Robo Maestro

Robo Maestro

Robo Maestro is a procedural music toy. It’s a revolutionary new way of creating and experiencing music! You tell it what you want, and then the Maestro automatically generates music that fits that. Playing Robo Maestro requires no music knowledge at all: just have fun and hear what happens! Guide the Maestro and create awesome music together with it!

Maestro Mode

Maestro Mode is the main attraction: a fun, relaxing experience where the music constantly evolves based on your choices. The Maestro generates random options that you can choose from to alter the music. Hear something you like? Store it as a chorus to come back to later, or save it for usage in the editors.

Loop Editor

Build your own loops and define details like instruments, layers, intensity and random seeds. Whatever you do, Robo Maestro makes sure it always fits with the rest of the music!

Song Editor

Combine your loops to create complete songs!

Export your creations

Share your music with friends, or open it in any other music software to continue editing there. What you create with Robo Maestro is yours to use in any way you like!

Optional deep tweaks

You can also dive deeper and define the chords and time signatures yourself. You don’t have to though: Robo Maestro can figure everything out itself, so you don’t need to know any music theory to use it. But if you want, you can get more detailed control.

Jam companion

Jam along to Robo Maestro on your favourite instrument or vocals! This automatic mode will let Robo Maestro endlessly evolve the music, fully automatically, as a backing for your own improvisation. Or enable the full features and just sit back and be surprised by what Robo Maestro can generate!

Advanced automatic composition

Robo Maestro is powered by an advanced procedural music generator. Dozens of algorithms work together to create each aspect of a song: drums, bass, melody, chords, rhythm, notes and much, much more. You can control each step individually, or just let Robo Maestro generate a complete loop and make tweaks from there.

Melody Flight

Melody Flight

This game, even in early access, is really great! Extremely relaxing, while still having a bit of difficulty to it. The art style is perfect for the vibe and I can’t wait to more functionality/modes/difficulties/(maybe keyboard controls)/whatever else to get added. Much needed change of pace when I’m stressed. Highly recommend!

Alekon

Alekon

This is a very simple game idea. You take photos of mostly happy, colorful creatures, solve some simple puzzles, play minigames. What makes Alekon very interesting is the memorable creature design, but it’s worth mentioning that, as you go further, it’s getting harder to memorise all of them.

It’s fairly easy to move forward in the game, you are not forced to finish everything (but some skills make your life easier, specially if you try to make every photo 10/10) I would say childfriendly, if we don’t count some of the minigames are kinda hard (But as far as I see, the devs are taking feedback and fixing those, so you can partly ignore this comment) and the situation with the Shrooma minigame, that felt a bit odd.

Intro

Alekon is a first-person photography game where you have to explore islands and take photos of the creatures living in them. Fictions, as what the game called them, are going to show up in the hub world afterward, giving you some tasks to finish.

It would be in my best interest to give a glowing review since I want to see this game completed but I need to be honest about the progress made so far. I do realise this game is considered Early Access and I know the budget for this game is pretty small, and you should keep that in mind too (if you end up reading the in-depth review linked below), but ultimately, is it something I would recommend to my friends or the gaming public in its current state? Considering the artwork still needs some touching up, bugs were encountered way too frequently, the UI needs fixing and the first chapter is way too short, probably not. I’m hoping that Adventure Mob will eventually prove me wrong though, as I really want this game to succeed.

Bolt Riley is a well-intentioned but uniformly misguided proof of concept.

Presumably the developers naively underestimated the effort required to achieve the level of quality best suited to their vision. Instead, they opted to release an embarrassingly short and painfully butchered appetizer.

One should be easily inclined to forgive unrefined details in Early Access but no update in over a year severely burdens the game’s credibility.

OK so. If you’re looking for a powerful sequencer, this is not the program your looking for, very few instruments, and a rather cluncky way of setting it up with all the extra pads and links you have to do. But if you just want a hella pretty looking and sounding game to just mess around with to show basic music stuff. I can no recommend this more, it is so beautiful and what little sounds are there are just amazing.

Maybe you are familiar with games like Audiosurf or Melody’s Escape. This is one of the games of that game genre. Don’t expect much from it at the moment, but it sure looks promising. The fact there is only 1 person working on this entire game, is mindblowing to me.

You control an airship with mouse and hover over the notes, while pressing the coresponding key each time. I like the gameplay, and the colorful graphics. The in-game gameplay is jittery, but it’s no issue for me. The game might have problems with placing notes when there is a lot of going on in the song. I get that, many games of this genre have that issue, if not all (It is actually impossible to create the perfect music analyzer that would work with any type of music).

RESPITE 2.0

RESPITE 2.0

RESPITE 2.0 is an interesting little game, although calling it that is a stretch. So, you start the game, and slowly cruise through the scenery that’s mostly it. The music is quite nice; visuals too. It’s enjoyable to explore and see where you end up.

If the aesthetic appeals to you then I’d say go for it. It’s very cheap and you’ll get plenty of mileage before you reach 2 hours in case you change your mind.

This game is nice. This game has a bunch of areas to look at which all have a beautiful aesthetic with very relaxing music to accompany it. Really recommend this game
