Motherland
In this game, I liked that there is an open world as well as an interesting story.
A lot of sadness in the game is added at home - panels, which are all the same type and make you think about a lot …

A game that brings up burning topics. It is both soulful and sad, atmospheric. It’s cool that there are in-game achievements. I would also like to point out a minus: the game has problems with optimization. My computer can barely handle it.

Ship Simulator Extremes
Can’t play the game for two reasons.
After intallation i must enter the serials for every single DLC, the problem is i can’t simply copy and paste the serials, and i can’t read what serial is needed. It can take up to 30 minutes, until i have entered all serials in the right order.
The 2nd reason is that the game is bugged like hell.
After this game was released it worked fine for me on an quit old computer at first. A short time later i also got a new pc and here the trouble began. For unknown reason all maps with ports are so buggy that the water is flickering with 80meter high waves, catapulting and bouncing my ship all over the map and after a few seconds the game crashes.

On paper this game looks very promising but as the saying goes ‘never judge a book by its cover’ … For starters the amount of hard drive memory the game uses up is enormous! Though Ship Simulator Extremes ran smoothly with no frame-rate issues the amount of memory used caused significant problems for me elsewhere on my PC. I also found the gameplay to be quite fractionated in terms of continuity mostly due to having to change terrains all the time in free roam (or Sandbox) mode.
There are only two terrains which allow realistic free roam experiences to the player. These are Bora Bora around which attention to detail is essential when selecting larger ships and the English Channel which allows Dover to Calais (and Isle of Wight) ferry crossings. So many of the others allow the player to navigate their way out of one of several huge real world ports … Before having to change terrains which can only be done manually involving the rather disruptive selection process. The appearance of many of the ships also tends to be quite ‘cartoony’ rather than photo-realistic especially when viewed internally from the Bridge. There are some good points which mostly relate to the phenominal level of detail featured within each terrain. Also the DLC Content available through Steam greatly enhances the game in a number of ways: Especially the Ferries pack which was my favourite DLC download. Ship Simulator Extremes also features a built-in Mission Editor facility but it is strongly advised to read up on how to use this before attempting to do so.

Alaskan Truck Simulator
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1149620/Gas_Station_Simulator/
Get behind the wheel of a mighty truck and jump into the boots of the Alaskan truckers, challenge and be challenged by one of the harshest and dangerous environments.
Alaskan Truck Simulator is a unique game that blends the well-known simulators’ classics with the ruthless environment of Alaska and elements of survival. Buckle up, we are about to set off for the proper adventure!
What comes to your mind when you think of Alaska? Endless wastelands, towering peaks, harsh winters, and sunny spring-like meadows. Alaska is a unique place to explore. How to do it better than driving a truck across the entire state? Experience changing weather, vehicles’ behavior on snow, cross the uneven roads, and find out how is your truck’s condition affected by harsh climate or the driver itself –this is just to name a few elements of the game.
It would be a dreamy world if you could carelessly drive around Alaska, but let’s be real, you need these bucks to fuel your truck and feed yourself, ain’t you?
Let’s start with a few cargoes. In order not to take the fun out of driving, while progressing in the game you will gain access not only to the better trucks or equipment but also to the more challenging missions. Anyway, no matter the prestige of your mission, always drive with cautious as you may lose your cargo, damage your truck and finally, end up with debt instead of earning.
You are here for a bit of adrenaline too, right?
We want to show by our game the bond between man and the machine, what shows it better than exploring the basic needs of both? You will need to pay attention to the stats management as well for yourself as for your vehicle. Hungry, tired, out of fuel or with a broken tire - take care of all the difficulties you can encounter on the road!
Among many features:
-
Dynamic weather system with Day/Night cycle
-
Vast interactive environment to explore
-
A dynamic economy based on jobs, ranks, and performance
-
Survival system
-
Useful knowledge to gain and mysteries to discover
-
Crafting, upgrading, repairing
-
Multiple roads, routes, and wastelands to conquer in your truck

January 24th Update:
So I’ll leave the original review I did back in October up. I had 40 hours played in the game and because of the bugs I had moved on.
The developer uploaded a new patch and I’m in the middle of school but I quickly checked my biggest gripes about this game, and they appear to be fixed. I found the AI was sapping away my demand and hurting my profits. The market is changed and its much easier to cap demand. It’s much harder to turn a profit in the beginning. The demand for your goods completely changes when you start messing around with prices.

First off for context I played a LOT of capitalism and capitalism2 a LOT… I like the genre, not many do lol. So I’m happy another corporate economic sim has popped up, I have seen reviews comparing it to Capitalism2 but sadly calling it another business sim is about as close of a comparison you might muster. This will be a long review so apologies now.
I like the game so far but it has a few problems, some critical, a few glaring issues and many smaller problems that are managable I guess… I will go over the problems I find with the game in hopes of the development will continue and flesh this game out, although being in full release mode makes me worry… a lot. Maybe they should have hired me to look over their game before release? Can’t just be me… I will use Capitalism as examples and sorry if that gets repetitive.

Junkyard Simulator
I would like to start off by saying this game is very addicting at the same time it’s aslso game breaking, we desperatly need some hotfixes and alot of major udates. i understand that it’s early access and there’s gonna be bugs but there’s no excuse for not having hotfixes right away so we can at least keep playing without all these game screen freezings. All i ask from the dev team is please don’t give up on this game cause it’s the first game i ever played that got me instantly hooked, but now with the constant screen freezing to the point i have to manually shut down the game and now i refuse to play the game until the game screen freezing gets fixed.

