Ok so this is my third time posting a review for this game. First i gave a bad review because there were simply too many bugs and errors that made it impossible to play, but then they fixed it so fast that i changed my review to a good one. But now they felt like game needed more updates and added lobbies, which seem cool. But i have been trying to enter a lobby or create one and wait people to enter and nothing is happening, no matter how long i wait its empty. Now here i am, changing my review to a bad one once again because even though this game is actually great there is no point of keeping it if you wont be able to play it.

Knight Crawlers

Knight Crawlers

You are a Crawler, struggling to survive the battles that unfold behind every dark portal. Your skill cards and weapons are your only bastions against the forces of the horde. In this physics based ARPG, each crawl is unique through the choices you make. Hunt for loot, craft powerful equipment, and head into arenas to battle against other crawlers.

Key Features

Physics Based Combat

Crawling through realms doesn’t have to be a lonely affair. Enter PvP arenas to test your skills against other crawlers or team up to fight the horde together.

The Choices are Yours to Make

Whether you are choosing your dominion points, skill cards, or weapons, every choice makes every crawl unique.

Crafting Brings Great Power

Crafting equipment and weapons will be the difference between making it out alive or being overrun by hordes of enemies.

Dominions

Dominions are the talents you learn after every crawl. Choose between several dominion classes to specialize your skills and add to your arsenal of astral defenses.

Legend of Mana

Legend of Mana

This game is my favorite game of all time. It has so much depth. Everything about it is great. Its hard for me to be objective here so I’ll try to break out what I love about it in order of importance.

1. The combat. The combat has a lot of variety to it with multiple weapons, plunge attacks, magic spells, golem behaviors, monster pets, and synch effects. Its kinda like a fighting game in that you can combine skills together to chain some pretty awesome combos. You can play local co op too and beat the crap out of the enemies with your friends.

The moment I saw the announcement of Legend of Mana Remaster appear both on Steam and Nintendo Direct a few months back, I was overcome with nostalgia and anticipation. This game was a favorite and staple of m middle school days and I remember fondly the times I played with my brother completing dungeons and quests, bouting out in the arena with our characters, and just explore the world of Fa’diel and be mystified by its surroundings and diverse characters.

Now, as an adult, I have revisited my little treehouse and see through it with a newer perspective and compared it with what I can remember in my childhood.

WE ARE FOOTBALL

WE ARE FOOTBALL

Great game made by German football manager developer veterans with tons of leagues and teams which keeps on getting better and better! A lot of the issues players had in the beginning have been addressed and fixed through regular updates or will be addressed in future updates,

It does not have official licensing but that is actually a positive in my opinion as it gives a more immersive feeling of an alternate football universe where you can lead your low-level team to international glory.

Not as much depth as SI’s manager with all the stats and info, obviously, but it has some nice gimmicks like the infrastructure and back-office options. And the game does not take itself too seriously so you can expect a few humorous things here and there.

First impressions? Not that good but has potential.

The UI is bloated and confusing, the upside is that you can delegate most of the tasks so you can just do that if you feel overwhelmed and get into it in a later date.

The UI in itself feels generic and boring, did mention bloated already so you’re quite busy looking for thing…you do get used to it at some point, I’m in my third season right now.

A lot of quality of life improvements are due, more often than ever I found myself using the arrow keys to navigate the ListViews the UI presents just to be disappointed that you can’t use arrow keys, instead I have to move and click my mouse around which is a pain and personally annoying.

Monster Train

Monster Train

I guess hours played should really say what I think about this game.

I have a very specific morning routine. I wake up, start making coffee, brush my teeth and have a smoke. When coffee is finished I sit down and slowly wake up to a game or two of Monster train before starting work. Sometimes I play a game of Slay the spire but since that takes about 30-45 seconds to start I tend to go for Monster train (500 hours of SLS on Gog).

This is the perfect timewaster. Easy to get into and all the different races have so much variability. And deckbuilding is my favorite boardgame game mode ever.

Real player with 1233.5 hrs in game

Game is pretty fun. A bit more combo based than say Slay the Spire and a lot of luck can be needed on higher difficulties. That being said it is bright and fun and it’s enjoyable to take a train to hell.

Star Control®: Origins

Star Control®: Origins

I have broken this review into a few sections, because I feel like what you need to know depends on where you are coming from.

You played Star Control 2, and liked it a lot?

You should like this game. It basically follows the same formula in terms of story and gameplay, but with some welcome improvements, such as an automatic story log where you can review key details of past encounters, and a searchable star map with the ability to add your own bookmarks.

There are also some other subtle improvements. Enemy factions have more than one type of ship you will encounter, bringing added variety to combat. Your own allies will only provide one kind of ship, but your flagship can be equipped with a wide variety of different types of weapons and other abilities.

Real player with 79.2 hrs in game

tl;dr; A beautiful and very funny adventure which is drowning in grindy, under- or mis-developed mechanics. [Verdict: 2/5]

=========================================

I have bought the game myself and completed it.

Let’s list all the positives first:

  • Very good art direction overall. Graphics, animations, aliens: all are very well done and a joy to look at.

  • Good story. Nothing super-original, but good enough with some minor twists and turns.

  • Interesting lore: using the main and also side quests there is a lot background information which enriches the world of this game.
