The Great C

The Great C

This short adventure cinematic is well-made, though it has some of that “indie” charm to remind that it has been made by a small team of enthusiasts, rather than a heavy-hitter like ILMxLab. Most of the characters' animations are motion-captured performances, though there are plenty of character movements that are stilted and robotic, which were obviously manually-animated. The characters are cartoony, but expressive. And don’t let the character designs fool you… this story is not for young children.

Not quite long enough to be called a movie and not quite short enough as the Google spotlight shorts. At 38 minutes long it’s almost as long as an episode of most series.

The story is good and the actors are quite believable. Graphically it looks a lot like Telltale (rip) games. Which kinda makes me sad that I’ll never see that studio dive into VR.

VR cinematic experiences are quite new and there is a lot of experimentation involved. Some of it really works, like the building case scene, where trying to follow both characters creates tension, or the final confrontation, where the scale of C really can be appreciated. Some of it doesn’t, like suddenly you feel like an ant watching giants and the next moment a giant watching ants. But that cam be expected in such a new medium.

The Patcher: The 1st Open Beta

The Patcher: The 1st Open Beta

“The Patcher” is a full-scale tactical multi-player action VR game.

Be strong! Be ambitious!

You must choose a faction – either ‘Junkmol’ or ‘Skymagg’ – as a Patcher of the Neo JS City. By fighting numerous battles, you will obtain weapons, revamp them, and gain experience. Every weapon and skill have degree of proficiency as you play, so you’ll get stronger as you level up.

Hybrid Multi-play

Don’t forget that you’re one of the factions, even if you fight against monsters on the battlefield. Cooperate with your fellow Patchers! If you succeed in defeating a mighty monster with others, you might get a chance to obtain a rare item. However, when you come across an opponent of the other faction, it’s best to attack right away or retreat and bring in your allies. Your instant decision is critical in each battle.

Various Game Modes

The war between two factions ends only when one side ultimately falls. Get ready for the best result!

  • ‘Deathmatch’: Create a party to fight the other faction.

  • ‘Conquest War’: Occupy the enemy’s territories for as long as possible, by any means.

  • ‘Boss Raid’: Defeat the giant boss with your party members. However, you’re not the only hunters there. Compete with the other faction for the throat of the boss.

Strategic Action Combat

Since the past, the Patchers have fought strategically with three weapons: a sword, gun, and bow. Of course, each weapon has its own characteristics, but you must find which one works best for you and become skillful at using it. The weight, reach, accuracy, and control of each weapon is vastly different and is key to your tactics.

The Storyline of “the Patcher”

_‘Neo JS City’ was once the most beautiful city, and there was a reason for it. The upper classes wanted to get rid of anything they saw as dirty and trivial. That’s why they decided to move all the unpleasant facilities – like the sewage treatment plant and the prison – underground.

Meanwhile, some people illegally and secretly settled in these underground facilities. Their habitation was called the ‘Patch Build’, and they called themselves the ‘Patchers’.

But the environment around the Patch Build was more severe than they expected. Survival got harder and harder. This caused a rupture in the community. Some said pioneering a new land for a better future was be the way to go. Others wanted to stick to the existing land and refine what they already had.

Now, you must follow one of them – and choose your fate!_

Love it! I consider myself a pretty competent HOTAS pilot, but I find it impossible to win any race… Best position I’ve done is 5 of 8. I love a challenge and I can see many hours trying to master this. I would’ve happily paid 3 times more for it.

This game is still in the begining of the way, but obviously it has a good future. At least it is clearly getting better with updates. If before it was almost impossible for me to win the race, but now controls are pretty comfortable.

Graphics still has low fps on my machine, and the GUI should be polished, but the game has a good potential. It would be interesting to try it with the VR headset (I played on a normal monitor).

UNDER the WATER - an ocean survival game

UNDER the WATER - an ocean survival game

Under the Water by IndieMax is a simple, yet relaxing survival Game, which leaves you stranded on a small set of islands while trying to stay alive as long as possible. It’s currently under Early Access, and I’ll update this review as Development progresses, but so far IndieMax has been very active with Patching issues, and implementing new Features. Already 9 Updates and it’s only been out a few days.

The playstyle is similar to Under the Sand, with the same Low Poly Graphics which I do enjoy, yet the Mechanics are slightly different, such as an added inventory system, crafting, and now since the latest update farming as well!

I like the game, it seems like it will be really interesting. Some things I noticed was I lit a fire in the fire place and the fire pit and it stayed lit for days, which doesn’t seem incredible realistic. A glitch? I also could not see a function for the pot. Couldn’t boil water for drinking which is an issue since thirst seemed to go down very quickly and there was limited supply of pop cans and bottles. Also couldn’t add the canned meat to heat it up, which would be nice. The menu could be more intuitive as well as the recipes and combine section, it was very confusing. No way to get renewable seeds from harvested pumpkins. There should be seeds from the pumpkin if you eat it. I also see fishing will be coming, hopefully with a way to make a fishing rod or net. The net would be to catch drifted items. Look forward to the next update.

