Amberial Dreams

Amberial Dreams

In the long gone days of 2007, Amberial landed on the indie Flash gaming scene, and over the course of 4 games accumulated over 2 million players! 15 years later, Amberial Dreams brings the series back with a bang, boasting a brand-new engine, more contraptions than ever before, but the same basic premise: only two buttons to move, no jumping allowed.

The Avatar can only roll left and right, but that does not mean it can’t make impressive feats of traversal! Every surface in the world reacts to you and helps you gain momentum. You can get anywhere you want, as long as you don’t stop rolling.

Amberial Dreams features beautiful and diverse environments where its platforming action unfolds. From bright bubblegum skies to the deepest pits in which you are the only light source, all the way to biomes in which all color has been extinguished.

Do you love a good story filled with secrets, lore and unique characters? We’ve got you covered!

Would you rather focus on speed running your way to the top of the leaderboards? We also have you covered!

From the start, we’ve aimed to offer a good experience to all types of players. If you want to experience a sprawling narrative about the consequences of your dreams, it’s right there, presented by surprising characters with partial voice acting and much to tell you. Uncover lore hidden in the environment and understand the secrets of the galaxy of Dew’s Vision.

You’d rather bounce your way to first place in one of our wickedest levels? No problem, just press the skip button when a cutscene starts and move right along, you won’t be penalized, and the game’s open-ended approach to levels will never leave you lost.

It is our belief that you should be able to build any level we can, and why not, do even better! Our fully featured editor incorporates all game pieces, per-piece coloring, per-piece depth sorting, interactable switches, portals, paths for object movement, as well as convenient features such as multi-select, undo and redo. The editor is constantly updated based on community feedback!

Join our official Discord server! Most of our development is done together with our players. You are the ones we are building this for, after all!

Hoplegs

After spending hours playing the game and completing “The Peak” I have to say this is one of my favorite physic based platformers. The amount of times i’ve fallen and had to start over again was insane but Hoplegs had me coming back for more. There is a really gratifying feeling every time you get past a roadblock that you’ve been stuck on for some time.

The game will only continue to improve and add more content. Personally I can’t wait to see what is in store for the future of the game. (Maybe a Peak v2 who knows??)

I am usually not a fan of games with very little room for error, but Hoplegs is absolutely the exception. What I absolutely love is that that there’s something for everyone. The learning curve is nice and steady at the start so players have the chance to practice getting used to the controls, but The Peak was tailored made for die hard fans of the rage game genre. The tutorials are straightforward, and the aesthetic makes it very enjoyable to continuously play, despite mistakes that put you back. I also LOVE that there’s a level editor available for fans to make their very own levels. Everything about this game makes the “suffering” you go through an enjoyable experience. I’m really excited to see the future of Hoplegs. 10/10

Based on his previous adventures, the further down one goes, the more danger will arise. So, let’s help this little fellow reach the Cup of Eternity in Infinitrap: Rehamstered.

