HAAK

HAAK

Only about 3 hours of content if you not doing side-quests and trinket hunting, but overall I think the game could be decent, mainly I just want more locations and the exploration should be more exciting. Technically the game could pass as a metroidvania, even though it’s pretty linear for the first 60 minutes, once you unlock the heavy attack it will have more freedom. Stylistically, the game has a lot going on, it feels like a mixture of precision platformer, puzzle platformer and cinematic platformer with the whole ledge grabbing, but generally, I would say the level design feels very puzzle-oriented. I actually like its simple combat mechanics with a slash attack and directional lash, but the enemy design does not take full advantage of it, I think the game could use more agile humanoid enemies. There is only one proper boss fight which I did enjoy because it was very centred around dodging and following up, I think the game needs more of that.

Really beautiful and smooth gameplay. I was hesitant on the game but the trailer caught my eye. Getting my hands on it initially I loved how balanced and smooth the game felt when I was playing. Really gives me a hollow knight or steamworld dig feel to it. I’m excited to get updates on it for the story to continue throughout the months.

Disgusting. I absolutely love it so far.

For reals though, I’d definitely recommend this game if not just for how vile and gross it is. Puking, peeing, and crapping on enemies is incredibly fun! Definitely not a platformer for children!

Fantastic jump and pee game. Well balanced gameplay with the opportunity for awesome superruns. If you manage the double jump and slide move right you can super fast travel the level architecture. Scorefreaks will freak out too (combomoves possible), The soundtrack is also brilliant (metal and some 80ies italian horroflicklike musicstyle (john carpenter score).

The graphics remind me of some 90ies amiga games.

Gory like doom and disgusting like boogerman.

I have battlefield 1 and titanfall 2 on my hdd but i prefer to play another short round of atomic butcher. ;)

Deadlight

Deadlight

Now, where I have played Deadlight until the 100%-mark and having done everything that could be achieved, the only thing that is missing until completion is a detailed review containing the impressions I gathered over that journey.

First of all, success is what I link with Deadlight. There I few games I brought the courage to play until exhaustion and with Deadlight happened exactly that. I am a platformer enthusiast but the few I played have usually been abandoned because I coudn’t take the challenge. In my Zombie-hype phase, but even after it, Deadlight kept me fascinated with the fantastic graphic design and the well composed Soundtrack, I have reviewed seperately. With that being said, Deadlight has acoustically and visually definately been mastered and is therefore absolutely worth the purchase.

“It’s All Fun And Games Until You Get Bitten”

‘Deadlight’ is a visually stunning, wonderfully atmospheric, survival horror 2.5-D Platformer which raises the bar for the genre in some respects, but then also stumbles in others – resulting in a generally fun, if confoundingly uneven escape from reality.

Campaign: Developed by Tequila Works | Microsoft Studios and released in late-2012, the game drops you into the shoes of Randall Wayne, a US Park Ranger on a desperate search for his missing family in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. Each level takes you across a fantastic imagining of a post-apocalyptic Seattle (circa 1986), featuring both indoor, outdoor and underground elements, with hauntingly beautiful backdrops making for some of the best visuals, atmosphere and tone in recent gaming memory.

I bought this game on apr 6 and just got around to playing it. The controls are fine its just that you get stuck on almost all the objects and when I made it to lvl 2 or the woods area.. I couldn’t interact with any of the intractable objects. So I tried to reboot the game and my PC to no a vale. Overall if my game actually worked I would rate this a 6-10 just because it looks so cool with all the robots and the Wall-E type of feel I got from it, but it just sucks that my game got stuck like that. So if you plan to buy it just take this into account. Peace and love to the developers.

Interesting art style and concept however the finished package that’s delivered for us to play is not fully developed and comes off as a bit bland. Not worth playing. Also, really should have picked a more unique name so it can even show up in the Steam search. Only reason why I found it was because of a direct link in a random discussion somewhere.

Damn Ropes

Damn Ropes

Damn Ropes is this one hard game nobody wants to play because it’s too difficult a challenge but you play it anyway (just don’t tell anyone you play on the ‘Not So Hard’ mode).

You want your own NPC in the game? Join our Discord for more info on this!

There’s no running and jumping in this platformer game. Use your rope to swing from platform to platform. Perform impressive maneuvers, beat diverse challenges and speedrun your way through each level. Oh, did I mention you can fall all the way down to the beginning of each level?

Ah yes. Story. There is a story in this game. There’s actually a pretty deep story in here. But we can’t just throw massive dialogues at you while you try not to fall down. Pay attention to the background and other small details to understand the lore and deeper meaning of the games story. Or don’t. It’s up to you!

So you’re a fan of torturing yourself so you speedrun every single game you can find? Good thing we prepared the game for you! There’s a timer for every level as well as a global timer to track your records. The obvious route to the goal is not always the fastest one (spoiler: It never is).

So the game isn’t difficult enough for you? Then try activating a challenge. Or two. Or all of them. There are challenges like the ‘The Floor Is Not Lava But Very Dangerous’ challenge where you’ve to reach the goal without touching the ground. Or the ‘Your Rope Isn’t As Good As It Should Be’ challenge where you can’t expand or decrease it. If you can beat the whole game with every single challenge activated at once you gained our deepest respect.

We want to create a difficult game, but we also want everyone to enjoy it. So we implemented the ‘Not So Hard’ mode (it just sounds less rude than easy mode). This mode helps a lot when you’ve trouble beating the game. It’s easier to hit the environment with your rope and you can expand and decrease it further.

Fist of the Forgotten

Fist of the Forgotten

Fist of the Forgotten is a platformer set in a harsh, dark world, but that doesn’t mean you’re helpless. Relics passed down from your family allow you to interact with forgotten technology and fight your way forward.

Make your way through a forgotten civilization, facing ancient automatons, and acquire some of their technology.

3D assets and high framerate physics allow for perfectly smooth, fluid animation, even on monitors that display at 100hz. Mechanics in the game, such as sliding down slopes and grappling allow you to build up and maintain momentum.

Fist of the Forgotten’s narrative contains no dialogue, so you are free to pay attention to the details to understand the depth of the story, try to uncover alternate endings, or simply focus on flowing through the levels as quickly as possible and enjoy the gameplay.

The fist provides combat capabilities as well as movement. Use it to reach further platforms and combine it with other momentum gaining abilities, such as sliding down hills, to cover extreme gaps.

Humanless

Humanless

Play as a super skilled combatant, with superhuman speed and agility. Fight against merciless demons, while dashing and jumping to dodge evil traps through carefully designed levels.

Infinite ammunition always

The focus of Humanless is on the fun of shooting and platforming. You don’t need to save the ammo of your favorite weapon: pull the trigger as much as you wish and have fun watching low resolution demons being shattered to pieces.

Fast and responsive movements on the controller that suits you best

Enemies shooting with a real intention to kill and pits of acid waiting to be jumped through will require of you a lot of dexterity. For this reason, Humanless allows you to play both on the joystick or using the keyboard and mouse.

Carefully designed levels

Each level was carefully designed and tested to be unique, fun and challenging yet fair. Checkpoints after each section ensure that your progress will never be lost.

20 Levels distributed in three episodes

Start in a devastated city, enter questionable military research labs, and attempt to finish your journey going down to the hell itself.

An elegant action platformer

No walls of text of story. No infinite repetitions of the same section of a level. In Humanless, each level is unique and brings something new, providing an experience that stays fresh throughout the whole game.
