Walkabout Mini Golf VR
What a hidden gem! This is an absolute MUST have for VR, especially if you are playing with friends. You’re going to think I’m kidding, but this stands next to Pavlov and Alyx in my top three VR games.
While so many games feel like tech demos, this plays smoothly and accurately, has great multiplayer, has fun collectables, it’s got charm - It’s just an actual finished game that feels like it was made with love.
Not the mention the new map added for free which was awesome and introduced a new gameplay mechanic as well. I can’t wait for the next one. I’m writing this review because the devs really deserve it!

This is the best VR Mini Golf game out. I really like the map designs and searching for new golf balls and looking for clues on the (hard) courses to unlock new putters really adds more to the game.

Links E6
Enjoy that this is basically the old LInks game. I prefer the 3-click to mouse movement for golf games and don’t care about ability to control ball movement / spin after shot. I don’t have issues with speed / flow of swing meter). I like the simplicity, but, wish there was an avatar and ability to select different clubs in the bag (swap 4 hybrid for 3-iron, etc). I miss the commentary during play (Nice shot!, Great Eagle!, etc,.). Would like to see other E6 golf courses other than the current selections. Thought that the graphics could have been a bit better, but, that may be due to reusing old scans. Others have had issues getting the game to play or crashing during the game - I have not experienced any of those issues, but, I’m playing a relatively new, modest gaming PC (i5-10400 - 16GB RAM, NVME SSD, 1660 Super 6GB video card) running Windows 10 21H1. Did not expect it to be a free game which was nice, of couse, the additional course packs extra, but, reasonably priced.

First impression review. Let me preface this by saying I am not a tourney or group player. Strictly a come home after work and play a relaxing round of PC golf type of player. I have been playing Links series 2 click and 3 click for years. Don’t care for true swing type golf games. That being said I loaded this up and headed to the Range. No adjustments, all default settings. Hit about a 100 shots and I have to agree with the folks about a swing model flaw. In the first 15 minutes I completely duffed the ball about 50% of the time. Okay, need to practice. After 30 minutes I had that down to about 15% of the time. Better, but after 43 minutes I still duffed the ball around 10-15% of the time and did not see myself improving and I had to concentrate so intently on trying to hit the swing marks I was getting a headache. At this point I could not imagine playing a round without duffing the ball 4-6 times. Not fun and not to realistic for an experienced golfer. The swing formula is very unforgiving. If you over swing at all to get power the down swing is so fast you duff the ball most of the time. In earlier Links games an over swing would result in a nasty hook or slice, in E6 you duff the ball. In fact I found that I rarely hooked or sliced at all and when I did they were mild, right on the edge of the rough. Which brings up another flaw in that whether I hooked, sliced or hit straight many of the balls were going to the exact same spot, not to realistic. UPDATE: After 2 hours of play and playing 36 holes, the game is playable but I stand by my unforgiving swing comment. I can get pars and birdies but I completely duff the ball 4-5 times per 9 holes. You can use mulligans for those but it takes away from the realism and feels like cheating. Other observations are that the auto caddie makes things pretty easy and all that’s left is the clicking. Also auto caddie was not always accurate especially on chipping and made putting too easy. I made too many 50ft + putts. Also as someone else mentioned, the environment is a little sterile. You have birds and wind but no clapping or comments. Last, really irritating to have to log in and enter a password for solo play, I wish there was an offline component. Overall game can be fun with practice.

Mulligans Golf Game
Mulligans Golf Game is a Local Multiplayer (split screen), wacky, arcade golfing game. Gameplay is a combination of open world freedom and old school console split screen arcade style play surrounding a simplified yet challenging golfing experience. It is not a Sim but is designed to provide the scenarios and emotions that come when playing real golf. Players choose from the available pool of legendary characters and pre-built maps, playing solo, attempting to set new personal bests, going for course records (local and global leaderboards), or grabbing some friends and challenging each other to see who is the best!
What is there to do?
Play local matches competing against yourself. Personal Records (per character) and Local Leaderboards (per map) are maintained. Global Steam leaderboards are also implemented so you can compete against others for the top spot!
Local Multiplayer has up to 4 players with Steam’s Remote Play enabled. So if you don’t have someone local to play against, invite a friend over the airwaves! Play matches against each other and make in game wagers on who is going to do better (long drives, closes to the pin, and best score). Also, checkout the driving range for a few different game modes and see who can get the better score. Or just run around throwing golf balls at one another.
Taking a Swing
As a player, you are given all the tools you need, but must make the decision on what kind of shot (normal, punch, flop, chip), how to shape it (fade, straight, draw), and how hard to hit it. The game will not tell you any more than recommending a club to use. So lineup and take a few practice swings to determine your plan of attack. Practice swings will update the estimated shot trajectory, allowing you to determine if your current approach is going to work. Then it is up to you to replicate your practice swing once addressing the ball. And if you mess it up, hopefully you have one of your Mulligans available to redo it.
Current features include:
-
Preset Legendary Characters
-
Pre-built maps
-
Stroke and Skin match play
-
Wagers
-
Driving Range and Practice Greens for improvement (map specific)
-
Local Leaderboards, Character PBs (per course), Global Steam Leaderboards.

