For new players the skill progress can be a little slow. But, if look from another angle, is good for new plataform players. Some people who never played a game like this will love the difficulty progression. The level design is very good, some times your mind start to find patterns and is very fun when it’s happen.

The controls

For me is good, responsive and have that nice slideness effect.

I miss at least one more form of keyboard control set.

But the basic, but well made is a good choice anyway

SwordBounce

SwordBounce

Fantastic game with an original concept, a great level design, and lot of challengues. It is a 2D platform game in which you use your sword to bounce over all kind of hazards. This may sound simple, but first of all, its really original ( i only saw this kind of gameplay on Hollow Knight, and it wasn’t the main concept ), and second, is way more complex than might you think initially.

The levels are very challenging and the sword-bounce is used in many different ways. You unlock some powerups that makes this gameplay even more complex, and also there are secret levels, whose level design is unique and very different form the main game.

Holy crap this game was amazing. This needs to be a staple in the challenging-platformer community. The level design is so good. Sometimes I have to question what makes some platformers good and others not, but this is like the purest essence of whatever that good stuff is. The controls never feel deceptive and I never felt like a death wasn’t my fault. Even if I did, the levels are the perfect length. I was skeptical of one-screen levels at first, but they actual vary greatly in size. No screen is ever arbitrarily sized either. The developer knows exactly what he’s doing and how much space to give the player.

Micro Platformer

Micro Platformer

This game is one of the best platformers I’ve played. Here’s why:

1. This game is like many platformers, minus the BS. Sick of enemies whose movements are hard to control or predict? Sick of sitting around, waiting for frustrating cycles which make every death feel like a massive waste of time? My two favourite games of all-time on Steam, Celeste and Super Meat Boy, both drove me insane with features like these. This game is the first proper platformer I’ve played which doesn’t, and it’s made me realize just how much I hated those sections in both of those games. You respawn near-instantly, and it’s just pure precision platforming. No BS, no cycles, no enemies, no missiles or lasers or RNG. It’s just you versus the game.

This game is great. It has its goods and its bads though. First of all I want to praise its simplistic aesthetic, a black background with simple levels. There is no sound in this game so you can you put music on listen to that whilst playing or put a video on in the background and just have a nice stress-free time.

The bad thing is that level 1, the tutorial, and level 2 (there is nothing wrong with these levels) is nice and relaxing but then it just switches to level 3 which is a big difficulty change taking me personally a while to complete it also has to many stages to get through for a third level. If I was the developer I would put a level in between 2 & 3 and I feel like when playing both of those levels that’s when level 3 will become easier to complete.

Saw that this Game is finally released, so i bought it for my new Video :)

You can see it later on Youtube, when i’m finish my editing.

To the Game:

Really cool rhythmic Game with some twists. I really like that it’s not instantly on an easy mode, but you rather start on a regular difficulty. The Music is awesome to listen to, what makes me more smile when doing mistakes then actual raging for my fails.

To the Developers (If you haven’t checked the Video):

Please make a Windowed Mode (Or Windowed without Borders Mode)

TL;DR

OneJump is based on a good concept but falls short in terms of execution. It just lacks the necessary polish and does nothing good enough to justify playing it.

Gameplay

OneJump is extremely simple and easy to understand. You move a block to the left or right on a line and have to hit targets via jumping. A jump that does not connect with a target will end the current run. Later on, obstacles will start to fall randomly, and hitting them also equals death.

The game is really wonderful, it has nice music and beautiful retro graphics! If you concentrate a little, you have a small chance of making it into the ranking Top 10 … I love it 3

In similar vein to games like Super Hexagon, 140, Gauge and Duet, oO is a minimalistic game with simple objectives and simple controls - on the surface. But while things may look easy enough at first glance, the challenge comes in mastering the sparse mechanics you are given to get past whatever sadistic obstacles oO’s glowing, circular world cares to throw in your direction.

With ever more complex patterns to overcome and a faster and faster rate of play, the simple “push space to flip” mechanic might only be one button but will eventually build to challenge even the fastest of reflexes. You will die again, and again, and again

! and again, and again, and again, and again, and again; but unlike some other punishing titles of similar ilk, the deaths here don’t tend to feel cheap. You’ll always know why you died, and what you need to do to avoid death next time.

Too frustrating to be much fun. I do like the deceptively-simple concept and the wobbly-screen mode you can unlock each time you clear a level… but the overall charm wears off very quickly. It doesn’t take long for things to start to feel mindless, and this is not the kind of game where mindless gameplay will get you anywhere.

I’m surprised at the glowing reviews this game has gotten. (And of course anyone who doesn’t recommend the game gets slammed with downvotes, I’m sure I’ll be no different.) Scrolling through the positive reviews, hardly any of the users seem to have played for more than a couple hours - probably because the ragequit is strong with this one; I imagine many of these people played it once and haven’t touched it since - so again, it’s tough to understand the positive feedback. For the novelty, sure. Everything else… hm.
