Argy Bargy Legends

Argy Bargy Legends

Inertial Drift: Sunset Prologue

Inertial Drift: Sunset Prologue

I really enjoyed this.

At first it seems like you can’t steer enough, and drifting is sudden, but as you’ll find out it’s not at all bad design. It’s just something to get used for about the first 3 laps. Go try it again, steer where you can, brake some more, and you’ll find it’ll go way smoother. It’s a great feeling to nail those turns once you get it.

Then you’re given - The Dragon - and you’re back to square one again. Flying off the road and feeling this thing is impossible to drive. But once again, you’ll just have to give it another go to get this monster under control. And you will, and it feels amazing.

Initially I was skeptical about the drifting mechanics as I felt I had too much control over the car for it to be fun drifter but after unlocking the “HPE Dragon” I started to understand the vision and came to appreciate it the game. In addition to the enjoyable gameplay. The sound design is great, hitting different surfaces produces appropriate sound effects and the soft OST suits the game without being derivative of similar games in the genre. Last of all the art style has a good use of colors and is pleasing to look with the cars designs being unique and memorable and race tracks having unique landmarks and dressing which comes together to creating a lasting visual appeal.

A fun and quirky game to play with your friends. I love it! The mechanics and layout is great. A great game to play when you are bored and just want to mess around with friends. One problem is that I have noticed many people exploiting glitches in public matches, such as using the character Ping’s teleport to glitch onto unreachable spots for the beast, such as roofs and trees. I think this can easily be fixed. Regardless, I recommend this game for people who just want to mess around and like “weird” games, haha. -

I bought this game today, and so far have put in 4.5 hours into it. For a dollar, got it on sale… it is absolutely worth every penny. For five bucks, this game is worth it. I cannot talk about the online play or whatnot, but if you have a group of friends, buy this game and spread it to them like candy.

You have a game of tag with powers…

You have a game of tag that plays like zombie mode, spreading to each person you tag…

You have a game of… of… being a raccoon and nomphing folks.

But above all, you have RABBIT SOCCER!

Demigod

Demigod

I regret the times, when I couldn’t play this game in it’s prime, when tournaments were alive. But I don’t regret buying digital copy now.

Back in 2008, when I read about the game, DotA Allstars was already a thing you need to be aware of if you play games. And I was indeed aware. I tried the thing and got bored pretty quickly. Something was amiss. Something didn’t want me to enjoy the game, and I felt out of place, when I heard praise about this new exciting genre like MOBA.

When I read about Demigod I got a little flame of hope lit up in me. Everything from background of characters to the name of the game and a little story behind already was to my liking. But would the gameplay keep up with that? I wasn’t sure.

First off, let me state that when Demigod was released, it’s multiplayer was pretty much broken due to the publisher insisting on doing the netcode and sucking at it hardcore. This issue has since been resolved, and is no longer an issue; the multiplayer works just fine now, no real problems.

Now, from there, let’s get into a few aspects of the game itself:

Demigod is a MOBA style game, where you play as a single hero/champion/demigod/whatever style character who starts off kinda flimsy, and gradually levels up, fighting large armies of enemy units with the goal of defeating the enemy team. Thing LoL, HoN, DotA, Smite, Dawngate and so on.

Fragsurf

Fragsurf

I have been playing Combat Surf on CS:GO since September of 2017. As a game mode, it brings a satisfying fluidity of movement that you can personalize to make it your own. With a variety of maps and settings to play on, the way a game is played changes from person to person and how they approach it. However, with its positives comes its downside. The source engine that is most commonly played on for combat surf is not meant for high speed engagements, so there are many problems that cannot be fixed with plugins or other server side fixes. Fragsurf is the perfect way to implement this fun game mode into, as said about the game, a modern engine. In play tests, the hit registration has significantly improved compared to GO and so has its over all smoothness and accessibility. I highly recommend this game for those who already enjoy playing or for those who are interested.

Review Updated for Fragsurf v2.0 - 20 hours into the new update

After the 2.0 update I can say that the game has went from basic roblox bhop to an actual movement game that can compete with other titles in the same genre.

Although there is a lot to improve on and polish, the game is playable and enjoyable for only $9 USD! You could also just wait for a sale but either way the game is cheap.

