I am not even going to lie, some of the most fun I have had so far this year somehow came from Crab Game… This game is just a whole lot of fun - especially with friends and family, that is when the game is at its absolute best. Nothing beats gathering 5-10 friends/family members and just running around hiding, smacking each other, pushing each other off the map, etc. In theory this game is so simple, yet a lot of fun. It runs perfectly - I mean, the game hardly sets the industry standards for graphics or anything but still - and I would not be surprised if you could run this absolute beauty on a toaster.

PICO PARK

PICO PARK

A multiplayer game where you can enjoy it with 4 or 8 players unlike some other large multiplayer games like among us where it can suck if you don’t have enough friends to join you.

The more players you have can just make the game harder so if you want a challenge go for that as the game seems like it can be quite quick and easy to complete otherwise.

This game is amazing. The community is small, but awesome, the gameplay is simple, but lots of fun, and the developer is extremely hardworking and listens to what the players have to say. I cannot wait to see how this game will improve in the future. I highly recommend this game to anyone who wants a casual multiplayer horror game to play with a few friends. Even those without friends can join the official discord server and there is always someone to play with. I give this game a 9.5/10 overall

Keeping in mind that this game is early access, it is nothing short of great.

It’s pixelated aesthetic and good use of sound makes the game extra spooky and fun to play with friends.

The gameplay can be quite monotonous, depending on your luck with level generation, but the overall simple mechanics mixed with intense moments and victories makes it very well worth the price if you have other people to play with.

Keep in mind that the game is still early access, and the gameplay changes drastically with each update, although most of the changes improve the overall game and bring many new things to the table.

Pogostuck: Rage With Your Friends

Pogostuck: Rage With Your Friends

Pogostuck: Rage With Your Friends is a well-designed, fun, colourful and ambient rage game that stretches the lines of human sanity, determination and pain. On the surface, Pogostuck looks and breathes like a bouncy, Getting over It-esque, online, fun challenging game; however, this fantasy is destroyed after around 25 hours of playtime. In total, the first map took me around 50 hours to beat, which can be visualised below:

0-3 hours: “This is pretty hard but I’m going to beat it.”

4-10 hours: “This is kind of hard but I’m making progress.”

Is this the start or the end?

Oh caterpillar, hold me friend!

I’m soaring high right through the sky,

see soaring beans this must be dreams.

I pogo this, I pogo that,

I’m longing for my brand new hat!

I bonk and yeet,

land on my feet,

I Alt F4,

come back for more.

I ‘member grapes, I ‘member trees,

but not the bees I beg you please!

The blade of life, it does it’s thing,

like I do mine, I hear it swing…

Dread

Dread

Dread is first-person 4 player online co-op survival horror game. Explore haunted environments ranging from abandoned manors, the underground catacombs below Paris, abandoned schools and more in realistic detail. Investigate, find evidence and get out to get paid.. Or stay and figure out how to cleanse the location of the spirit. No two games are ever the same as each spirit has it’s own unique abilities. The locations change becoming more dangerously terrifying the longer you stay but the payouts are also greater.

Some locations allow you to roam outside of the haunted environments in safety and play a supportive role. Sometimes the safest play isn’t actually safe at all..

Realistic Terror: Dread was built from the ground up around realistic graphics and minimal user interface for full immersion. This will feel too real.

Interactive: Most things in the world of Dread are interact-able. Open everything in the search for clues. Leave no stone un-turned.

Cross platform: Dread allows VR and flat screen players to enjoy the game together.

Never the Same Game Twice: Locations change in different ways as the investigation intensifies. While poltergeists will throw things around more and more the angrier they get. A demon may reveal the grisly details of the location’s past.

Trust No One: Sometimes death isn’t the end. A spirit may decide to possess a victim instead of adding their soul to the location’s list of victims. A possession victim must eliminate the remaining investigators before they can escape.

White Noise Online

White Noise Online

White Noise Online is multiplayer-based Slender-type game, by which I mean it’s a horror game where you go around collecting eight randomly placed objects while avoiding a monster that’s hunting you. Slenderman isn’t actually involved here, and there’s some twists to the formula here to keep it interesting, but the baseline is that this is an online co-op Slender-type game, and that fact will either sell you or turn you away from the game.

You play as one of over 20 characters in some very dark environment collecting cassettes. Strange statues line the environments, and a strange glowing monster chases you through the depths of darkness, with an intent to kill. However, the story here is rather non-existent, with the only narrative coming from an opening scene before the title screen, and the audio content that plays on the cassettes themselves when you pick them up.

Real player with 8.3 hrs in game

The concept of the game is decent. You wander around with friends and try to find the tapes before the monster kills you all off. But, the execution is pretty terrible.

First off, I’ll share my personal wackiest moment in the game. We were traveling around the map, over half way done. I go through a door, but alas it was trapped door. The game bugged and I got stuck. I spun around looking helplessly while a friend came over to inspect what was going on. I see the monster coming on the other side! Oh no! Then I start sinking into the ground to where I’m about face level with my friend’s shoes. Then… CATAPULT into the ceiling. I’m free! I take off running and the monster was apparently stunned by the remarkable stunt and didn’t instant kill me. However, other two friends get loss in that area and we go back to get them. I get stuck in the same spot. The monster didn’t have much mercy this time and reduced me to whatever he turns you into rather fast. My friend calmy walks through the doorway stepping on my body without issue. GG Doorway of anti-blonde Shaggy motives.
