This is a great game. Survive against mutated humans, creature, bears, wolves etc. The crafting system is incredible, very elaborate & well thought out, also with the newly added trader system. Work out how to craft scrap metal to make the game easier to survive. Building is enjoyable also but you can live in the RV at the spawn location & place objects inside. Congratulations to the Developer Sydney Games for producing this game.

after playing the game for a while i have to say my honest opinions on pros and cons firstly picking up stones and harvesting trees i didn’t actually find any issue with apart from the fact the rectile has to be facing the stones and the tree which is a little off putting as the rectile isn’t centred its slightly off to the right the only other issue ive found is the ambient noise of the birds does not lower even when the ambience is set to 0 i find it a little discouraging that the game forces you to play a female and in the options it doesn’t allow to switch game modes as stated on the plus side the games fluidity is awesome there are no lag spikes and the water effects are absolutely awesome i have noticed upon opening the crates by the tent the character makes a noise as if shes hurt herself im working on a ps4 and xbox controler layout for the game as i havnt found anyone that has yet made one everything else works well apart from those few issue as a ex developer myself i have to say for early access this game seems so fluid imersing and above all else realy nice to play i can recomend this game but will say this when it states early access you have to accept the above issues after all this is why the dev needs feed back from the gamers i have stated in a post to the dev that it would be a good idea to put out a testing branch before release of the game updates to allow players to test the game before release that way the above issues can be caught before hand on the whole how would i rate this game as it is

I was looking for a new game after 7DTD, Ark, Conan and others. I started on day one of the release without no guide and only my best gamer buddy with me. We now have 56 hours into the game and have mastered it. The game is beautiful. My character is a dude who looks like the love child of VinDesiel and MarkWalberg. He starts in world wearing nothing but his shorts and carrying a cigarette lighter. The hunger and thirst and health bars are clearly visible on the screen as well as a quick pick number inventory. The first tool to craft is a stone pick and hit some bushes or trees. Standing in water increases thirst (hydration). Finding clothing, med kits and food is not difficult. Weapons can be crafted in the crafting bench. Make a shelter or find a tent. Be sure to E on it to set spawn point. The building system works well but after that I’m not left with a lot to do. Survival is the only goal.

SURVIVAL: Postapocalypse Now

SURVIVAL: Postapocalypse Now

Hi there, as you may have already noticed, I have clocked into this game well over 100 hours. I have been playing this game since early development and have seen the many “improvements” that have been made by developers. However, there is one thing that I need to address, one thing that really upsets me about the recent update you made (2 months ago) with starting off each user in a Prison.

Take into consideration the element of simplicity, prior to when you implemented the Prison into the game, the game was simple, me and my friend had a favored area that had a church, several small houses, a wood factory and what looked to be a temple. Roaming around this area, meeting newcomers and inviting them into our journeys or killing them on the spot was the thing that made this game great. But you completely removed that, and it hasn’t been the same since.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME

History of this game as I know it:

Beta: the devs release an open world survival game set in siberia, it is developed to near completion and is a fun game although still has some quirks that need to be worked out.

Summer version: Instead of fixing the game that already exists the devs decide that they want to make a WHOLE NEW GAME that occurs in the summer ( previous game was in winter) so do they take the previous game and reskin the terrain in summer green instead of artic snow? HELL NO they create an ENTIRELY NEW GAME that runs like crap because the whole map is covered with flowers that move in the wind, and devs obviously still havn’t figure out how occlusion works. This version goes over like a lead baloon and in response devs DELETE THE ENTIRE FORUM! then they “re-release” the old version, which still works ok but they don’t fix the bugs that people have known about for ever.

I appreciate all the hard work the Devs have been putting into the game. I cannot wait for the new item system and storage. As of right now this game is def worth a buy but please be aware that right now the game is mostly just exploring and PVP.

The first 50 hours or so, will be exploring the wonderful, pretty, immersive world that the Devs have created. After that, all you will be doing is walking the map ( or camping a certain spot of the map which is weak, but w/e) for people to shoot. Trust me, I have over 1k hours in the game, and I have been PVPing like crazy. One thing that blows me away in this game is the water Physics. When you shoot the water, you can see it tread, and you can see the bullet wiz through the water. Amazing Yoo.

The Fifth Day

The Fifth Day

I think this game’s community is practically gone at this stage, too few updates changing too little in such a long measure of time. Just about the entirity of the updates that have happened can be summed up in ‘several new gun parts, unimplemented mechanics development and minor bugfixing’

It saddens me to see such a game with such potential just die out becuase the dev doesn’t have a team backing them.

The multiplayer is dead after a year after nothing happening, the servers are completely empty, the multiplayer tasks simply can’t be completed anymore, etc etc.

YES I AM AWARE THAT IT IS EARLY ACCESS - NOT FINISHED! IF YOU LIKE IT, KUDOS TO YOU. BUT NOTE I AM NOT YOU.

I really tried to like this game, it felt like it could be something special even if it was really F-ing hard. But as the game is now, I can’t play it without feeling increasingly frustrated at nearly every aspect of the game.

Yes, its a good game, it held on to me for almost a week, but my patience for it has ended, and I just can’t play this anymore.

Pros:

  • Crafting - Done in two ways, one by assembling tools & guns through your inventory screen (provided you have the parts), the other through some machine that cannot be moved or made (luckily there’s more than one).

