Blastboard

Blastboard

I’m playing this now with 3 friends and I have to say…I’m very surprised! This is actually a real fun game to play in a group and a great time killer when solo. I run 3 screens and it works fine. More features/DLC would be cool or even Workshop. For the price you can’t lose IMHO.

Want to have fun? Then gather a company of friends and turn on the game.

Alias, this is a word clarification game in which at least two two-person teams take part.

Its essence is the explanation in other words of the hidden word. Through associations, synonyms, antonyms or hints, your accomplice must guess as many words as possible in the allotted time.

A good addition is that this game can be played both online and in the same room as friends or family.

Alias is so simple and interesting that it will captivate not only teenagers, but also people of all ages.

I honestly love this game. It has that sporty feel and the rounds are super short which all in all makes it really addicting. At least for me lol. It’s got a couple bugs I’ll admit but I still think it’s worth it.

CONET|コネット

CONET|コネット

“Conet” is an extremely simple one-on-one strategy game of dots and boxes.

Black is the first player and white is the second player.

Clicking the square dots will connect them with lines to any other adjacent square dots that have already been clicked, scoring you one point for each line formed.

Both players take in turns clicking the square dots until they have all been clicked, and the player with the most points wins!

The special “lonely points” rule also means that any square dots that have not been connected to any others are worth three points each.

Tetris® Effect: Connected

Tetris® Effect: Connected

Tetris is the king of the puzzle games. The thing practically made the GameBoy sell for 10 years, the longest running console in History.

And with such notoriety, you didn’t necessarily need to improve on the formula. Game sold! Why spend money trying to improve when it’s already perfect?

So over the years, we’ve seen the licence get adapted for garbage mediums. Java. Apps on smartphones. Facebook gigs. Adaptations on stupid consoles. Quick cashgrabs. Still, the licence remained draped in glory.

Summary

Latest iteration of possibly the most well-known block matching puzzle game in the world.

In detail

Over the last couple decades there has been plenty of Tetris games and countless more if you include all clones or ones that somehow borrow the core idea of dropping shapes and having the player match them together. The gameplay needs no explanation, but this brings it officially to the modern systems and adds a couple new spins on it as well.

The game is divided into three main subsections: journey mode, effect modes and multiplayer mode.

EQUALINE

EQUALINE

The price is probably a bit steep for what it is, nonetheless this is a fun and stylish short-burst game of mental agility - Boggle for Maths, basically. Plenty of variants to the standard Endless mode as well. It’s early access, so hopefully mouse will get patched in at some point, and it would be nice if it showed you the solution to a puzzle you passed or timed out on.

– Review written for 3 Point Play

Among the things I’ve always hated, were I to make a list, math would probably be in the top 3. It’s not that I lack the skill to do calculations nor anything like that, but I guess every human has a particular way to approach society’s problems, and that would be the basis for almost any field of study. Go and ask a writer about the world’s problems, and his take on how to solve them, and the answer he’ll give you will probably be quite different from the ones that a scientist, mathematician or politician could provide you with.

Olden: Card Game

Olden: Card Game

Olden: Card Game is designed in such a way that every battle will give a different and unique experience. A mix of overpowered and weak cards in your hand and deck will constantly test you and your opponent ability to adapt and make the best out of the current situation. In order to give players a form of individuality and theory crafting outside the match, the game offers unique talent systems per every avatar that will help the player with various perks.

In this battle of entities there is no deck building and no card collecting, so all you need to do in order to enter the match is to choose your avatar and hit the play button.

For now, there is: Entity of Light, Death, Chaos and Life.

Your entity will give your troops a unique bonus during the whole length of the game.

Basic rules

To win the game, the player needs to harvest 300 value points. Your entity receives value points whenever you sacrifice your own cards.

Once your turn begins, you receive 2 tokens: an action token and a draw token. Your options are to:

  • Play a card and build your board presence

or

  • Engage in combat by attacking one of your opponents’ cards

or

  • sacrifice your own card, so you can harvest its current value.

Doing any one of these three things will consume your action token.

To consume your draw token, simply click on the main deck to draw a card, and that’s it.

For now, there are 3 card abilities, effect, passive and combat.

Effect is something that will happen only once, at the moment a card is played by the player. A card’s effect does not trigger in cases where you summon or resurrect it with other cards. Effects take place only if they are played directly from your hand.

A card’s passive ability will be present so long as the chosen card is on the board. Once the card with the passive ability is removed from the board, its passive ability will go away along with it.

Combat ability is something that will only trigger once that card engages in combat with an enemy card.

As mentioned, you can use your turn to perform an attack action and engage in combat. To perform an attack, simply place your card on the top of the opponent card. After one turn, your card value number will sink its value into the opposing card. If your card has enough value to destroy your opponent’s card, it will do so, and then it will return to your side of the board.

If your card does not have enough value to destroy an opponent’s card, it will do its damage after one turn, and then be destroyed.

You can engage in combat with cards that are already on the board, or with the cards from your hand.

One card can be attacked by multiple cards at the same time.

To win the game, a player needs to harvest 300 value points. Players can harvest value points by sacrificing their own cards that are not currently in combat. To perform a card sacrifice, select your card, and then click on its respective altar. Performing a card sacrifice will consume your action token.

Ever wanted to play Connect 4 in a Rubik’s cube? Me neither!

Strange as this game is from visual style to game mechanics, there’s still plenty of fun to be had for a free to play game!

The UI is a little janky, but it’s still easy to set up a multiplayer game with a friend, and different modes that change the game’s mechanics keep the game interesting.

Highly recommend this game if you and a friend are looking for something new to play.

Real player with 2.6 hrs in game

I’d recommend this game, it’s a nice take on the classic connect 4 type of game with a cool concept added.

Your goal is the same as the classic game to make a row of 4 of your characters, but this time in a 3D puzzle.

The controls and interface are well explained and works well.

The game visuals and animations also are really pleasant with a nice music.

You can play solo or against a friend in three different modes with their own settings also detailed ingame.

When you play solo, you can chose between three difficulties (easy, medium and hard).

Revelation

Revelation

Time to Get Crackin’

The flashlight held between your teeth casts a dim light on the combination locks in the otherwise pitch-black vault. Near-inaudible clicks tap out the rhythm of the delicate dance of your heist as your trembling hands coax the discs into place with precise movements of the dials. The silent alarm was tripped minutes ago and the police are on their way. But you’re not backing out now — you came for fortune, and you’re not leaving without it.

Revelation is an intense arcade-style puzzle game from Krisalis where you spin color-coded interconnected dials inside clockwork locks to match colors and create chain reactions to open each safe. Thinking ahead is crucial, as each lock will affect adjacent locks when spun. These tricky puzzles would be difficult on their own, but they’re made even more challenging with the addition of a timer counting down the time until you’re caught red-handed breaking in. Keep one eye on the dials, and another on the lookout for collectibles that appear on the screen to give you additional time, stop the clock, and more. Finish each puzzle before time runs out, grab the loot, and get out of there!

  • Over 80 puzzling stages of increasingly complex safe-cracking gameplay, including bonus stages where you have ten seconds to figure out the one move which will solve the entire safe. Choose wisely!

  • Quickly solve each stage to plunder the safe for valuables — some of which can be used to help you in later stages

  • Break in alone, or with an accomplice in two-player mode
