41 Hours

41 Hours

Serious Sam… with a weird girl following you around

Pros: Good graphics

Gun modifications

Open World

The bullet-time is pretty dope

Some RPG elements

Cons: The RPG elements (skills, leveling, etc.) can be a lot better

Mindless waves of enemies spawning all around you

Needs more guns (like a sniper, shotgun, hand cannon, etc.)

Enemies have aim-bot like a mofo

The building mechanic needs work, as it’s unwieldy

Is it the best game ever? No… but is Serious Sam the best game ever? No, it’s not either. I’d really just compare this game to being a slightly worse Serious Sam… so for the price, it’s good if you’re looking for a game similar to Serious Sam.

41hrs Review

Its hard to give a review for this game as i did receive it for free via gift purchase from my brother and also this a game made by a small team and by what i can see and feel when playing the game they did not have a AAA budget.

So i finished the game on the pro skill level took me just over 7hrs to finish but keep in mind i have played tons of first person shooters and tend to finish games quite quick. I liked the game it has some frustrating moments which i will get too but overall its quite decent and for $20 bucks aussie dollars its not bad value.

1971 PROJECT HELIOS

I just have finished the game.

Is easy to see that the developers have given everything to make this game a very good one. The plot is incredibly good, the mechanics agroup all what you wish and even more in a strategy game, and the levels are really immersive (I love the cold effect in the screen).

I really recommend to play it, this game absolutely deserves the price that it has.

A title that could serve as a welcome to new players to the strategy 3D turn-based combat. Encounters are short and sweet, requiring a decent amount of strategic thinking, without reaching desperation or those odd “I’m lost” moments.

Story is quite engaging, and the characters that go along with it are charming and interesting. Recommended!

I played a lot with this game because the victorian style steam punk world created in this game is very interesting. The quality of the graphics is not on the same level as the top games but it is well made with a good atmosphere.

The gameplay is the same old rpg feeling, with party, movement, action (fights and dialogs), collecting loot, get stronger. The story is interesting, the setting is exciting.

Real player with 870.9 hrs in game

Borderline recommendation. The negative reviewers are not wrong - it is clunky and linear, the combat is unsatisfying, there is a lot hinted at but never realized. It’s not just poorly documented but a lot of the skills you’ll bother developing are never actually used. I suspect they planned a much bigger game and had to dramatically scale back. They aimed for Wasteland 2 and fell a bit short of Shadowrun.

Having said that I wasn’t actually bored and that’s my line for recommending. I finish all games in order to provide a fair and detailed review on my site and in this case I didn’t have to force myself. The story is cliche but well written and brisk, you get new guns and characters throughout and constantly change maps. The combat improves to passable and some of the missions are interesting. It did enough to engage me and with the lovely setting that gets a pass.

Absolutely amazing game! I loved every second of it. The game play is smooth and fun, and the characters as well as the story are very beautifully written. I highly recommend giving this game a try!

Real player with 19.7 hrs in game

Finishing Fleshport took me about 9 hours, but I’m very slow and check every detail twice. This game had me hooked from beginning to end. Even with the small RPG Maker window size, I had the feeling that I was traversing through some supernatural landscape with its own people and customs. The characters are both unsettling and charming.

The design in some parts of the game are confusing, with doors that are hard to notice and details that are easy to miss. There was one puzzle in particular I could only figure out after interacting with every object and smooshing my face against every wall. There are also some bugs, especially with the chase mechanics, but nothing game-breaking. I fully recommend this weird, weird game.

After watching the trailer I wasn’t sure about purchasing this game right at the release. I couldn’t really tell if it was an open world survival game or a small linear style game. Also I couldn’t find any videos online from gamer’s reviewing it. I gave it a shot and really liked it so far. It is more of a open world game. It feels very much like a winter STALKER atmosphere. There is a Story mode which isn’t available yet which I’m looking forward to checking out. From what I’ve seen so far this looks really good. Here’s a link to my review on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IDEgdqiO-o

So, let me start off by saying that I love the S.T.A.L.K.E.R Series. This is what lead to me giving this game my $10. The atmosphere of the game is good, not great, but I like it enough to preface it. The gun-play feels solid, lowish recoil and high damage as a gun should be. It is the ultimate equalizer after all. The game features a low but diverse cast of weapons like the AK74M, the AKS-74U, the 9x18 Makarov, a strange looking shotgun that reminds me of a Winchester Model 1200, I believe a Mosin-Nagant as I found 7.62x54r ammo on a soldier but haven’t actually seen the rifle, and finally a crowbar. (And to the people that will comment saying “It’S aN aK, iT hAs HiGh ReCoIl”, both variations of the AK Platform in this game run off of 5.45x39 ammunition, which is functionally similar to the 5.56 NATO cartridge, resulting in similar recoil. So get f*cked nerd)

ESCAPE FROM VOYNA: Tactical FPS survival

ESCAPE FROM VOYNA: Tactical FPS survival

this game sucks

do’s and don’ts if you still wanna buy:

  • do always run to the right edge of each map and just go forward, this way you avoid most enemies and reach the exit of the level.

  • don’t try to screenshot, the game will instantly crash

  • don’t try to walk in water, you will be locked in place and will have to restart the map

  • don’t complete any mission as you will have to restart the entire game to progress as the mouse disappears.

it took me 1.3hrs to complete this mess even with all the bugs involved

Zombies In The Dark

Zombies In The Dark

2.5/10

From time to time, I like to take a chance on a super-cheap indie title that I find on Steam. I generally like top-down shooters and spooky games, so Zombies in the Dark fit the bill. Although I saw a few negative reviews, these were from when the game was in early access. I had hoped that the most prominent issues were fixed by the time the 1.0 release rolled around.

Unfortunately, I was incorrect. There are a lot of issues here that make Zombies in the Dark unpleasant to play:

I bought this game when it was on sale, It was interesting to play and it does remind me of the old resident evil games with the fixed point of view. I know its in early access, I’m hoping for more to be added.

The controls are very sensitive and it makes it a little hard to play. Its best to use the keyboard and mouse instead of the controller. I got further with the PC controls than I did with the console controls.

I like the old style of the game, so I’m not complaining.

The Descendant

The Descendant

The Descendant is a futuristic point ’n click video story and somehow an adventure game. As a matter of fact The Descendant is more of an interactive movie.

General informations about the thumb down:

The Descendant is one of those games that would require a neutral mark. Sadly I reckon that the down sides outnumber the positive aspects of this alleged adventure game.

One should pay more attention to the story-rich tag, which often means not much of a real gameplay and lack of challenge.
