if they are never fixed, I am definitely getting my money’s worth of fun from this game and regret nothing.
