Papetura

Papetura

Sometimes you stumble upon projects that you can’t help but respect the dedication and effort put by their creators into it. Yet understand that the end result of all that dedication and effort is, while impressive, not very good. Papetura is one such example. Reminiscent of the impressive fluid clay animations of The Neverhood, except with paper. And except not exciting and not fun to play.

Papetura is a point and click adventure game where most if not all visual elements of were handcrafted out of paper. And it does look impressive and very nicely put together visually. Especially when you consider that all of the game, but the sound and music, was done by one developer going by Petums. The sound design by Juraj Mravec is cute and the music by the legendary Tomáš Dvořák (Floex) is not his best, but very good nonetheless.

Papetura …

is a point & click - fantasy adventure game - from the small polish

indie studio - Petums.

It’s a relatively short - but particularly beautifully designed game. :)

The 3-D graphics are fantastic - the lighting adapts (dynamic lighting).

With a lot of attention to detail and variety game scenes were inventively implemented by hand - using the material paper/cardboard.

Story :

Pape is a creature made of paper, who lives all alone in a flower-like prison.

Willy Morgan and the Curse of Bone Town

Willy Morgan and the curse of Bone town is an interesting take on the Point and Click/Adventure game genre, based around a fantasy pirate-world theme, with generic point and click gameplay.

The story starts at Willy Morgan’s house; it’s been 10 years since Willy’s father, the famous archeologist, Henry Morgan, disappeared.

Willy Morgan and the Curse of Bone Town REVIEW https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qefELnp3jo0 ### COMPLETE SPEED PLAYTHROUGH Willy Morgan and the Curse of Bone Town https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oW3C-ODxLEU ### Willy Morgan and the Curse of Bone Town REVIEW Fans of the film The Goonies will probably fondly recall the classic Lucas Arts point and click games of Monkey Island, and it is in that vein which Willy Morgan and the Curse of Bone Town plays out, with red herrings, puzzles and a dose of humour to top it off ensuring Willy Morgan CBT makes a truly resplendent brew! *– [Real player with 10.8 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198136421655)* --- ![Odysseus Kosmos and his Robot Quest (Complete Season)](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/645820/header.jpg "") ## Odysseus Kosmos and his Robot Quest (Complete Season) If you've played many of these formats of games, I really recommend Odysseus Kosmos and his Robot Quest. I'd avoid giving this game to a new player of the point-n-click genre. Here is why… I've play many point-n-click adventures over the years, so I feel safe saying this one is good. Worlds away, literally and figuratively, from the oldies of the 90's and 00's. The story unfolds nicely, containing a nice balance between reveling foreshadowing and not giving away too much too soon. The ending is satisfying and makes the game play feel more rewarding. The game drops clues automatically when I was spending too much time re-exploring the same areas for missed objects, clues, and fun. The available hint button can usefully progress a person through the majority of the game smoothly and uses the same humor as the story. *– [Real player with 36.7 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198066702725)* ---

--- There's a lot to love about the adventure. Although at times it is slow in pushing the story forward and you'll do a lot of similar tasks across the 5 episodes as they are mostly set in the same environments with plenty of backtracking. The overall quality however is quite high and there is a large range of different style puzzles to be had. Although some were very frustrating as it can not only just be a matter of selecting the right item combo, but also in the timing of when you apply them. Really need to be paying attention to the small details of the items and the environment. Used a walk through for a couple of sections as I was close but not quite applying things exactly as required. *– [Real player with 26.8 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198025087928)* --- ![If On A Winter's Night, Four Travelers](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1603980/header.jpg "") ## If On A Winter's Night, Four Travelers This was a wonderful point and click experience. What a wonderful game!! Will definitely recommend it. Did have a lot of problems loading it & was just about to quit trying but on last attempt it finally loaded! (the intro was very glitchy for a few mins & then cleared up). I actually enjoyed it so much that i ended up playing thru several times. I love point & click games especially ones like this game…..just point & go! Personally i have such a hard time using a controller, I mean what's with all the lingo in settings? I have no idea what I am adjusting....like "shadow" What? Huh? Hate how sensitive they can be when it is a FP game.....like why do i need to use 2 or 3 buttons plus the toggle just to simply walk down a road & then find out that i had been walking in circles YIKES! I'm having a terrible time trying to play Edith Finch....Took me an hr just to get to her old home LOL....Anyhow it looks like i'm regressing, (as i often tend to do) so, back to Ultreia.....again, it's a great little gem, controls are simple & the whole game flows, great plot & the sweetest robot ever! Cheers & stay safe!!! *– [Real player with 2.6 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199166113107)* I enjoyed this and plan on getting the full game eventually for sure. The art is beautiful, and I think the dialog and story is interesting. This is a point and click game, but it is a really nice point and click game. The puzzles aren't ridiculously hard in this nor ridiculously easy. They make sense. Worth your time playing the Prologue at the very least if you have any interest in point and clicks. *– [Real player with 1.3 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198428238542)* --- ![Beyond The Edge Of Owlsgard](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1709730/header.jpg "") ## Beyond The Edge Of Owlsgard ![](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1709730/extras/Steam_BeschreibungLogo.png?t=1631182946) Beyond The Edge Of Owlsgard is an old-school point & click adventure game that is reminiscent of the animated movies and Saturday morning cartoons of decades gone by. While it is obviously inspired by the LucasArts and Sierra classics, it also strives to create its own style and identity by returning to the original “adventure” aspect of the genre.
