Virtual Cottage

Virtual Cottage

This program is not a game, but a timer, that you can use to track concentration sessions. It’s good to use with the Pomodoro technique.

Some things that I suggest as an improvement are:

  • allowing one more sound to be played besides (wind) and (fire), so that you could hear wind + fire + rain OR wind + fire + snow; and

  • make a “mini view” possible, displaying “clock”, “minutes to go”, “sound effects” controls and “music control”, in a smaller window size.

If the creators really want to “gamefy” this app, I suggest offering in a “shop” different objects to decorate the cottage: vases, plants, calendars, pictures, books, cookpots, rugs, lights, mattress and pillows colors, etc. We’ll not buy those items, but rather receive points on sessions completed according to sessions' durations of time. Then, we can you those received points to “buy” those itens in the “shop” and build our own inventory.

Let’s start with the fact that it’s not really a game, it’s fancy timer and as timer it totally could do better.

You set a name, a time and if you want a signal when it’s out and when it is you may set new one. If you ask me I think it would be nice to make kind of “pomodoro mode” and allow to set 2 timers, for work and for break, so when one timer is out you press “next” without spending time on writing. Though one is nice too.

I love there’s set of white noise generators - can pick few at a time and pretend it’s gross weather outside while you sit here warm by fire. Having a plaid irl totally helps with mood. There’s also music option but nothing I personally like or usually listen so 🤷‍♀️

SpaBerry VR Experience

SpaBerry VR Experience

This might still be the first and only hot tub VR experience. It’s not very stimulating. I enjoy a hot tub, don’t remember the last time I tried it. I’m also concious of how somewhat kinda sort gross they are. It’s like a bacteria stew or something.

! Also, you all pee in the pool and the shower and hot tubs so you can’t buy one from our friends at SpaBerry, not until you clean up your dingleberries. https://youtu.be/Jzap2bwZFho

You do need to do a Windows 7 compatibility fix to get experience to run correctly on the Oculus RIft. It is an advertisement for the Spaberry spa. I had fun though, but not because it’s a good app, just because it’s kind of unintentionally funny. Whole thing is about 5 minutes long.

Please watch my video … I did have fun with it ;) https://youtu.be/Rzvn_XUzifk

Rate 5/10. Needs online or local multiplayer for truly sexy, fun time in the spa. Would give 10/10 if added.

Zen Landscape Editor

Zen Landscape Editor

A great game, relaxing and creative just like how it was promised. But there are some things that can be worked on to make it so much more amazing. For example, placing objects like bridges is really hard to get it where you want, but placing things like people is very smooth and easy. Trees are on sand like platform which kinda ruins the green of many islands. Most objects like the villages are red, but would be cool if you can customize the colors of the ships, people, and structures. Customized controls would be AMAZING, it allows everyone to have their own style. Finally, it is a bit hard to rotate the screen for me. M for mute does not work either.

This is sort of a non-working demo. Its to demonstrate the landscape editor for the game which is still being developed but God willing will be released soon. Hopefully this year. I’ve seen the demos and other information about the game, it is very good!

BUY THIS TO SUPPORT THE AUTHOR! ITS VERY GOOD!

MOENTO - Modular Environment Toolkit

MOENTO - Modular Environment Toolkit

Let me start by saying that this is one of my favorite games at the moment.

I think we all have times when we just don’t know what to play, or you just want to relax and not play CS:GO against spinbotter… This is the game that fills this gap.

I randomly saw this game and instantly fell in love with the assets.

In the beginning it was a little hard to get an overview of all the buttons, but they were all pretty self understanding. After I played a little around I started working on a house. And let me tell… it is SO SATISFYING to do build anything in this game… the animations are on spot 3 I posted it on the Discord of bblessed Gamestudios and the Developer loved it… so sweet.

This is really, really awesome. Once you get used to the controls and how to work things, you can throw together pretty much anything. I give this game a 10/10

So far I am disappointed in this game. From the store page this game looked promising but after purchase you discover there isn’t much interesting and very few options that can be found to play the game. I feel like the $9.99 i spent on this game is way to much for the limitation this game has.

AENTITY

AENTITY

This game was on my wishlist for a long time and I honestly hesitated to get it, because I knew it would probably be quite demanding. When I eventually got it, I still didn’t get started on it for almost a week. Once I did, though, I played it for seven hours straight and took over 200 screenshots during that time. It was just as demanding as I expected it to be, but also quite rewarding because of it, and, in the end, it was one of the most fascinating games I’ve played in a long while.

AENTITY is rewarding, daring, fascinating, even confusing at times, but most of all a creative outlet for those who decide to go all in. It’s a game with rules to learn and secrets to discover, but also a tool for the aspiring artist – or the artist in need of inspiration – as well as a piece of art to meditate over. As a tool it takes some practice to understand what it can do – and what you can do with it – so be prepared to take a lot of screenshots while you learn and then cut them down to a handsome few – or keep them all if that’s your thing. ;) I was really picky when I went through mine and kept only like 10%.

I get abstraction….I get having no ambition or specific goal and just go with intuition in the invisible. I do get painting, arts, emptiness and minimalism… I am friend with every space called silence, void, nowhere and nothing.

But this…Hell no! I don’t know if people that do like this game are smoking weed and enjoy the psychedelic blurs of their screen!!? Maybe my pixel needs HD or a better Screen resolution?! I really don’t get it, didn’t enjoy it, getting to finish the game was a nightmare (getting all the achievements). I never want to play that game again ever. This is sad. So my only true opinion about this game is…Watch videos about a typical 15 minutes of game play and make a mind of your own about this because it is for sure a very peculiar game and maybe you will enjoy it, I didn’t. Bought the game 2 years ago for 4.48$. Can’t say I’m outraged. It’s ok even if I didn’t like the game it’s worth the try and it was intriguing enough but now I have enough… Uninstalling the game from my pc is a happy moment right now!

Demolish & Build VR

Demolish & Build VR

Played on Oculus Rift seated.

Good fun game with some bugs here and there which I hope they will fix. It don’t take itself too seriously as you can probably see from the trailers. I have only just reached the second world so there are plenty of jobs to do including some unexpected ones like demolishing an old space shuttle. Most of the vehicles are fun to drive as it is full motion steering although the steering wheels axis can break making you turn in opposite direction. A quick turn back fixes it.

I did enjoy playing this game. However, this game isn’t for everyone. If you’re looking for a physics sandbox game, you will be disappointed. If you’re expecting a smooth & polished VR experience, you will be disappointed. This is a port of a non-VR game, Demolish & Build 2018. The good news is that it is a full-fledged game and not a demo. The bad news is that the VR interactions are quite basic & poor.