The first word that comes to mind when considering the current state of the game is “Rough”. Exceedingly rough.
The map is a haphazard tangled array of zones that make no sense. There is nothing about the map that makes it feel like you’re in an actual place, instead there’s just a random array of facilities and junk heaps (many many junk heaps) with decoration decisions that are clearly inspired by the philosophy"what can we put here to have variety" rather than “what can we do here that makes sense?” For example, you’ll have a chain link fence start out one panel high, then it’ll jump to two on the next panel, down to one again, get metal cladding and be three sections tall on the next, etc. Nobody builds a fence like that.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance
it’s a review so i have to say that this game is MAGIC (no magic involved in the actual game). If you’re a geek who loves medieval history, then just buy it already! it’s just 10$ on sale right now which feels criminally cheap for what you’re getting. you’re going to get tons of hours and an incredible amount of options to choose from in terms of skills, combat and play style which ultimately allows your Henry be exactly who you want him to be. The combat is challenging, and even though my coordination and rhythm is poor in life and all video games i’ve played, there are ways around this (in most cases), as you have many ways to resolve issues. I play a charismatic yet weaselly man who can talk or run his way out of anything. i can handle a sword if it comes to it, but i’d rather not. what i’m getting at is that you shouldn’t be intimidated by some reviews that rightfully point out how challenging some scenarios can be. get creative! the game allows for that.

As a game, it’s very difficult in the early parts. Food and money are really hard to come by, though there are some “public food pots” if there’s no choice. You are weak and getting ambushed is hell, especially when you haven’t saved recently. Speaking of saving, you have to CRAFT a potion to save, or find a comfy bed. Fighting more than 2 enemies is an automatic fail, more so if they are armored. Though to be fair, anyone would struggle to fight 2 people in real life.
Yet, once you have top level armor and weapons, this game is one of the best “knight simulators” of all time imo. Get some potions that fortify your defense and raise your warfare/strength skill and you’re a killing machine. Then there’s also the fact that money and food become pointless because you’ll be filthy rich (even without ‘that’ DLC) and you’ll get hungry a lot slower. I absolutely love the combat system. Even if many people aren’t fond of it, i don’t think there are other games that can capture the essence of medieval fencing. This game got me interested in HEMA. Anyone who says the combat is “trash”, is actually trash at understanding the combat mechanics themselves.

Police Simulator: Patrol Officers
It may be a bit buggy here and there, But it’s seriously impressive for a small studio in early access. It is also really fun to role play about. Here is a bit of unexpected fun from today … I delayed shooting a taser on a fleeing suspect only to have a random drunk driver swerve towards us and take him out causing a three car pileup that I had to investigate and clear up while being indirectly the cause of the crash. Do I take the suspect into custody or call him an ambulance? choices, am I right?

Pros
It’s a great Sim with great potential, I’m sure it’s going to be one of the best police sims on steam when leaves the early access, I have to say they have a great taste in designing the city, districts vary from each other and have different scenery. It reminds me of my favorite city Boston! Traffic missions are enjoyable and their variety keeps you busy and satisfied during your shift. The graphic is really great in this game, you going to take too many screenshots while playing. Parks are very green along with eye-catching sculptures and decorations throughout the city. Different Police stations that you could spawn from or finish your report when done. Nice Game setting and support of the controller and other languages. It has an Informative manual and tutorials to guide you. You could report the bugs and suggest your ideas there are warm and attentive developers valuing your time and request.

Recall
Check out my Steam Curator for short snappy reviews here:
https://store.steampowered.com/curator/40294200-Glitz-and-Gaming-Couple/
Has all the makings of a really bad 80s action movie flick:
Graphics: 5/10 - Although creates a realistic environment it isn’t the prettiest looking game and kind of reminds me of the getaway from the ps2 era if it was set in the eastern bloc. Had a few clipping issues and my character had his arm wrapped around him after one of the fights. For a game to pride on melee needs things like blood/bruising to make it look authentic.

Starsand
BEFORE you rage quit - please read.
I have put some time in on the game and have to say that it would be an excellent addition to an anger management course. The dynamic with the bugs is very frustrating and it can seem like the developer is trying to troll you. It begins to feel like a “groundhog day” endless restart of your life to do things exactly right. More of a puzzle that you only get to figure out the next piece by dying. Over and over and…..over. For those who go in thinking it will be a sandy and hot version of The Long Dark there will be angst at first.

The game has potential, that’s why I kept playing, but there are way too many things wrong with it as it is right now.
It crashes Firefox. Every single time. I literally cannot have Firefox open at the same time as Starsand.
The centipedes are the most annoying mobs I’ve seen in any game, and they completely ruin it for me. No matter how many of them I kill they are always back the next day. I can’t even find myself on the map most times, how can THEY find me again THAT fast?
Their bodies also despawn very fast, so you can easily find yourself with no loot at the end of a tough fight. The bodies despawn on load too, so if you killed 3 of them, saved and then got killed by the last one you’ll notice the ones you killed disappeared.

The Endless Summer - Search For Surf
The waves are nice, the surfer can surf. I recommend buying this game. Although in early release, it is playable and updates flow very often.
As you look into the face of a clean glassy wave, you can carve it up.
The Surfer is smooth and fluid while surfing. you can carve, do cutbacks and generally surf on a wave.
I hope other people support this game as the developer clearly surfs and can translate this into a surfing game.
Personally i was not initially impressed in the idea of travelling and searching for spots, but the implementation of this principle is really good. You can find all sorts of varied waves on the world map.

Desperate for a new surfing game , It pains me to type it as I am willing to overlook pretty much everything , but the surfing aspect of the game is awful it has no redeeming qualities . Hopefully they continue to improve the game its a great concept but its really far away from being playable.
