Good things:

This game has some good Sokoban puzzles and other puzzles that require you to think and remember where is what on the level to complete them. I also liked that there is a checkpoint after you open each door as that let’s you make mistakes and learn to do better without having to restart whole level.

The bosses were challenging the first time you meet them as you don’t know the exact mechanic to beat each one of them. After you understand the mechanic behind each boss they become easy to beat. But at least gameplay is fun and you want to finish the game with each hero just to see the ending for each one of them. It is also good that each of 4 heroes have their own goals in mind and personalities and the win sliders show what have they become in the future and how they look while you play them shows what they were good in during early years of their life.

The game is a lot of fun, bringing different levels and the puzzles are made with a lot of creativity and guarantees fun and the desire to play. The whole story of the game is creative, especially the bosses who are all connected with the theme of reproduction. An excellent game I recommend to everyone who buys and generates the fun

Adventure Light

Adventure Light

Adventure Light is a very atmospheric stylized puzzle side-scrolling game about a young boy named Steve. He is compelled to find his best friend Adam and, in his quest, he ventures onto the darkest paths of the mysterious forest.

Throughout the whole trip, you will encounter various interesting puzzles, which you will have to solve in order to keep moving. All the puzzles are designed as a combination of different elements of the environment that the main character interacts with. In particular: levers, boxes, platforms, carts, lamps, elevators, timers, doors, mills, pulleys, gears, and so on.

In order to make the trip even more enthralling, along the entire road, you will have an opportunity to find hidden plot items, that will reveal the details of this tangled story.

A special emphasis has to be placed on the atmosphere, given that it allows you to put yourself in the main character’s shoes and ultimately immerse in the fantasy world. The proper atmosphere in Adventure Light is established with the help of several key aspects, such as story, arts, color scheme, environment, forest sounds, and background music. All of them combined to allow the player to tap into the right mood and induce in him the right set of emotions.

Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince

Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince

Playing Trine 4 right after Finishing T1,2 and 3.. The revert and a step back to Trine 2 design rejuvenate my faith for the game.

First of all, the concerning about Trine 4 continuing what they did in Trine 3 is gone. Trine 3 never existed in Trine 4 universe other than the inherrited assets and ideas (which also ruined Trine 4 in a way).

The Devs start a new story in Trine 4 with nothing related to Trine 3. Trine 3 never existed. You don’t get to see the ending of Trine 3, but you also don’t have to worry about getting half a game continued from a previous badly made one. This here is a full game of its own.

achievements

easy 100% - achievements order you to either finish a level or collect all obtainables. plenty of guides, plus it isn’t hard to find them on your own. DLC doesn’t contain any achievements, so you may skip it and still get 100% (unlike in Trine 2)

Trine 2 or Trine 4?

any of them will be good. Trine 4 has better graphics, polished HUD and better UX; Trine 2 has a better puzzle-combat flow. in other words one game nailed the presentation, another got gameplay right - but either of them will be a nice choice. I prefer Trine 2, tho

Freerunners

Freerunners

Freerunners is a game about giving the feeling of freerunning (Parkour). Finding a flow and an underlying rhythm of movement as you traverse through your environment in the quickest time possible.

Start off a total noob and become a skilled pro, learning new moves along the way. Vault, climb, jump, duck, swing, flip, slide, do what it takes to travel as fast as possible whilst using your environment to outwit the enemy henchmen who have kidnapped your freerunning teacher and are hunting you down.

Be Fast, Be Fluid, Be Direct!

Key Features:

  • 50 Fast-paced Levels - Think quick and solve problems on the move in fast-paced action-packed levels.

  • Use Your Environment - Outwit evil henchmen using the environment and your freerunning skills.

  • Fail, Retry, Refine - You’re going to fail a bunch as you find your flow but refine your timing and technique and watch as you improve and flow more seamlessly through your environment.

  • Learn New Freerunning Moves - Progressing from a total noob to a freerunning badass. No better way to learn than by jumping in the deep end… and by deep end I mean being hunted by the henchmen of an evil organisation.

  • Look The Part, Unlock New Outfits - Gotta look the part. You can wear good running shoes or flip-flops if you are feeling adventurous.

  • Speedrunner-friendly - Be fast, be fluid, be direct and complete levels in the fastest time possible, well suited to speedrunning.

This game has TONs of promise, and to be honest I am quite impressed at how stable it ran for me given it’s a one-man-show - fantastic work!

Now to the details -

Pros:

The game mechanics are phenomenal and with a story-line this literally has the potential to be the next Portal/Portal2 in my opinion.

Uses a known-stable engine and runs rock-solid already.

I had a LOT of fun with it!

Cons/Areas needing support:

Graphics are rather simple and definitely need to be spruced up drastically (this is not a one-man job in my opinion though… if a shop were to pick this up and give it a total makeover it would be a huge boon for the game.)

Very much in the Portal tradition, although I don’t remember Portal being that difficult, esp. when it comes to failing at something…and in this case - always dying. I think if you lighten the requirements for staying alive, eg how far you fall, and maybe a little more tolerance with the missile range, it would be a lot more fun (?). Love the physics at play here, and it seems pretty accurate.

Also, unlike Portal (the second version), it would be interesting after developing these skills to be put into a different environment (maybe escape the old one?) and try to go from point A to point B in order to survive. Perhaps this could be the sequel to part I.

The story is set in a dystopic world. Our main character is a journalist that, hate the “President” when he gives a controversial speech. She calls him an idiot and gets arrested. She is then given a chance for a better place if she can complete the contest alive. The contest is made through several stages, each stage has traps and challenges similar to ones in old platformer games. The player must memorize the patterns to complete levels. The game is hard according to testers thus we didn’t add any difficulty settings for now. In the game, some levels have timers and extra challenges. For example, if the player misses all shots, they need to restart the level.
