Hijacker Jack : ARCADE FMV

Hijacker Jack : ARCADE FMV

An interesting take on the FMV genre, instead of point n' click type FMV games. (it is still)

It is a pretty decent enough game, but could be better.

Edit : They’ve lowered the price, so in this state, I recommend it.

(This is not a VR game, whoever did tagged that is a dummy.)

My analysis (serious one) :

Controls are confusing, I prefer this control scheme on mobile, but not here.

Pretty impressive for such a low budget project. (atleast better than Stay Dead lol)

But a small nitpick when it comes to the fighting system, the combat system is fine if its actually video game graphics but no, this is a film. The thing is, to progress in the fight scene (I’m talking about the guy in Jasmine’s house), you have to do a specific action, which makes the fight frustrating (especially if you have no hints enabled) because it’s repeating the same thing if you fail to do that specific action.

I can absolutely recommend this game, a couple of hours of fun for 5 EUR. I played with the Android version earlier, but it’s a much better experience on PC. (improved video quality and controls)

The gameplay is smooth and the action scenes are amazing :)

Gord

Gord

Lead the people of the Tribe of the Dawn as they venture deep into forbidden lands. Complete quests that shape their personalities, impact their wellbeing, and decide the fate of their community. Ensure the survival of your populace in a grim fantasy world inspired by Slavic folklore.

Erect palisades, develop structures, and grow your gord from a humble settlement to a formidable fortress. However, expansion won’t be easy! Your population is constantly at risk from enemy tribes, gruesome monsters, and mysterious powers that lurk in the surrounding woods.

Venture outside the walls of your settlement with Gord’s AI-driven quest system, ensuring a huge variety of challenges to take on. The Scenario’s main objectives will guide your gameplay, while versatile side quests and random encounters will send you off into the wilderness to hunt down legendary creatures, uncover secrets about the Ancients, or vanquish a nasty scourge. Expect the unexpected.

Set the stage by choosing from a wide range of Scenario options, and try to emerge victorious. Take it easy or set an impossible challenge; almost anything can be adjusted! Choose from a variety of primary objectives, select the level size, the intensity of raids, the environment you’ll play in, the types of enemies you’ll face, starting resources, and even the severity of weather. Of course, don’t forget the Horrors.

A healthy populace is the key to survival in Gord. Every aspect of your settlers’ lives - from illness and hunger to the death of their kin - can impact each subject’s Sanity and Burden levels. Keep a close eye on them, as once they reach a critical point your subject will suffer from a breakdown or even flee your rule.

Please the Gods with your prayers and they may give you access to their spellcasting abilities. Incantations vary in nature - some are offensive while others are defensive - but they all help to tip the battlefield in your favor. Conceal areas from your enemies, gain control over threatening beasts, or turn an unholy rage against all who dare to oppose you.

The Chronicle explains the history of the Gord universe that blends real-world Slavic mythology with dark fantasy. Pages torn from The Chronicle will be scattered throughout the game’s landscapes, giving dedicated players an additional challenge of discovery. Collecting as many pages as possible will provide insight into the origins of the Gods, ancient factions, and the mystical Whisperers.

Platform puzzleish with metroidvania progression and rpg grind. Content is solid, fun graphics, music, art and humor are charming, retro throwback. Controls are awkward and structure of the game is too grindy for me but it is amusing to do even simple things because of physics and overall craziness. it is also annoying to do simple things because of physics and craziness. This is that kind of game. It has too much going on; it’s sometimes hard to get to the part you like. Plenty of bugs which have been fixed quickly thus far. B-

What’s Left

What’s Left

This is… a surprisingly impressive feat for one guy. After the halfway-point, Landon (the protagonist) has many physical changes, hair cut, clothes change, injuries, a completely new type of primary weapon, at one point getting straight up covered in blood… and I appreciate that the dev took the time to show all this in the pixel art. There’s WAY too much detail in the smaller areas here, for a game that’s been out for this long and received on the verge of literally no attention.

I have so many thoughts floating in my head about this game now that I’ve completed it, what made the story so baffling and what made the gameplay so… everywhere but here’s what I can really grasp:

The Tower

The Tower

You’ve never had a day quite like this before…

It’s your first day as a security guard for one of the most secure buildings in the city. But your first day becomes your worst day when an explosion rocks the building, blocking stairwells and disabling elevators. It’s now up to you and the remaining guards that are still alive to push back and find out who’s behind all of this.

The Tower is an action-packed first-person shooter created by a single developer. It mixes tense combat, challenging puzzles, and a constantly unfolding story.

Features:

  • High-octane gunplay against a brutal and relentless paramilitary – only you stand in their way.

