ThreatGEN: Red vs. Blue

ThreatGEN: Red vs. Blue

It’s a genuine work of passion presenting the cybersecurity world and profession in a gamified way. It can be used as a training tool for sure, but it’s even more than that. Personally, I think it’s a great strategy game. It’s an experience allowing you to hone the intelligent strategy of the always target prioritizing mind. The graphics and music is gorgeous. The mechanics and features sometimes contain a few bugs, but the developers of the game are generally responsive to bug reports over Discord. Your opinions and ideas can shape the game as well, as you can request a feature too.

I have over 20+ years in the IT field and 15+ years in Information Security or Cyber Security. Experience from desktop support, server support, setting up networks, configuring firewalls and hours upon hours of standing on server room floors when a configuration change went sideways. Now I work in Risk Management and Governance Risk Compliance implementing the NIST RMF and now CSF. I have also worked as an IT Auditor and Security Controls Assessor.

I haven’t read too many of the comments but I would understand if reviewers first impressions of the game as “overly simplistic” or “not reality”. And I cannot argue the first point but I would not discount the game as learning tool. What this game provides, at it’s essence, and captures is the constant challenge or struggle the IT industry faces on a day to day basis. IE patch management; social engineering; SDLC; etc.

Wasn’t expecting such good stuff as small indie game. This product has so much potential, I do hope devs are planning some advertisement for it and they will add more features in the near future!

Hello, I’m writing a review for this game since I feel like it is in need of good reviews, and no, I haven’t played for 31 minutes in total, I am a alpha and beta tester, who wants to give this game a good name.

Firstly, I’ll be going over 4 things and rating them, Difficulty, Availability, Replayability and Community, these 4 things make a game good, so of course, first of all

Difficulty:

The game is overwhelming in the first couple of games, getting used to it would be hard if there isn’t an experienced player who is willing to help, I’d say it take around 6 games to actually learn most things going on, and to get a feel for the roles, as you’d most likely get an Agent, a Hacking Netsec, Neutral and so on, however strategy is hard, its social deduction and meaning that the game will definettly rely on your social ability to lie, and make up a good claim which would be hard for the first games, and could still even be harder games onwards, strategies form in your mind, they work and they don’t, overall

Untrusted is a Social Deduction game with a hacking theme. The Social Deduction genre has seen a recent resurgence with the success of Among Us. In this game, a hacking group called NETSEC is meeting in an online chat room to coordinate their hack progress through a number of computers and servers in order to hack one specific target node that will win them the game. Every group, however, has been infiltrated by two agents, and a number of independent operators known as Neutrals.

The premise of this game is fantastic, and the lone developer has done some of its implementation well. NETSEC has a variety of skills to verify its own people. The Agents have some ways of blending in with the NETSEC operatives. The fun of the game is not found in the hacking (as there is nothing even closely resembling real hacking), but rather in the fact that you’re actively playing against the minds of the other players as you prove people true or false, or if you’re an agent, you’ll quite possibly find your thrill in lying your way to victory with hastily formed arguments as you place the blame on others. You have to be quick, since there’s not much time before NETSEC has to decide which member of the chat must be sent to their death, and your arguments must be good and to the point.

Remember the old days playing on your Digimon at school, well this game reminds me of that.. but on my PC playing over the net with friends. I have it on in the background as I’m working or playing other games. I’m really enjoying it and look forward to updates the Dev’s are working on.

Simple, yet requires a lot of strategy to set up character builds. Fun to play and break. Remember O' Developer, the Beta Champion will one day beat you.

Also, I would recommend buying 11/10.

CYPEST Underground

CYPEST Underground

I knew CYPEST in its early phase when it was still a freeware version and I can point out that it is a very addictive game despite not directly facing your rivals. I am very happy that the game has reached Steam, since then the game has many more maps.

It is a vertical scrolling game in which you must achieve the maximum possible score by obtaining files and folders that will increase your score. Never forget the score multipliers, they are essential!

Graphically it is a simple and fluid game in 2D, I think it is just what you need because its simplicity makes it shine.

Real player with 14.3 hrs in game

Pretty nice little game. Maybe a 8/10 personally.

It’s is simple. The Screen moves from top to bottom and you move by pressing/holding left or right, trying to dodge obstacles and gather multiple different floating items that give you extra points or point multipliers. The Difficulty can range from relatively easy to levels where you are forced to memorize the different sections because it is impossible to first-try these parts except you are a clairvoyant.

Nontheless it still gets kind of addictive and does not really make you tired of the game. Espeacially when you want to be the number one score for the level. I also played Geometry Dash before which didnt hook me in like this game did because that game really was a game of memorizing.

Seekers

Seekers

Welcome

Seekers is a multiplayer survival horror game where any moment could be your last. You take the role of a Seeker, a unit sent in before anyone else with a focus on reconnaissance missions. An Insect-like alien species has been spotted in a smaller farmland community surrounded by dense forest and wheat fields. The local population has perished due to the infestation. While the area has been closed off from the rest of the world there are tasks that need to be completed within the boundaries to contain the spread and save lives; though many will be lost in the process.

What Can You Expect?

  • A challenge to complete your objective and return to extraction with most of your team alive

  • Realistic damage system where one bullet in you could mean death if untreated

  • Amputation that effects gameplay if you are stung by a Stalker’s stinger

  • Side effects that come from lack of medical care and pain

  • A companion app that has updated information and interacts with your character in real time.

  • Careful where you step, if you can hear them, they can hear you…

  • Your flashlight is your friend unless something else sees it.

In reality if you are badly injured you will not get the same life saving care on the field as you would at a hospital; so we have incorporated this into the game. If you are shot the time you have left to live will be short, your life may be prolonged with field treatment but you may experience pain and still die. However you will live for much longer than without treatment and can be fully healed when your team extracts.

The Seekers Companion App

is required to play the game to its fullest. The app is available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Using the app makes it quick easy to

  • See your teams objective and learn how to complete it

  • See the status of your characters health situation and where they are hurt

  • See how much ammo your character is holding and how much is in your clip

  • Make requests to amputate your fellow teammates and heal your wounds

  • View the map along with the location of your teammates and yourself

  • Manage the amount of batteries you have and their consumption

  • Use special equipment that you bring into each match
