Collapse: A Political Simulator

The game is getting ridiculously hard with the new updates and the game balance is very poor (there are no proper tutorials on a game with such complex mechanism). Old bugs are unresolved and there are now lots of new bugs (such as the automatic override of your old save when you start a new one unless you exit the game and restart it from Steam, which would wipe out the save that you spent 10+ hours to play). Also, the game made no mentions about the conditions of the new crisis event ‘Mining Strike’ and my approval rating suddenly slides into the bottom after that event. Not to mention that the game was already very hard before these new updates, it is just unplayable after all these new updates that made the game mechanism even harder and more complicated. Bugs like ‘Russian requirement’ event freezing and Prime Ministerial maximum operability is only 75 made this game even worse. This game wasn’t ready to be released and need a total overhaul and rework

The game is brutally hard I have spent over 90 hours trying to understand the game mechanics. even in sandbox mode the game is hard and since the last few updates the game in my opinion isn’t worth it at this moment. maybe in the next update i will reconsider. Also the game needs to have better english translation it is very hard to understand what you are doing in the game.

Great game! Very complex, tons of weird ways to get from A to B, and very funny under the very serious veneer. I saved America from the Red Menace by making a child cry. The only Steam achievement I’ve ever been proud of!

The dev is a really cool dude, I’ve helped him out with a few projects. The Discord server is also good and I’d recommend his other games like Cold War 2, Cauldrons of War - Barbarossa, and Cat Fu MI.

川建国同志想要连任/Comrade Trump’s Re-election

Funny game, Trump who knows everything turns out to be a secret agent from China who wants to mess up the USA, i was thinking that he had some deal with Putin… but it seems this is true, USA is f**ked up by his term. But the question is should this be a huge secret to keep? Now the cat is out of the bag, everyone who played this game knows that, its bad for his mission haha. And BTW i quite like his twitter avatar in this game so can everyone plz send me a copy?))

But cant i skip the stories in 2nd or more round? Kinda annoying but still fine(Solved, hold the ctrl key, thx, the developer and a buddy who plays galgames X). And the questions appearances on the press conferences is kinda depended on luck, so i cant get all the trophy by now. Theres only 5 trophies left now, all about the questions, its getting soooo hard now haha.

The number of questions and stalks is sufficient, but the game process is only three days a bit short, and it can be increased by a few days. Game elements can be richer.

It is a headache for reporters to randomly ask questions, and it is a waste of time for players who want to collect achievements.

It is recommended to add the skip story button or the option to close the story.

In addition, I hope this game will sell well in the United States.

I would like to recommend the game with caveats.

Firstly, it looks beautiful, and I love the concept. The modules, devices, and ships look great, and the backgrounds are very appealing (although the characters' portraits aren’t up to the same visual standard). The basic idea is not new, but this generally has a scale that I’m enjoying; it’s more Civ 5/Civ 6 than Cities Skyline or Surviving Mars. By that I mean that in the latter, you reach a stage where your city/base is almost too big to micro-manage enjoyably. (The micro-management is something I enjoy, but it’s not for everyone.)

ok i have played over 80 hours of this game so far. so i will write an advised review and as honest as possible.

1st the good point: the game concept is good, there is mission / tutorial to show u some basics.

there is also a custom game mode (sandbox) wich is a must have since after doing the mission there would be nothing else left.

The graphics are nice and the call and crew are voiced on various area.

There is in game contract during custom to keep u entertained and helping u to survive wich is a nice addition.

China: Mao’s legacy

China: Mao’s legacy

I would definitely recommend this game probably the best Kremlin Games has out insofar as the whole political dynamics are concerned (you are able to fully shape your country' s policies and the factions are much more ‘real’). The economy however could have been dealt with better and have a proper blend between it and Ostaglie (placing individual buildings alongside the investment).

Alike Ostaglie, relations with individual western European Countries are generalised as NATO and it would be better to not have done it in this way so we can see how the worldwide socialist movement is doing at the time, which in turn, could affect individual countries rather than having it all generalised as ‘NATO’. This would have been much better as China often had more interaction with Western Europe (with the initial funding of left-wing guerrilla groups then to investments) as the WPO did (which mainly tilted towards its own bloc, which China interreacted less with whereas the game sometimes focuses too much on Chinese-Soviet or Chinese-Middle Eastern Relations, whilst relevant it mises opportunities with Western Europe) as well as making the international playing field (which takes up a large bulk of the game) more active, especially seeing how the Years of Lead, the Spanish Transition, the German RAF and the French Maoists pan out with China still being a beacon of Maoism. Or it could show how China has been integrating more with the west and encouraging the growth of the EEC or NATO (if not becoming a member then associating maybe if you take a hard anti-Soviet line).