  • Fight, sneak, and defend yourself in a nail-biting struggle for survival.

  • Orient around crumbling, hand-crafted environments. Move through vents, take your enemies by surprise, and use any advantage you can find.

  • Story-rich action gameplay that reveals an intriguing conspiracy at the heart of the attack.

  • Join forces with an interesting cast of allies and resist the attack alongside them. Work together and you might just stand a chance.

One Shell Straight to Hell

One Shell Straight to Hell

(Review was updated on Dec 2021) I’ve spent many hours alpha-testing this game and decided to buy it on release day. Here are my thoughts so far, a list of positive and negative elements:

The good stuff:

  • Uniquely witty main character.

  • Good variety of unlockable skills and lootable guns, be it primaries or secondaries.

  • The setting: a terribly haunted mansion property set in the 1910’s - 1920’s.

  • The Padre’s voice actor probably smoked 10 cigars and drank too much whiskey. Fantastic.

One Shell Straight to Hell

There’s a brand-new Roguelike indie title on the streets; One Shell Straight to Hell. One Shell Straight to Hell lets the player experience the best of two worlds with its well-put-together Roguelike dungeon-crawling gameplay with a touch of base defense elements mixed in.

At first glance, the game seems to be simple enough with its Procedural Generation World. But as you cross the first stage after finishing a base defense wave, the game becomes something much more.

## Giants: Citizen Kabuto

When I was but a wee lad… I played this game on PlayStation 2\. Here we are, many years later, though, and it has finally returned to me on Steam, in the format of the original PC edition, which I have been wanting for a while. And, well, put simply... It's exactly as good as I remember. There's some significant differences, if you played it on PS2 as well, but it's still one of my all time favorite games for a reason.

The differences from PS2 are miniscule, as the blood is red instead of green, a few cutscenes were lost while new ones appeared, and you can decide at what pace to build your base (as well as control it's turrets), among a few other things. As a whole, the game is the same, but with more added on.

Before I begin, I must tell you that I’ve spent +200 hours on the multiplayer of this game , there’s nothing wrong with the "giants fan page" Giantswd.org, where you can download the 1.497 patch and several mods to be able to get into the multiplayer and improve the game experience.

We have a 24/7 Very stable server right now. also, join GiantsWD steam group, everytime theres an event we launch a hard to miss popup and announcement to reach the best amount of players!

Now grab your bag of chips with ketchup and get a good dictionary because I write like pure shit.

### Experienced on Windows Mixed Reality

You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/mxqGUDZ-mTY

There are now 3 bocce games for VR. Bocce VR Simulator is the newest edition. While I haven't played the others, I can recommend this one. It's solid all around. You can play single player against AI on easy, normal, or hard difficulty or you can play local multiplayer (pass the VR headset around for 2 players).

You have full locomotion available with snap turning. The physics seemed fine to me. The throwing physics and the ball collision physics all seemed realistic. I did not experience any issues playing this game. The game ran fine on my 1060 GTX at a steady 90 frames per second. It's running on the Unity Engine.

## Skeletal Dance Party

This masterpiece has the single-most terrifying spell in any game I have ever played.

You and your friends take up arms against the sudden, new menace that has already exterminated half of your village. A necromancer - **a single necromancer** - has seized the ample supply of your ancestors in the catacombs and raised an army of abominations. Your squad takes patrol in the hall of chieftans, where your chief, and his chief before him, and his chief before him, they all rest, having lived valiant lives. The rhythmic rattling of the wretched rawboned ruffians relates your irresistable restless repose. The undead army clatters around the corner and without hesitation or coordination, impales your only companion upon dozens of spears and swords, each stolen from what were once your countrymen.

## Vaporum

I've just finished the game at 15 hours, and it was an enjoyable experience (mostly) throughout! I have a few gripes, but let's start with a list of Pro's and Con's and go into more detail a little later.

**PROS:**

*   Dungeon crawling is fun!

*   Nice enemy variety!

* Difficulty is mostly fine, with hiccups.

* Price-to-playtime ratio is pretty good.

* Definitely replayable! Especially for secrets.

* Three unique 'classes' that are very distinct.

**CONS:**

*   Some riddles are a little obtuse…

*– [Real player with 38.7 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197980179343)*

**TL:DR** - If you are looking for another dungeon Crawler of the Dungeon Master Variety, then I can recommend this product without hesitation. If you are wondering what separates this title from the rest of the options that are on the market now, then you will want to read a little further.

Bottom line, I can definitely recommend this title, as I have enjoyed the 6+ hours I have been entertained by, by the time of this review. I may have more to add to this review, when I finally complete the game. This review is entirely based around a 6 hour preview of the game title, and I am not sure how much longer I have to complete the game.
