Hextones
Mentally stimulating yet relaxing game. It’s good! I was looking for a replacement for Ishido which I can no longer find for PC. Hextones retains the stone placing challenge that I love in Ishido but expands it. Each stone in Hextones has six instead of four sides. Learning new strategies after years of playing Ishido with only four sided stones is surprisingly fun. Hextones also has incremental challenges where you must get 6 sided, 5 sided, 4 sided, 3 sided and 2 sided correct placements to pass to the next tier. This is more difficult than just accumulating points. The music is hypnotically good. Well worth the price.

Futuristic Puzzle for a Good Price! This is similar to previous square grid “tile placing” games we’ve played, but this time it’s hexagons, and the scoring is a little different.
The music and visuals seem relaxing, just don’t get worried as you’re running out of space to place tiles!
(It would be cool to have more various play modes, including one that lets you remove some tokens from the board so you can play longer! Also, it’s nice to have multiple backgrounds and tile sets available, if possible.)

Sheng Tian (升天) - Episode 1
Really creative game for learning. Kinda feels a bit like Myst, very laid back and relaxing but also a productive way to spend some time learnign some new characters. I’ve been learning Chinese for a few months now and this game reflects that skill level, it is for beginners for sure. I do wish the puzzles were a bit more complicated and challenging but that might make it more stressful so it’s an interesting trade off. Overall the game and level design feels creative and unique. Worth the price for sure!

Pretty short, even for a first episode, and the game play was a little slow even for an educational game. Not bad, but hoping for more in the next releases. Perhaps incorporating mouse control. If you’re learning Chinese this can help break up the boring other stuff you’ll have to learn. Will update after/if episode 2 happens. Thanks for the learning game.

Npc Problems: Vertex Coloring
It may look simple, but can be very a challenging exercise for your brain. I’m excited for the new 3D stages update, they look even more tough.
The awesome music and graphics are very good too. Loved that synth and neon touch.

Frontier Pilot Simulator
I can’t. I want to but, I just can’t endorse this. This is sci-fi jet plane trucker simulator and it looks cool and I love the idea, but the execution is lacking. This isn’t some honorably realistic aero simulator so don’t expect that from it. Actually, don’t expect anything at all from it other than a challenge and cost effective entertainment.
This is a Unity game with Unity problems. Sometimes the game will hitch when other aircraft fly by or it updates the weather. Early it just completely flips out. Depending on your situation, you either have to re-trim or it kicks and spins out the bottom of your aircraft in a unnatural way. Having played KSP for thousands of hours and using planes in that game: I can see the frayed edges left by Unity in this one. What has been built so far is an accomplishment, but it will forever be held back by this. It needs to look better than it does, play better than it does, consume fewer system resources than it does, and hold fewer frustrations to compete with other games or even other sims. It has performance issues that might prevent them from ever implementing VR or increasing world detail.

I absolutely love this game and fully recommend it to people who know what early access is and are willing to look past some bugs/systems that haven’t yet been added.
Pros:
-Stable. (I’ve only encountered one crash in this game and it only happened because of a series of unique incidents that I caused.)
-Easy to learn flight mechanics that are still challenging at times and will punish you if you ever get too cocky.
-Weather events that will break the monotony of flying straight and force you to change the style of your flight. (In some situations, you’d be best just to land and let the weather pass by itself since most events force you to fly low and low altitude, clouds and mountain ranges just don’t mix.)

Maze Workout - Lost Urban Exit Game - Trials1
It’s a maze game with progressive difficulty levels, that starts from very easy to more complex.
At the start of the game it has one key for the exit door of that level and go to the next level.
As you progress from level to level you have to find more keys to get out of that level.
There are a total of 12 color coded keys that you have to pick up, very easy levels start with one key.
Easy levels are less time consuming, the more keys to find in a level the more time it takes to finish.
The Rodinia Project
Im not sure about this one. Ive completed levels 1-40 so far. For me at least 95% of the puzzle were kinda easy with about 2 or so of them where it took me a little longer ( I did not realize that I could position myself at a better angle to complete the puzzle). Sooo, first and formost Im gonna give the game a 6/10 ( remember, only 40 lvls completed so the later levels could be harder), I think the price is fine with the amount of time you get to play. I was expecting the higher level I went up, the harder it would be, but I didnt feel as challenged in the higher levels. The game feels like its almost there, almost like something is missing. I dont want to sound like I am hating on the game, the concept is solid, the price is fine, but from just my personal perspective, more could be built upon the game from where it is now. I did put a “yes” check on recommend, but like I said, 6/10. But seriously, $6 ( I got it while it was 10% off ), not a bad price for how long Ive been playing ( and it looks like when you leave the game on at the main menu and being alt tabbed it still records your gametime, cause I know I didnt play this for 9 hours ).

I did not have a great first impression of this game. I started it up, immediately checked for key rebindings in the Options menus and found none. Started the game and couldn’t figure out how to move forward. But I could move left. So….the game doesn’t account for non-QWERTY keyboards and there is no key rebinding. I immediately quit and checked the forums.
Controllers are supported so I tried that. Y-axis control was unwieldy for me, and I initially couldn’t figure out how to move the 1st cube I came across. I saw no tutorial support for the basics - how to move, how to pick up a cube, how to jump, etc. After mashing every button on my X-box controller I eventually discovered that right bumper moves cubes. A rather unexpected choice. I was able to complete the 1st level but the Y-axis control was giving my so much trouble that I gave up on using a controller. That’s probably nothing to do with this game but has more to do with me not using a controller in years and being badly out of practice.

Twilight Town: A Cyberpunk Day In Life
It definitely ends way too early, it feels like the story just cuts off before it can get into the nitty-gritty. But in terms of worldbuilding and presentation, Sigyaad Team has definitely laid the groundwork for something potentially outstanding. I’m really proud to see them strive for this level of polish considering before this they were making meme games with stock Ren’Py assets; not that there’s anything wrong with that good fun of course, but something like this is a lot more immersive. I’d love to see this as a full game, or at least an episodic series. Aside from that, all I have is minor grammar nitpicks. Nice job!

TL;DL:
- Linear Visual Novel (single “ending”), w/ beautiful art, story is incomplete (I would say 20% of a full plot), but interesting enough to give it a shot.
PROS:
-
Visual style is stunning & beautiful. This is the strongest point, anime + pixel art = perfection :)
-
Character design is good enough, they have their own personality, girls seems to have and intriguing back story. MC looks little generic though.
-
World design is so cool, makes u want to explore the whole city and even more

Aquarelle
Really unpleasant gaming experience. Incorrect/buggy settings, and even when these were finally fixed by lots of fiddling baout, the game is still virtually unplayable due to the unskippable tutorial, which is just awful. Definitely do not recommend. Dreadful.

7 out of 10 user reviews.. purchased reviews mind you.. gave this game a positive review.
- sniff * * sniff *
..Something smells really fishy and really foul here.
This game is mediocre at best, but with all the bugs and broken controls, I’d give this game a 3 out 10 .. IF it was $5 USD.
…It’s NOT $5 or under however, and instead this developer has priced this POS at a ridiculous $60 USD price tag!

Hey dev.. you could price this game at “$69 million USD”, but that wouldn’t make it a better game or worth more. - JS.
