CrashMetal - Cyberpunk

CrashMetal - Cyberpunk

I’ll talk about the pros and cons of this game to let you, the reader, know more about the game, at the end I’ll give my opinion on the game in it’s current state and let you decide whether it’s worth it or not.

-PROS-

The game is very well optimised for both my laptop and my PC and run well on both systems.

There’s a lot of customisation for the different vehicles that are currently in the game

The map is a decent size, it’s not huge and it’s not small

You’re able to teleport to the different races/bosses without having to spend any credit (aka in-game currency)

The game is really great although there are a lot of bugs, sometimes when I am in the performance upgrade page I go to press escape, but it doesn’t work and I have to close the game then reopen it for it to work. As well as when you enter drift area, you cannot go onto other events even after the timer for drift mode runs out, so you would have to go back to garage then back into the map to be able to access the other races, and the problem of “Name too short” while trying to access multiplayer, you can’t actually change your name so that kinda sucked. The graphics are really great, gameplay is a little confusing at first, but then you learn them quickly and the races are good but repetative.

The Last Element: Looking For Tomorrow

The Last Element: Looking For Tomorrow - Atmospheric cyberpunk arcade racing game!

This game is very interesting. As i like a sci-fi and stuff I can say with confidence that the game strongly reminds me of the VHS era. Сulture of the 80’s, ‘‘Knight Rider’’, “The Fifth Element” kinda “Back to the Future”. It is a new world in the arcade racing genre. Get behind the wheel of a flying car of the future and participate in dizzying races, where you can overtake the cars not only on the side but also from below or above. Graphics are good, and concept is simple and pure. it’s good time travel in expectation of Cyberpunk 2077

For what it is, it’s good fun.

A really laid back, non competitive, time passing game. Graphics are phenomenal for the price too! Love the fact there is a global leaderboard.

I do enjoy the added ‘scenes’ option, I feel it adds a bit more depth but annoyed at the same time you can only look and not interact.

It would also be a good idea to have more than just the standard level on the game, maybe a couple to choose from?

6.5/10 overall

Great old game. Happy to be able to play it again. Stumbled upon it just by accident and just had to give it a try after all these years and it’s still great. Sadly it also has all those old quirks. Sometimes it crashes which is especially sad considering how championships work (you can’t save the game during championship season). Also almost every single race it glitches once. Usually that means you end up falling off the road. Not sure why it’s happening but at least it happens to bot cars too so everyone his hit by it somehow. Even with these issues it’s still a great game I would recommend.

Absolutely amazing game.

-Ok graphics

-Good music

-Good sound

-Good controls

-Polished and thought-out gameplay:

-The speed is pleasant, but not too fast for the sharp turns you have to make

-The power-ups, while not too easy to understand at first, provide strong but not overpowered buffs and weapons

-The maps are interesting, fun, and beautiful (Except for the hardest one that is meant to be stressful and hard)

-The mashup of shooting and driving genres work perfectly and complements one another (To be better than your opponents you can either be faster, or deadlier than them)

Notice how the trailer is barely 20 seconds long, and of that you see a few seconds of a car “drifting” on the track?

Don’t be fooled, this game is no better than the free mobile car games you can download on your phone, and probably plays worse.

I sacrificed an hour of my time to get all the achievements, but bear in mind this game has “Profile Features Limited”, so these won’t count against your epeen tally on steam anyway.

The price is a joke, fortunately I got this in a bundle.

TRON RUN/r

TRON RUN/r

A very fun game to play, right off the bat. Though, it may look like just another endless runner, it’s really more than that. It’s more like an action/runner with a finish line.

The graphics are gorgeous… that part is obvious. The music is pretty awesome as well. I highly recommend that you play this game with a good surround sound system.

The levels start out fairly simple and at boot, it teaches you how to use certain basic moves, to help you maneuver around the obstacles. As you progress to each new level, things get more challenging, but it’s nothing you can’t possibly master. The controls are very sharp, so if you goof up, you’ll know it was your fault and not the game itself (unless you experience a glitch, which I will discuss later in this review).

I avoided writing a review for TRON RUN/r for quite a while because I couldn’t answer one basic question: “Do you recommend this game?”

The truth is, I’m not sure. If we’re talking about going back in time and talking to myself when it first came out, then yes, I would absolutely recommend the game to myself. If I’m talking to any die-hard TRON fans, or fans of speedruns or other runner games, then yes, I would recommend it. But I still have the free giftable copy of the game I bought with the Deluxe Edition, and I haven’t tried to gift it to any of my friends. The niche of this game is very small, and it was tainted on release with the smell of “microtransactions” and is tainted now by lack of support. The short version is that this game is an enjoyable but deeply flawed mess.

UPDATED Review 4/10/2021: Wow! This is a ton of fun. I had some prior grievances with some of the choices made with gameplay that were making the game very hard to enjoy for me. I voiced my concerns in my review, and the devs (small, indie dev team) responded very quickly to address some of those concerns. The devs are very receptive to feedback and appreciate hearing from their community, and it seems like they care about their product after seeing the most recent updates.

The gameplay is a lot of fun! It’s a bit of a combo of Crazy Taxi, Quarantine, and Carmageddon with slight influences from other media as well. If you’ve played Quarantine, you’ll notice the inspiration, but trust me, the devs are working hard to make this their own game! You will find yourself driving around a crazy, chaotic, and relatively apocalyptic city with bad guys and pedestrians on the road, turrets, other cabs/vehicles, and more. You are picking up fares, some of which need to go somewhere, others want you to kill someone or blow up a vehicle, and others want you to blow up a building (similar to dropping someone off at a destination, except with more explosions!). There may be more fare types in later districts that I haven’t gotten to yet, but I am satisfied with the fare types that are already in the game.

Cool indie game! Some stuff heavily resembles Quarantine or Road Warrior, but there are some major differences. Even despite the fact that the game has some bugs, the devs update it all time - a lot of stuff was fixed in recent patches.

Pros and cons below.

PROS:

  • positive vibe;

  • unique atmosphere somewhat reminds the old Quarantine classic;

  • nice effects and gore system;

  • excellent music!

  • driving model is not that bad at all,

  • cool weapons!

CONS:

  • some missions look bland and could be a bit better;

Cyber Escape

Cyber Escape

Having played this game, I’m left with a lot of feelings.

Graphics/UI

It is obvious looking at the style that there is an attempt to emulate the cyberpunk style. I use attempt purposefully, as because of the lack of enviornment or detailing it is hard to use the world style when talking about this game. The 3 towers that you pass are bland, and reppetitive within seconds. The cars aren’t detailed, and are boring to look at. To be honest, even the VRC effects are bothersome to me. I’d say remove it, but its cool and could have a use. Maybe when being hit or something, but as is, its severely tiresome.
