Best Month Ever!
Best Month Ever is a modern point-and-click story-driven adventure of Louise and her son Mitch. Life is hard for Louise as a single mom, struggling to make ends meet. But things can always get worse, and after being diagnosed with a terminal illness that leaves her with one month to live, the clock is ticking for her to raise her son. But how do you explain that to an 8-year old kid? Mitch is picking up things fast - like a duckling, he observes his mother and imitates her behavior - but time is running out and Louise has to think carefully about making the right decisions and setting a good example for Mitch to follow. Together, they hit the road to take back the time that was stolen from them and live a lifetime as mother and son in 4 short weeks…
This intense family trip takes place during a groovy 60s era. Mother and son are thrown into both dangerous and funny situations, all of which impact their relationship and future. Their intimate tale plays out against the backdrop of a United States torn apart by political tensions and divided by brutal social inequality.
You will learn about the facts and decisions from the past in flashbacks and through memories of the grown-up Mitch - the narration constantly switches between the “past” (the 60s) and the “present” (the 70s). Finally, we jump back in time to decide what choices Louise made and how they affected the future of the two. Players’ decisions will also help shape a unique image of her as to what kind of person she was.
-
Decisions REALLY matter! To keep track of Mitch’s growth as a person, each choice you make adds positive or negative influence to three statistics: Righteousness, Confidence, and Relations. As a result, this changes your story on the go, which makes each player’s experience feel unique.
-
Mother & Son relationship - Not only will their individual fates be subject to change, but also their mutual relationship. Best Month Ever is above all else the story of the touching, challenging and unique bond that can only exist between a mother and son.
-
Different Outcomes - Turn on, tune in, drop out… and decide! Different choices result in different endings of the game. It is up to the player to decide what kind of person Mitch will become and what exactly happened during his memorable journey through the USA with his mother.
-
Weird 60s trip - What a time to travel it was! Canned Heat was singing about “Going Up the Country” while Bob Dylan asked “How does it feel” to have no home and live on the street. Louise and Mitch travel across the country, meeting bikers, hippies, Klansmen, Native Americans, and far-out wanderers of all sorts.
-
No losers here! - Don’t be a square, you can’t ‘lose’ in Best Month Ever! Your decision will shape Mitch as an adult person. He may of course get some kicks on the way, but hey, the story will still be unique and rewarding! Can you dig it?

This game plays brilliantly with the concept of time. You play as Shade, a little guy created by the King to be a servant of his underground kingdom with only 2 tasks: waking him up after his 400 days hibernation and to not leave the caves.
The 400 days countdown starts when you first open the game and is tracked in real-time, even when you exit the game. One thing to know though, is that just like in real life, time goes faster when you occupy yourself so you don’t have to literally wait for 400 days to see the end of the game.

Quest: Escape Room 3
Neat, short little game with simple puzzles and a mediocre story, that doesn’t take itself seriously sometimes, which isn’t bad, but rather funny if the story is bare-bones to begin with. The translation work isn’t great either, but it has charm.
I recommend it to everyone who wants to start with little mystery or puzzle games that aren’t too intimidating.

This game is outrageously stupid, all puzzles and mini games are retarded and poorly designed, there’s no difficulty associated with anything in this game. Don’t waste your time and money on this, I wouldn’t play anything by this studio even if it’s offered to me for free.

The Frosts: First Ones
I want to like this game a lot. The story is interesting, it takes an hour or two to complete, the music is lovely and the game is so pretty that this alone makes the experience worth a couple of euros - especially if one likes to support indie game makers.
However, the English translation is so bad that there were times I couldn’t understand what the main character was trying to say. When I got to the end of the game, a text box was bugging out of screen so I missed some parts of the story.
The game is basically a short interactive story with a couple of rudimentary puzzles. The logic of the puzzles was pretty fuzzy, but I managed to get through them by clicking blindly. There isn’t much to do in the game and no way to influence the story. Movement is clunky at best.