I write this as a gamer who has played Kremlingames previous simulations, Crisis in the Kremlin, and Ostalgie: The Berlin Wall. As such, I can’t write this from the perspective of a person who will be exposed to this type of gameplay and Kremlingames' unique idiosyncrasies for the first time. I can only write subjectively from the viewpoint of someone who has played both games already.

First impression: it uses the same map as Ostalgie, with some haphazard modification to add Malaysia, Indonesia, Rhodesia, and the USA to the nations you can interact with. It’s better than the huge scrolling map of Crisis in the Kremlin, so I suppose I can’t complain too much. Go with what works.

There is a very interesting enigma wrapped in a mystery going on here. I really want to get into the game more, but the translation is rough. I feel certain that after a conversation we could work out some smoother edges to the translations. Thank you! Love the game! Keep: Doing It!

Quarantine: Global Pandemic

Quarantine: Global Pandemic

A good game to pass the time.

The game is very realistic.

And the game has several ways to win against the so-called Covid-19. Unfortunately, the game bugs from the standpoint of 2024, the numbers jump around wildly and you can hardly continue playing the game! But as I said, it’s fun!

But you can also freely choose whether you want Christmas / Easter / Thanksgiving / Mother’s Day / Father’s Day / Halloween

whether you let it fail or not.

Alright first that 12 hours is probably 4-2 hours off, I used steam remote play to play the game for some of my play time, I believe the game was left running well I was doing other things, I find this convent as I can return to the game where I left off with my phone, but it dose inflate the hrs on record. It’s likely closer to 8 or 9 at the time of this post.

Kingsim is a game of choice and resource management, it’s ment to played much more then once, likely you won’t reach the end on your first attempt unless your very lucky, but dieing in this game is an achievement, and you can save at any point. I find this game really fun and have played it quite a bit and I still haven’t gone on all the paths that are in the game. I’m trying to avoid spoilers in this review, so it’s been a bit akword writing, next I guess I’ll address some things from the negative reviews that are here

A very fun, but very short game. A lot like Long Live the Queen but less VN style… Sort of. You can marry monster girls, or humans if you’re into that sorta thing. I married a mermaid and summoned an adorable Cthulhu to spread joy and death across the world.

There are very many possibilities but the game generally ends around 10 days and then you can go into an endless sort of sandbox mode where the only thing to do is conquer or make peace with your surrounding neighbors.

Honestly I’d say my 3 hours was worth $10, but I really hope to see more content from the devs for this game soon. There’s a lot of possibilities yet.

The Shrouded Isle

The Shrouded Isle

My my…this is certainly a game that casts cynicism upon religious belief, is it not? Apparently “ignorance” is a virtue, boys and girls!

So what the hell IS this game? Well, it’s a strategy game/management simulator, in which you basically have to keep a bunch of aristocratic houses onside, while finding one poor soul to sacrifice every season to the mighty deity Chernobog! (A sly reference to a certain Ukranian nuclear power plant disaster, perhaps?) To do this effectively, you must interrogate potential candidates and keep abreast of their various vices and virtues, in order to decide who is most worthy of such sacrifice, and who is more worth keeping around to undertake morale-boosting tasks. But be careful! Target a single house one time too many, and there might be nasty consequences…

I got this game at launch. The premise seemed strong, the art direction was compelling, so I took the jump.

Positives

  • Simple to learn - the mechanics are easy to get used to. The fundamentals are not bad, so you don’t need much time to get going. The important thing is how you apply them.

  • Very hard. Go into this expecting to lose but have fun. Treat it more like a choose your own adventure crossed with XCOM or Darkest Dungeon.

  • Art is amazing. The minimalistic use of colours looks top notch. The game allows you to switch between colour palettes, as well, so you can go with whatever feels best. I believe the limited usage of colours was a strong choice in making the game look a bit otherworldly.

IN A WORD: MAYBE

IN SHORT:

WHAT TO EXPECT: Management oriented strategy simulator. Hardcore indie game. Dystopian setting. Mature themes. Survivor meets street gang dynamics. Pen and paper, play-by-mail style gameplay. Basic turn-limited combat. Slow-paced, methodical tempo. Needs a better tutorial and/or help screens. Visually clean but limited. Decent mandolin soundtrack. GUI needs some tweaks. No Steam overlay. Patience and imagination required. Singleplayer only. Subtly addictive.

The game has merits which make it worthy of a go at the low price. The UI is problematic and there are some balancing problems, with the AI hammering you pretty soon into the game. Enjoyable without hitting the all-time classic ranking.
