Destroy The Cubes

Destroy The Cubes

This is a really fun game. Some of the levels are really difficult, but luckily Dreaderz has a really good guide. Feel free to follow, like and favourite his guide.

Funish, short game. Somewhat annoying to get things pixel perfect between attempts.

I’ll preface this by saying I did fall asleep halfway through the game so you should be able to get through it in less than half an hour if you speed run it but I woke up and finished the game after 3hrs roughly lol The music is pleasant but had it mainly switched off since I was listening to Twitch in the background. hehe The drawing style is quirky and there’s a sinister touch to the puzzles. A couple of the puzzles I had to reset to get past them by escaping to the main menu but a minor bug. For the price of less than $2 I think it was worth an afternoon curiosity and to support the creator. Think of the game as an existential pat on the back that you’re doing so well and play it when you need a change to your perspective you never expected.

“Drop Blox”

“Drop Blox”

Its very hard to recommend this game at this stage. The idea behind the game is simple and can be enjoyable, but the execution was just lacking. The controls were annoying, there are multiple instances that a little flick upward would send the blocks out of the box therefore failing the level for you. I understand that this is so the player is more conscious about his movements but there were just too many blocks thrown accidentally during my playtime. The environment looks bland and unimaginative. I know their not supposed to take your attention away from the actual game but they just look too generic and empty at most. From the main menu, there’s New Game and Load Game. New Game lets you start from the beginning while the Load Game instantly loads up your previous game. And this is absurd, if you misclick the New Game, you’re basically back to zero and in no way can return to the previous level. A better way would’ve been just to list all the available levels and let us choose which one to play.

Casual puzzle - buggy - unpolished = Feels like a post office with matching block colors with color of customer. In the 2nd stage, no one tried to pick up the blocks and lost due to the fill up.

Bomb Bowling 2

Bomb Bowling 2

You know what? This is a solid little action-puzzle game. It’s nothing fancy, but it has 50 levels and a decent challenge level throughout (once you get past those first 3-4 tutorial-skill levels). It’s made in GameMaker (just a hint, dev, change up your icon next time ;) ), but is proof that you can turn out a good game with that engine if you put effort into your game and aren’t just doing some lazy template-flip.

The levels are well-designed and were clearly tested. There are a couple of them that are a smidge finicky, and I swore at the thing a bit at the required split-second timing (when I clearly understood how to solve the puzzle), but that’s also pretty typical for this genre.

Smasher and the Will o' the Thiccs

If you’re into the furry community that might be a good game for you. If you also happen to be into inflation/weight gain, golfing, plot, 400+ character skins including many favorites of the fandom, and also maybe that one scene from Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, then is is DEFINITELY the game for you.

Without giving spoilers, the game is worth having a price tagged on it now, as it’s been a free Itch.io game for about 1-2 years and was started all because of a weight-gain themed Game Jam; which this game won BTW!

I’ll probably edit this review later to be more in depth with it.

Also my playtime on the current itch.io version (1.0.7a) is 9 hours and 47 minutes with all the levels 100%ed with the highest score rating.

Even though I was given a free key, I am going to gift these to several friends to help support Creature on making a wonderful game that makes me smile. With the dialogue, settings, and gameplay working well together. I’m already excited for possible dlc in the future

Its not bad, but it needs improvement at the English UI. It looks like that mobile games you see in ads and it kinda is to some extent, but there are no ads/microtransactions in it i think. I didnt play too much but some levels are kinda repetitive. In easy mode you have unlimited ,,PowerUps,,. Music and Sounds are alright. I will play this game more to give an proper review but for now i think you can try it and chill in it.

A Fisherman’s Tale is one of the better VR puzzle adventure games. It’s also one of the best-looking VR games with a beautiful art-style. It has gorgeous visuals, good voice acting, a nice story, & solid puzzles. It’s built not only exclusively for VR, but the experience is something magical in VR.

Game took me about 90 minutes to complete. I think it’s taken most people from 60-90 minutes to complete. The puzzles are perfect for casual puzzle fans or puzzle beginners. However, puzzle veterans may find the puzzles too easy. Luckily, even if you find the puzzles too easy, there’s still a nice story and world to discover.

This game started strong but was a huge letdown. The game mechanic is interesting but the experience is VERY brief and the controls really get in the way, especially during the last level. I won’t spoil it but it was borderline unplayable. I switched from room-scale to sitting because the navigation is unintuitive and inprecise. In the sitting position, it seemed like it wanted the controllers inside of my physical torso in order to be able pick up certain objects and there was no way to reposition my body. There is an absolutely awful hint system that would not stop despite being turned off. Had I needed the hint, it would not help because it is vague. But, it deluged me with the same hint and, given that I was actually struggling with the controls, not having trouble figuring out the easy puzzle, it was aggravating. Furthermore, the game, seemingly arbitrarily, decides to reset objects to their initial position, meaning they have to be picked up (and interacted with) again and, coupled with the control quality, this is infuriating.