Off The Chains Disc Golf
Update: Game is Dead no dev work anymore don’t expect much
played for about 5 hours and love the game. really hope the dev doesn’t drop production and have plans to stream this game in rotation because of how into disc golf my buddy and I are.
Bugs:
-
don’t like that i HAVE to teleport to my disc for the bag to pop up and let me take a shot
-
Sometimes the round won’t end no matter how many times the last person throws their disc in the chains
-
I can pull a disc out and carry it within 10 ft of the basket and drop it in for an ace

This is an excellent Disc Golf experience. My friends and I play IRL about once a week, and while it takes some adjustment to throwing weightless VR discs; the physics of this game are consistent enough that you can apply your real-life disc golf skills into the game with just a bit of practice. The environments look great, and the terrain of the courses feel diverse and realistic. I was able to maintain a smooth wireless experience on my Oculus Quest (1) over Virtual Desktop on High settings. The visuals aren’t photo-realistic, but they are good enough I feel that I’m able to be immersed in the experience.

Nice Shot! The Gun Golfing Game
Surprisingly fun game.
Definitely one to beat, as the game gets a lot more fun after completing the Expert level. Great game to play while waiting for something to complete, execute, begin, etc.
Haven’t had a chance to play multiplayer, yet. I’m impressed that this game actually has multiplayer as an option.
Good work, dev.

This is the most fun I’ve had in a video game in a while. The controls are tight, the shots are crisp, and even though the graphics are somewhat simplistic, the game is visually beautiful! This is a great game to relax after a long day and an excellent game to play with your friends! You will enough lots of laughs.
So go ahead, take your “Nice Shot!”

Disc Golf Valley
The Pro Shop is a ripoff. You pay for extra space in your disc bag but never get it. This has happened to me three times.
There are few things in life I love more than playing disc golf in gale force winds. But Disc Golf Valley lets me do that even when it’s not hurricane season!
The Angels of Death from Raiders of the Lost Ark keep messing up my putts.
Approach shots are a joke, On the same hole with the same wind conditions, you can throw with the same force twice and have it sail completely over the basket once and the next time have it bounce off the basket cage.

I am having way too much fun with this game! However, a few things to note:
-
This “port” is basically identical to the original mobile game. The controls (except mouse instead of touch), the UI etc. is the same. This is mostly no problem, in fact I prefer using the mouse to the mobile version, but it would be nice if it was possible to use keyboard shortcuts for often used actions.
-
To do anything apart from the practice mode you NEED to login with a Google account.
If the mentioned issues are no blockers for you I can absolutely recommend this game.

This game is ABSOLUTELY INSANELY better than ANY of the competition Mini-Golf games. Golf With Your Friends and others can only dream of the unique graphics and creativity this game has become. With a VERY active Dev team behind the game, it has come farther than GWYF ever did in over 4 years of being released! With the race mode and lobby waiting room, along with so much more to come, this game creates a whole new level for Mini-Golf styled games!!

Perfect Round Disc Golf
If you like disc golf, this game will hook you up. The courses are beautiful. The discs fly realistically. Gameplay is fun, easy to learn, yet challenging enough to make you continuously want more. More skill gains, course unlocks, character unlocks, and more! Your first round, you may be turned off by the “goofy game characters”. In response, the author added regular humans, but the game characters are unquestionably more fun to play! And now with easily attainable new Skins, the game characters have even more character! NO Pay to Play, all game unlocks are FREE to earn! This adds an interesting video game aspect to an already great golf sim.

One Man development “team”. Rough Around the edges, extremely playable.
While there are some minor flaws, from reading up many of them are on the road map to be addressed. Personally the biggest “flaw” Ive found are the downhill flight physics; a disc can keep going for 1200 feet almost as if the disc is “falling down a hill” if that makes sense. Again, an early access title still in development.
I feel as if this game captures disc golf almost perfectly. I havent been able to play for a year and a half, when previously it was 3x a week, so this game is filling a hole for me.