--- Very fun yet hard game!!! *– [Real player with 3.1 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198063596084)* --- ![Quible Sphere](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/840380/header.jpg "") ## Quible Sphere I'm fucking addicted *– [Real player with 12.9 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198345527619)* A very fun game. It's a challenging platformer, that doesn't alow you to jump, and you have to rely on ball physics to do any tricks. Roll around, dodging obstacles, and beat the stage as fast as you can. It becomes adicting to beat a stage very fast, especially when you notice speedrun tactics by yourself, and you get a pretty good time. Depending on your skill, this game can take anywhere from 2-15+ hours to beat.(first time playthrough that is) But if this game gets enough people to play it, the custom levels will also add even MORE hours to it. *– [Real player with 2.5 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198031386945)* --- ![Straima](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/399140/header.jpg "") ## Straima At first I was put off that Straima had multiplayer with up to four players and imagined that the game was built around that and would offer a subpar single-player experience; I was wrong. Straima is an extremely difficult platformer set up with over 100 bite-sized stages. Each stage consists of a single, non-scrolling map that loops on each side. Focusing on a small space allows the level design to be very meaningful and not filled with fluff. A few stages even offer nods to other games such as Tetris, Frogger, or VVVVV. The main goal for each stage is to squash every pink blob (pinkie) on the screen. There are also two side-goals for each stage; finish within a certain time and/or without dying. The game tracks your progress for the side-goals in the form of gold trophies next to the level on the menu and these goals can be met on separate runs. Most stages have a target time between 20-60 seconds. One might think that this is worrying for game length, but Straima offers excellent replayability. *– [Real player with 22.8 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198036117725)* A really fun game for all you masochistic platformer-players out there. How I see it, everything about it is great. The level variety, adventure mode's added depth, the runner mode, the level editor, and I bet multiplayer would be great too if I had people to play it with. Remember your ledge-grab and wall-jump. Also remember that grabbing ledges restores your double-jump, and a jump from a ledge-grab works like a wall-jump, except that wall-jumps do not restore your double-jump, meaning that if you have already double-jumped since the last time you touched the ground, you can not double-jump from a wall like you could from a grabbed ledge. Also remember that double jumps (and stomps) undo unwanted vertical momentum should something try to rocket you into an unhealthy dose of die. Also remember that a few stages give you extra, and sometimes infinite, mid-air jumps, as indicated on your power-select screen, which also indicates when there's low gravity. And note that there's a lot more to this game than just jumping. *– [Real player with 14.6 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198288692181)* --- ![The Colorful Creature](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1651680/header.jpg "") ## The Colorful Creature Really good game, been here for awhile and can say this is a banger. If you like challenging games I honestly think this is a really good choice, but its your option! *– [Real player with 46.0 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198267231838)* an amazing game to be honest, i really like its difficulty, and the concept by itself where you have to go on certain colors to advance, i'd highly reccomend this game if you like platformers, truly amazing imo *– [Real player with 10.3 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198260564505)* --- ![MakerKing](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1518440/header.jpg "") ## MakerKing first off, i've been playing this game for around 2 years now, and seeing how much it's grown over this time is genuinely awesome, and with it being on steam now i can only imagine how much better it'll get as the playerbase gets larger. the game is really fun for both casual and competitive players, and the level editor gives you a ton of creative freedom, especially with the new electric update, although it's a bit confusing, maybe a guide on it would help. sometimes there's fun events like races and contests in the official discord, and hopefully if the community grows enough they'll be a bit more regular. the currently only dev working on this game interacts with the community a lot and is very transparent as well which is really nice. *– [Real player with 8.6 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198144559058)* **_In short, making a game within a game._** You can design your own maps as you can play on maps made by others, and I think it's more fun to design maps than to play. It takes some practice to get used to the game mechanics, but you get used to it in less time. It can be a bug or kick it out of the game just because the game is newer. I know it will be fixed soon. It's really fun to come up with something new. *– [Real player with 1.9 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198805496446)* --- ![Super Mega Zero](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1581880/header.jpg "") ## Super Mega Zero Miss **Undefined** has been whisked away by the dastardly **Kill Screen**. Go from **Zero** to Hero in this fast-paced platformer, chasing time, the high score and eventually the Kill Screen itself. ![](https://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1581880/extras/steam1.gif?t=1636457211) Super Mega Zero is a tight precision and puzzle platformer with shoot 'em up elements. Simply touch an upgrade and switch _forms_ to go from classic, straight-forward platforming to the more puzzle-like _action number_ system or Shoot' Em Up gameplay. Stick to one or mix them together all in a single level! Features * Challenge hundreds of handcrafted levels with a mix of platforming, puzzles and shoot 'em up gameplay. * Arcade esthetics that bring you back to the 80s * A banger chiptune soundtrack * Collectable Pi:s (aka the tastiest number) --- ![The Lost Marble](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1313640/header.jpg "") ## The Lost Marble This game is really fun, just feels really good to play. It's highly centered around speedrunning, when you start trying to beat the levels as fast as possible then it really shines. Plus its got a level editor so that's pretty neat. *– [Real player with 118.8 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198295906992)* Simple platformer, but good. There's a decent amount of weight and momentum to your movement that makes the movement feel satisfying. *– [Real player with 25.8 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198011212278)* --- ![DDraceNetwork](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/412220/header.jpg "") ## DDraceNetwork a game like no other - basically the premise is that you're a tee and your goal is to reach the finish on whatever map you're playing. there's tons of maps all by different people so there's always something to explore. there's tons of special mechanics too, and the more you improve the more things you learn. in this game, there are these blocks called "freeze blocks" that make you unable to move. you can play with friends who can help you pass the level. there's tons of insane clutch moments where only one guy isn't in the freeze and he/she has to help everyone out - it can be really intense. *– [Real player with 2020.8 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198397525109)* Probably one of my favorite games. Very rewarding once you get into it, but it can be very challenging and frustrating, especially when you're starting to learn the mechanics. There are a lot of little nuances which can be challenging to get used to. Even after 500 hours, I don't feel as though I'm even close to scratching the surface of what this game has to offer. There are many game modes, some more casual than others, but if you have a group of friends to play with it's a great time. If you don't have a group of friends, then you'll have a pretty easy time of making some in-game. Most everyone's nice and willing to help you. If you play enough, you'll get to know most people and they'll get to know you. Be patient with this game, it's worth it if you give it some time. *– [Real player with 530.8 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198040992188)* ---