Scraplers

Scraplers

I think the idea is nice, and also the game implementation is not bad (given the very low price). It sure lacks improvements in many areas and also a few basic items (I couldn’t even find a way to exit the game or go back to starting menu, there isn’t a command/key list). The main problem, even given the fair price, is that to me the game is too grindy even from the starting point; I’ve played maybe 6 or 7 games in 3 hours, and never managed to gain enough money to do anything before dying against a swarm of 3-4 tanks or a huge one that easily absorbed my shots before transforming my little machine in a pile of fuming scraps… After death you go back to the starting camp in an even shittier situation, stuck in a tiny machine with no weapons and no way to survive. I think the combat itself is good, landing a nice shot while evading enemy tanks is somewhat rewarding, but the cost of repairs, fuel and ammo easily eats most of the money gained, and the repetition of combats, deaths and having to restart from the beginning made me gave up on the game.

Scraplers, what is there to say about this title.

I think the dev team wanted to create a steam punk pirate game.

You own a landship, which have properties(guns placement and troop carrying capacity),

and you raid around to get bigger a boat and have more troop capacity.

The concept is interesting.

Sadly, at this point in the development,

there doesn’t seem to be something to do with those mechanics.

You can grind to get bigger boat but beyond that the world is bare.

System to raise relations with NPC are in place

30 days to survive

30 days to survive

Bought the game on sale, and honestly enjoyed it. Not just because it was cheap, but it’s a challenging game, with simple graphics. There are a few bugs that I’ve encountered, and the RNG could use some tuning up(I got a bear as my very first enemy, and that peashooter doesnt do enough to kill it), but it has potential. It’s not a bad game, its more of an RNG side scroller.

The bugs so far

What looks like a combat shotgun, if picked up, can be picked up multiple times, and bugs the inventory to the point of game crash.

Real player with 6.1 hrs in game

30 days to survive is a zombie survival, side scrolling platformer. It’s the first of its kind that I’ve seen personally. At the very least the devs should be commended for attempting it. The physics are a little wonky, but it fits well with its blocky, Lego-man-esque art style.

The controls and game mechanics take some getting used to. Right out of the gate can be pretty unforgiving. With its quick hunger and energy depletion, coupled with zombies that get little to no knockback from attacks. The items are RNG heavy, so you can get very unlucky with starving to death or losing the ability to run and jump. Progression hinges upon using the save function at your house to build up an arsenal of gear to survive with. It can be easily exploited by save scumming, but to some degree you kind of have to in order to live beyond 5 stages away from home. There is a sewer system that you can discover that acts as a sort of checkpoint system. There is a taxi that can appear randomly which you use to fast travel home. For the most part though, the further away from home you go, the further you have to walk back. Items respawn after moving two stages beyond, so you have a chance to find enough food and energy to make the journey back. Enemies respawn as well though, so it isn’t an easy decision to risk the journey.

After nearly 90 hours and having seen the game to its completion, I’m finally comfortable editing in a final review.

Pros:

–- The game’s description and screenshots are very accurate for what you’re getting here: an expansive open-universe RPG with the look and feel of an old action-adventure SNES game.

— Among the biggest selling points for After the End continues to be developer interaction. Throughout the early access period and post-release, The Sworn has consistently been available to field questions and bug reports in the forums. I very much value this!

UPDATED REVIEW:

In a time of loot box gambling and unfulfilled promises many devs have been screwing over customers so it’s nice to see

an early access dev actually keep true to their promises and finish their game. This game has a couple of small issues, but what it does achieve is

so fun and refreshing that it is worth peoples attention.

I originally played through and finished the game during its 0.08 alpha.

It was prety different but i loved it! You can read my original review under this one.

Outback Survival

Outback Survival

Outback Survival is a survival game made using the Unreal engine.

I think the game I could compare it to the most would be The Forest, but they’re completely different games. In The Forest, the emphasis is on exploration and melee combat. In Outback Survival, the emphasis is on crafting and ranged combat.

I’m not going to keep comparing the two games, apart from mentioning that Outback Survival is still being worked on (unlike The Forest).

The title is a bit of a misnomer, because you have the entire map of Australia to adventure in! The capital cities are represented by lootable towns, which is a nice touch.

I’m fairly new to survival games, just shy of 2 years of playing things like Rust, Scum, Conan etc. This particular game needs some love in regards to mechanics

AI: there’s a lot…. for no gain. bandits leave you nothing but low on ammo and health. and there’s the amount. not hard not fun but frustratingly annoying.

resource gathering: animations are clunky and slow. almost a minute to take down a large tree or rock. ya i get the realismishism it just needs to be tightned up

keybinds on mouse n keyboard it’s either everthing on the left wasd qer h v c b z shift control and tab…. reaching over to get to i for inventory ya that’s a booger and no way to change it in keybinds?

I started to play this game on Android. But I was not good at moving and aiming with my thumbs while shooting the zombies. So, I was glad to see the game was available as a F2P on Steam and went on with it on the PC version instead.

The F2P aspect of the game is less invasive on the PC than on the mobile version. There, I could fully enjoy the game ; its story, its absurd humour, its even more absurd quests, and its full voice acting cutscenes, without any adds blocking up my screen everytime I checked my inventory.