Corrupted Hospital : Part1

Corrupted Hospital : Part1

I was really excited during the event stage.

It would have been great if I get the machine gun one more time.

It is more like a room escape game than action game.

It’s not as much action as the Walking Dead, but it’s good quality at its price.

I really like the design of the hospital.

The music and environment were impressed for me.

The overall atmosphere is not bad.

There were some factors that surprised me.

The puzzle was interesting, and the clue was easily visible, so I could solve it properly.

  • Review

When doing reviews of AAA games the price is imo secondary, as there is an expectation that the game will be good regardless, however when it is the other way around i feel the price is extremely important. If i didn’t know the price of the game I would likely not recommend it, simply because i would assume, due being a finished game (or at least not in early access) that it would be overpriced for the amount of content, graphics, mechanics, etc.

Super Raft Boat VR

Super Raft Boat VR

This is the 2nd best free vr game I’ve played, the art style is great, the game play is great (kinda repetitive but I’m not ask a free vr game to do better), music BOPS, action is great, basically everything in this game is great and I really wish more people would see the steam page and play it only thing that could possibly make it better would be multiplayer, but i know its difficult to implement so I’m not gonna beg for it. In conclusion, I think this would be the most popular free vr game if it game as a first result while scrolling through the vr game section of steam.

I love this game! It has a really cool concept where you have to defend your self from enemies and expand your island

Things I’d like to see-

Advance building like wall, stairs, etc

More guns

More enemies

Port over to Quest 2

More game modes

Bosses

Cons-

Tbh I couldn’t find anything wrong only lacking a bit of content but the game is new

Pros-

Good locomotion

No motion sickness

Very fun!

Game runs well

Very user friendly

Overall this is a very good game has a lot of penitential! 👍

If your the developer and reading this please add one of these things into your game I think these would be great! 😁

Bloody Raid

Bloody Raid

I must admit I am rather enjoying this game.

It’s a fully driven PVP team based game, but you can play solo. There are enemy AI in the game which once downed can be revived and recruited to your team, but they are a little dumb.

It has feels of Hunt:Showdown, but without the big bosses. Each team must go to selected areas on the map, destroy the zombie hives and collect the samples. Once enough samples are collected, you must escape via the helicopter.

Perma death is a thing in this game, but only once you unlock the higher modes in game. If you die in the basic mode then you receive a cool down timer, but you can have 3 survivors to rotate. More slots can be bought with in-game currency (Dead Coins) which you receive via doing tasks and levelling. It also looks like those coins will be purchasable with real money.

hive sample, go repeat that 100 time to feel the annoying and boring of the game, and if someone have a brain they would waiting till everyone of that team have sample sitting in extraction circle and start to beaming them down in the opening, and imagine this game have playerbase, everyone would start to playing only on C zone because they all wannabe hardcore and just camping extraction circle at 1 minute left.

tarkov have better extraction system and freely choose whatever objective then extract

Zombieland VR: Headshot Fever

Zombieland VR: Headshot Fever

The Key was given by the developers and I am enormously grateful for the opportunity to stream it and review the game.

If you like arcade rail shooter this game is for you, I really enjoyed playing it and it makes me want there to be a house of the dead VR too ,the game focuses a lot on beating times and shooting well so if you are into that you will like alot the game!

I took me around 9+ hrs with extra content (they add a update adding new levels) and there is still more to come to the game! so looking excited about the bonus content and not leaving the game in a lonely state like ALOT of VR games out there

Real player with 9.8 hrs in game

well, it might not look like much. just your regular zombie wave shooter.

but this game is about quick and accurate shooting, picking your targets in the most efficient order to get unlocks and climb up the leaderboards. just chain thoose headshots together and dont miss too many shots. sounds totally simple if you are a professional shooter, but i bet you are not. xD

really, i just stumbled randomly across this game. it deserves way more coverage so other people might also learn of the games existence. Zombieland definitely has great polish and good voice acting. its easy to pick up and will keep you challenged for a quite while especially if you compare your scores to what a friend can achieve ;)

Throw Anything

Throw Anything

*I had the game provided to me by the dev, but under no obligation to leave a review.

Throw Anything is an incredibly fun, challenging and unique VR game that does exactly what it says on the box. It allows you to Throw Anything.

Screenshots of the game do not give justice to the design when you’re in VR, it’s very vibrant little world you’re in as you hurl object out the window at Zombies trying to invade.

It’ll take you several attempts to beat most levels as you discover which objects are better at knocking Zombies off the building. This game does not hold your hand, and definitely provides players with an exciting challenge.

Real player with 9.9 hrs in game

I believe low-polygon have it’s own feature such as well-matched sd character and unsubstantial saturation. Throw anything include all of them in VR!

Maybe the deduction point of this game is it’s difficulty. I couldn’t go more than stage 3. But time will solve this problem.
