Deported: Drain the Swamp
It’s difficult for me to write an unbiased review, any games from Crankage Games are worth it just for the dialogues alone. Heck I’d play this just to read the cutscenes' lines. If you’ve played anything from Crankage Games before, you know what to expect. If you haven’t, what are you waiting for? They’re fun and they’re cheap.
This one is an arcade, old school gameplay. If you like a fun game without pretensions, just something fast and fun to play, give Deported a shot.

Today on my way home from work i stopped into a petrol station and snagged myself a chocolate bar for £1.15. I ate it in the car in just under 4 minutes, i enjoyed it. It probably did not do me any good but in the long term it wont have done me any harm.
When i got home i snagged a copy of Deported: Drain the swamp for 79p, i finished it in about half an hour. much better value than chocolate, and it was funny so it might of helped shed the choclate from my belly due to the light exercise of laughing.

Defective Holiday
Big fan of Kim Laughton’s stuff and Mechatok, I can not stop thinking about this world. Its nice to walk inside Kim’s work and experience the details and style up close. You’ll quickly fall in love with Mechatok’s music as it connects you to this world. Look forward to more from all involved.

Endurance Labyrinth
This game was made by the Devil.
Normal mode was made by Devil’s bully.
Seriously, I thought a maze game would fit in the puzzle category, but it’s like this is a soulsborne or something like that.
Started to play and died, died, died and died. Finally finished the damn thing, and FIVE HOURS HAVE PASSED WTF
The game is cheap, cute, simple to learn, easy (it actually is easy) but SEVERELY PUNISHING. If you don’t have photographic memory, you will know what I felt playing it.

Plastris
Simple, chill and pretty block shape puzzle game. Very polished and great head-scratching fun at later levels. All the logic will fall into place.

TatuBall: A Minimalist LoFi Puzzle
TatuBall is a cute and peaceful game.
It has a simples, but cool graphics.
Even if you are stuck in some level, it’s impossible being angry because of the calm and nice music.
I had a pleasant time playing this game and I’m in love with this tiny and roundy armadillo. 3

TatuBall was a great find.
If you ever played old school Pokémon, you will remember some GYM puzzles where you slide until you find your destination, the leader. Well, this game explores this concept very well here.
The difficulty progression is fluid, and with it’s relaxing lofi soundtrack, I actually played for hours in my first try, and didn’t even noticed the time passing.
I’m excited to see upgrades and more content in the future!

Simple puzzle game, sure, but it was fun and I did enjoy my playthrough. 50 levels is a tad bit short and I did accidentally restart a couple times, but overall not bad for a quick puzzle fix.

Maze Burrow
A good, retro-style puzzle game with some nice twists on the formula to make it worth playing. Block puzzles have been done before, but Maze Burrow has a nice selection of gimmicks and additions to make them feel new. Although the difficulty level is quite high later on, I rarely felt frustrated or incapable of solving the puzzle before me; the difficulty is mostly in figuring out a strategy for each level, and the addition of an undo button makes it far less tedious to get back to where you were. The soundtrack helps as well; it’s very upbeat and never feels repetitive, but it’s also background-y enough to let you focus on the puzzles. Unfortunately, the game is quite short; I took only about 6 hours to clear the campaign, though there are a few brutal bonus levels that open up once you defeat the final boss. Still, it’s definitely worth a play if you’re into puzzle games.

First off I am very happy to see this game come out. Sliding block puzzle games aren’t anything new but I feel this game adds enough to make it unique and worth the time to play it. When something like paired blocks or teleporters are introduced it’s clear there’s a lot of potential for difficult puzzles. This game takes advantage of it’s own gimmicks well, it doesn’t feel like any of them overstayed it’s welcome or wasn’t used enough. I didn’t know what to expect with any level really.
Around world 3 is where the puzzles started to get decently tough in my opinion. Most of the time my experience was just sitting back and thinking about exactly what problem I had to get past. And during those moments I found the game to be most enjoyable, especially when I ran into another problem with a creative solution right after. Then there’s a few levels where there’s so much going on you can’t really think about it, rather you just have to play around until you get somewhere. Those levels aren’t the best, they show up every now and then. But the majority of levels are the clever type, the level design is really great and the strong point of the game.

NUMTATE
december 2021 edit: the 2.0 update revamped the whole game, so I edited the review to reflect the changes.
numtate is a portmanteau of number and rotate, and sure enough, it’s about rotating numbers so they add up to the one in the middle, called a core. luckily, not much math skill is required, as the core keeps track of the current situation, no need to constantly count what’s around. the core number is the minimum, not the exact goal, though most of the time you won’t have the luxury of going over.

Phi
Even though Phi is claimed as a snake, I suppose this game can be called a minimal leech simulator. The core gameplay is to keep the leech on the path. The First 5 of 7 levels are relaxing, the last 2 want us to realize whether our mind and hands are young and responsive. I already knew mine are not.
Generally, it’s short, a little funny, challenging but not hard.

Im pretty surprised with this game. It has a calm gameplay, and its amazing how this game can be so simple and complex at the same time. I love the mechanics, at the first time, controlling Phi could be kinda hard but its a pretty easy-to-learn game so you are not going to get stuck every 5 seconds and that is great. I just love the art style, it really fits with the game ambient. Again, is simple but complex at the same time. It has some minor bugs but they are rare an not very annoying. I highly recomend this game if you have time to try it, it won’t take so long to beat the game.
