Crystal Vibes feat. Ott.

One of VR"s most early kaleidoscopic music video dealies. Should be worth a dollar. It might have also been bundled with another set of experiences, I don’t remember. I’m probably thinking of something else. The music a funky dubstep dealie with strange sounds, so, up my alley for sure.

! I tried real hard to spell kaleidoscopic the first time correctly, and failed. I tried again just now looking at the correct spelling and failed. https://youtu.be/bUvpdrg90XM

Distrust: Polar Survival

Distrust: Polar Survival

TL;DR: I love arctic survival games - but Distrust: Polar Survival is a lesson in how NOT to make an arctic survival game. Distrust is supposed to be a game about surviving in arctic conditions - yet once you figure out how to manage your resources, you’ll find the biggest challenge is surviving the many bugs like dropped connections and lost inventory.

PROS

I love arctic survival games, where you are not just fighting to survive but where the harsh conditions of the environment itself is killing you. If this doesn’t describe what you enjoy playing, I’d advise you to stop right now and pass on this game.

Distrust:

“Mayday. . . Can anyone hear us? . . . We need help. . . We’re losing people one after the other. . . HELLLP!” Then . . . silence. That’s when we decided to send a rescue team to our neighbouring Arctic base. But then, as the helicopter approached the base, screams were echoing all around. All we could decrypt on our end was “what is that light?” After that, all communication was cut and there was no sign of the chopper on our radar. I hope the rescue team survived the crash. That’s just the start of Distrust!

It has a narrative-based story with a plot and rich dialogues of humorous nature, which beautifully highlight the story's narrative-based narrative and plot. Also Stalin vs. Martians 4 is a rather unexpected sequel to 2009’s infamous real-time strategy game. GameSpot named the original Stalin vs. Martians _‘perhaps the worst RTS game ever created’_. That’s high praise. You don’t hear it every day. Well yeah, the original Stalin vs. Martians featured some brilliant, but questionable ideas in the fields of game design, level design and some other designs as well. So we sent most of the original developers to Gulag, we're making a proper and, which is important, playable game. It is powered by Unreal Engine. And you're gonna like. #### Could you please be a little more serious? OK, Stalin vs. Martians 4 is an isometric action/shooter game. Which is frankly quite obvious from the screenshots and gameplay videos provided. But it must be understood, that SvM4 is not entirely about the core gameplay. It is more about the overall user experience. In a way, it can be compared to Catherine. Which is essentially a puzzle game, but in fact it is so much more than that. #### Even more serious SvM4 is built around the core gameplay of an isometric shooter, but it is conceived as a pythonesque over-the-top project, that puts a very unlikely protagonist against a very unlikely backdrop. All the time, mission after mission. It’s a sketch comedy about an evil idiotic buffoon. You have Stalin in Candyland, then he emerges in the Lovecraftian setting and fights Cthulhu, then he goes to Mars, then he travels to Ancient Greece, etc. Occasionally the game spoofs other games and introduces absurd mini-games. Sometimes it changes the genre, but within reason. And then you have crazy video intermissions (think of Red Alert or, you know, the original Stalin vs. Martians). As mentioned above, the game is very narrative-based. Kinda like Firewatch, but, you know, better. It is also very cinematic. So we intend to provide a stable, very cinematic rate of 24 frames per second… Oh, wait. Okay, maybe more if the audience expects a certain digital fidelity in this field. #### Features • A follow-up to one of the craziest games in history • Campy humor, insane concept and ridiculous storyline • A “sketch comedy” approach with a variety of settings and mini-games • Fast-paced isometric combat • Physics-based destruction system (“Katamari Damacy in reverse”) • At least 12 levels, separated by absolutely insane video intermissions • Narrative-based missions (“Firewatch on drugs”) • Some of the levels include mini-games, some are just switching the genre, because why not? • Character upgrades, crazy weapons and special abilities • Ranks system which defines the progress through the game • Survival mode • The bestest soundtrack ever • Actual gameplay The game may also feature nudity if we'll be able to find someone nude. (Which is unlikely). --- ![Radius Hex: Ink Shapes](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1504210/header.jpg "") ## Radius Hex: Ink Shapes ![](https://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1504210/extras/radius-wishlist-600x60.gif?t=1630498549) Organize by rotating ink-filled stamps to form beautiful shapes, When completing the puzzle the stamp is pressed on the paper, printing your watercolor painting! I'm addicted to this game, which I say somewhat lightheartedly. If we're being honest, I haven't slept because of this game (its just that good!!). Beautiful soundtrack and sound design as well, sometimes I leave the game running in the background while working just to listen to it. Visuals are somewhat lacking, however this game does include wonderful color schemes. This game truly changed me as a person, and I'm so grateful that it's free. This game brings natural graphics to life. I had worse than bad experiences with cheap plastic spirographs "made for kids" as a child, so I am astounded at what it COULD look like with the right tools. I didn't realize so many awesome shapes come from such simple movements. This game seems like it could be frustrating, but the music is so nice it distracts from any "mistakes". But even the mistakes are impressive, so why not keep trying. There is no negative feedback if you don't get it correct, but you get a nice PING and the completed drawing when you do. The music ebbs and flows in such a way as to sometimes create pregnant pauses as you hold your breath and see if you finally got it. The music is a loop but so long that it does not seem repetitive at all. I could listen to it for hours, but I don't want to bias my game clock, LOL. I think this game is good for all ages, and a good problem solving experience. I've even thought about how I could maybe make some of these moving planks and things to try to draw these patterns on paper perhaps. *– [Real player with 25.8 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198079120573)* By way of introduction, let me say that I'm a college mathematics professor. I played through the game in a few hours, and enjoyed almost every minute of it even though I knew almost immediately how to solve many of the puzzles. If you've never done parametric/polar coordinate math, some of the shapes or how to make them will be genuinely surprising. The game is in my opinion a great way to intuitively learn how compound motions can produce a variety of interesting figures. I enjoyed it so much that I plan to use it in a math class this very semester, along side traditional Mathematica-based computations. An "education mode" or "education edition" would be a very welcome expansion of the game, where completed puzzles could also show you some of the mathematics behind them…but I wouldn't want that to in any way distract a player who wants to play it as-is. *– [Real player with 9.8 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197994429999)* ---