Explore a scenic land of ever-winter looking for your missing friend in this interactive narrative.
I love the attention to nature in this game. As you hike though the beautiful and mysterious landscapes, animals will jump out and fly away. There were also descriptions for some of the plant life. It was cool.
The game play has a chill exploration vibe with a few events, challenges, and puzzles along the way. I struggled to know where to go at times, but eventually found my way. The environment was pretty to look at, so I didn’t mind having to really explore to find my way.

A Date in the Park
This one’s a really good graphic adventure, coming completely for free.
It may take you some time to look everywhere.. even if it isn’t that long :)
Graphics are quite particular for these point and click adventures - you’ve got prerendered backgrounds and a 3D character over them (or more).. it’s quite strange for a point and click adventure but the images are good and overall the setting isn’t too vast to explore.
Many said that this game is overly played due to being free and this is a valid point, but trust me, as a visual adventure it had deserved its own 1€ price. Being free it’s a great plus here.

(Before people thumbs-down this review for “being a hater”, please keep in mind that it’s about whether the review was HELPFUL or not.)
Yet another candidate for the “Mixed Review” section. Ultimately, however, I’m going to have to say that I do not recommend this game unless you either want a free game to try out or if you want a quick, free 100%.
Play as……. umm…. Some blue-shirt guy who fell in love with a girl a week ago (literally…) . You’re in the park looking for your girlfr–…. well, date really… You look for the girl in the park through this point-and-click adventure title. Without spoiling the game, few events happen and the ending is disappointing. (It’s clever, but disappointing. Seriously, don’t fall in love with someone you just met… there are consequences for such passions. Same can be said for this title.)

Discolored
Very Nice game, good ambient music, I read somewhere it reminded to Twin Peaks. Yes it has that eerieness to it.
Puzzles are good, real brain teasers. In a way its a bit like the Room, just one house and its close surroundings. But nicely layed out. And with a kind of glasses to show secrets/hints.
At some point I thought I was close to the end, but no, so that required some more thinking. I also saw already people making Walkthroughs, but for me that takes away the charm and the fun of solving it yourself. Its also got some hidden achievements, and I must admit the last one for me I wouldnt have found without some help from the community hahaha.

This puzzle game has a real feel for the nostalgic, which is something I appreciate, and its visuals provide a sense for the noir genre. I did also find it somewhat reminiscent of the Myst game series in style, especially while playing with the Point-and-Click mode (You can choose to play Free Roam or Point-and-Click, and are free to switch game modes anytime throughout the game). It is set in a different dimension, where symbols of triangles and eyes are everywhere, and color and light are essential elements to the game, all of which help to bring out a unique experience of game play. Discolored is, although a short game, also quite a challenging one (at times, frustratingly so), with a little “moon” logic thrown in.

Get Rich or Die Gaming
I got this game in a bundle before, so I was not as irritated as some people who paid full price.
It has a number of bugs in it - one causes the game to crash. It is pretty short (under 10 minutes), art is okay, the whole thing is kind of something you would have seen on Newgrounds before.
The best part of the game was the business dude conversations which ended up making me laugh.
I don’t recommend buying it, instead just go watch the 5 min let’s play of it.

Stranded
sigh I want to recomend this but I can’t. Even as a new release $8 is way to much for the experience offered, even $2 would be pushing it. Theres about 3 minutes of actual gameplay and the rest is just mindless wandering using a terribly clunky interface. As it stands you would be better off taking your money and spending $5 on “The Dig” by Lucas arts. Hours of gameplay, just as visually and audably pleasing and a much deeper more moving story. As for Stranded if you want to try it wait until it’s in a humble bundle or something.

Worst buyer-seller relationship ever.
It’s a poor game, more of a game-demo space-walking simulator with a non-riddle which trigger an ending after 30mn of walk playing. I had read a preview on RPS, which was quite great, quoting nostalgia, Lucas Arts and The Dig. But The Dig was a much longer experiment. And it had story. And it had gameplay. And it even had humour.
There, as you wander in the deserted landscapes of Stranded, you have none. No story, no riddles, no gameplay, no humour. Just an excrucciating pain in the butt when the end is triggered.