Pros :

  • Can be played solo/LAN

  • Invite friends easily (P2P lobbies)

  • Replay bots are now in the game with settings to change the replay speed, draw a line of their route, and you can watch anyone’s replay and not just the WR!

Inertial Drift

Inertial Drift

Inertial Drift is easily one of the best racing games I’ve ever played. If you like racers, this game might just become your new favorite.I’ve been looking for a game to replace OutRun 2. I love that game, and there are a lot of reasons Inertial Drift are able to rival that game- easily. Inertial Drift rocks. The gameplay is amazing. The two-stick controls deliver everything it promises to and more- there’s hundreds of hours of potential here. Each car handles uniquely, and the story mode used as a medium to unlock these works. It’s not the next Final Fantasy VI, but the story is good enough to satisfy the need as a gameplay facet. I even liked it. The music and camera work within the game create the perfect feeling of dynamics, and you’ll sit down glued to the game hours at a time. The game is even more pretty when you play, than when you watch it. Like, as soon as you hold this game in your hands and play, you’ll be chuckling with joy. Its so fun.Nothing’s perfect though, and there are some minor issues with the game. I’m writing this review on the first patch, close to release. There’s a couple glitches to be sorted out, but patches are coming through well. The music is awesome, but there aren’t a ton of options. You’ll never get tired of it looping soothingly in the BG, but more options could be sweet. Also, cars don’t collide (at least not in the normal story mode) so passing an opponent isn’t a tactical epic. But you get to focus on making the best lap times on the best lines- so if that’s your cup of tea, its either there or its not.Otherwise? Play this game. The demo will hook you. Every moment is historic racing awesomeness. See you on the road.

Now, it should be said at first, that this game isnt a traditional racing game. its a time trialling game, along the lines of dirt rally or trackmania, where its less about wheel to wheel racing and more about perfecting your racing line. if thats not what you want, you might want to think a little harder about getting this.for those who DO enjoy time trialling though, i highly suggest you pick this up. the control scheme alone could easily carry this game, allowing a level of precision i dont think ive ever seen in another driving game. coupled with great track design, lots of very individual cars, simplistic but great looking graphics, the sense of speed and the games way of encouraging you to just get better and better and better by always showing you the next player on the leaderboards to beat makes this one of my favorite racing games yet.my only complaints really are a… “lack” of tracks - theres ten in total, all available in reverse as well. while this is enough for now, it might get a little stale later on. additional tracks, maybe in a dlc, would be very welcome - the rather dim lighting, which can make tracks unpredictable if you play them for the first time, although thats not a problem the more experience you get, and… while not really a complaint, it certainly is a bit annoying that there is no eurobeat in this game. the game’s soundtrack isnt bad, quite good actually, but… its a shame the game doesnt have it….oh, and the “story” is quite bad. the events themselves are fine, but the writing is awful. then again, its a racing game, so who cares about the story.tldrtime trials, no racing heregreat controlsgreat vehicle varietypretty graphicsgreat sense of speedvery rewardingonly minor complaints…get this game, it be good.

What a great game! :)

Just played my first half hour and came back to leave an early review to (hopefully) encourage others to get it too.

IT IS a wave shooter - no avoiding that. But it’s a retro-fit shooter that gives me flashbacks to the classic Galaxians arcade. Which is a good thing!

The graphics are very colourful and present a unique stylized environment from which you face your enemies. You’ve got an epic looking blaster and there’s also a shield power-up you can collect which you hold in the other hand.

*** Updated Review 4/12/2019 ***

Now that the game is officially released, I updated my review to reflect the changes in the game. Unfortunately, I still don’t like the game as the changes/updates made weren’t enough to change my opinion. This is still a subpar waveshooter that belongs to the realm of the mobile VR .99 cents category.

You can view my updated review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/oziUeFK22Zg

Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers

I got this game for free as part of the Steam Curator Connect program. This is a 180 degree stand still wave shooter. You have one gun, although there are certain upgrades like a shield or slow motion or a gravity blast. I usually like to play any game I get free longer than I did with this game so I can give a full & detailed review, but I had to tap out. It just wasn’t fun and I wasn’t making any further progress. I am 100% that playing it longer wouldn’t change my opinion, in fact, it would probably just make me dislike the game more. Honestly, I had gone as far as I could tolerate.
