Bob Was Hungry
I really love this game!
Bought it in sale for only 1 euro, but it’s totally worth the 10 euro’s.
It’s a cute and challenging platformer, which starts easy so you can learn the simple controls and basics, but gets (insanely) difficult pretty soon.
I especialy enjoy playing this with friends in co-op mode, which can be done with up to 8 people. There are multiple ways to play co-op, including racing against each other or shared death, but most of the time we’re just trying to help each other get to the end, preferrably with ‘the bottle’, that unlocks the hard mode version of that level. Those hard levels are really nightmare worthy and I’m very certain that I’ll never beat them in my own, if I’ll beat them at all. But the normal levels are fun and challenging enough. And there are a lot of them: 5 area’s with around 18 levels each (depends on the area). I’m now somewhere in the fourth area, a tropical enviroment, thanks to co-op mode, and after a lot of playing hours, and a lot of deaths, because - warning!- you die A LOT. If you don’t like that, don’t buy this game.

I am finally through.. At least on normal difficulty…
Let me give you some honest words on how it was.
This game begins with easy levels but gets very hard very soon.
Near the end its really just “die and retry” until you finally manage to make it through.
As a SINGLEPLAYER experience I can NOT really ENJOY nor recommend this game.
Its simply too hard - Levels are long and unforgiving, you’ll always have to start over from the beginning.
There are NO CHECKPOINTS what so ever. You wouldnt even be able to practise a jump because of the long way it takes to even get there.

In It Together
In It Together is a puzzle platformer inspired by classic platforming games that makes you complete puzzles with a lot of different mechanics and with varying difficulty. The game has a lot of content with 50 stages in single player, and 50 more stages in co-op. In addition to this there is a Battle mode, which is really fun to play with friends. The Battle mode has 15 more stages, and several different ways to play, so there is a ton of replayability. If you like platforming games with a bit of challenge this is definitely a game i would recommend picking up. If you want to test out the game before purchasing it i would highly recommend downloading the demo as it lets you get a sense of how the game is played.

So I decided to check this game out as it was made by a YouTuber I used to watch when I was younger, it was cheap and it didn’t seem to get much attention. I’m glad I did because this is a legitimately great puzzle platformer game. Your objective is to go into a small level to collect briefcases and gold bars by picking up and throwing objects that will help you get to your objectives. For example throwing plants to break glass. Sounds pretty simple but each level introduces cool new mechanics and things to pick up that expand on the formula in clever ways, but the level design doesn’t waste any time in getting you to grips with them without ever getting overwhelming, so you’re constantly getting those “aha!” moments you want in a puzzle game without being bored by tutorials or being stuck in the same section for too long. I’m only on World 3 of I believe 5 but I don’t see the game getting any worse (I like it enough to review the game now). The levels themselves are fairly short so it’s a great game to pick up for a bit and put down but it also can be pretty addicting to go for another level right after finishing one. The game also has a pretty cool sense of style with its character designs and white outlines over a dark environment.

Lover Bands
A fun, challenging, cute game for two people. Despite the shouting, raging, blaming, complaining, dying, fuming, and incessant fighting, I feel like this game strengthened the bond between me and my partner. The artwork and music really add to the atmosphere and soften the inevitable blows to the face that occur during gameplay.
I highly recommend the promotional video created by the developers, it really demonstrates how committed to this they were.

Loved this game! Played it with my boyfriend, and it was so much fun! With a boyfriend who games a lot, it’s nice to find a game that we can play together. I don’t play as many games as he does, so it’s awesome finding one that we both enjoyed. Lot’s of killing each other’s characters, yelling and trying silly strategies to pass each level. Super excited to play more of it!

Outland
👪Player Bases:
☐ Kids.
☑ Everyone.
☐ Mature.
☑ Casual Players.
☐ Pro players.
⛺Graphics:
👉 Amazing visuals and beautiful art style, similar to the game Badland . Even the blue/red orbs are spread in an aesthetic way

🎮Gameplay:
☐ Terrible.
☐ Bad.
☐ Average.
☑ Good.
👉 Outland is very well made mix of platformer and bullet hell. I also liked the unique concept of switching between blue and red to avoid getting hit by the orbs. (For example if the orbs are red, then by switching your character to red, the orbs won’t hurt you)

(Got this game for FREE thanks to Steam and/or devs. Thanks, dudes!!!)
It’s like Castlevania, but with a polarity gimmick!
Welcome to Outland, a Metroidvania title about a warrior plagued with visions of deities threatening to break out of their prison. These deities are responsible for creating the world, but now threaten to destroy it. They’re sealed away by the hero and the hero becomes an amnesiac until they threaten to break out of their prison. Now playing as a re-awoken hero from 3000 years ago, you destroy several of the world’s creators in an effort to save the world. (Like Kratos from God of War, but…not that evil… shudder)

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 - Episode II
Sonic 4 Episode 2 is actually pretty good.
But episode 1 was bad. It left a rotten taste in the mouths of most who encountered it and I believe Sega underestimated how much trust fans had lost in the developer. So much so that Episode 2 was may have been doomed before it had even released.
Some of these differences between the two episodes are a bit subtle but still worth exploring. First of all the game has cutscenes! They do a good job at telling the story without any dialogue. They are short, sweet and to the point which I think works very well for a Sonic game. Adding tails as a character with Combo moves that Sonic and Tails can come together to perform is a great idea and using it can be fun, but I can see why it wasn’t enough for some. Tails flying is nothing new and the double spindash is really just the same thing as the regular spindash, just stronger. I do wish performing the combos was a little more fluid to the gameplay however, since you get animation locked for about a second every time you perform a combo grinding your momentum to a halt.

Like all games, StH4 has its problems, but I don’t think that ruins it for the game. While it’s very true that you’re going to have far easier a time with a controller than a keyboard/mouse, overall, the game is very well put together. Piece by piece, here’s what I think.
The music, like for all Sonic games, is very well done and feels very fitting. Every single stage sounds appropriate, from White Park Zone sounding very much like a snowy wonderland to Oil Desert Zone sounding like an intimidating desert factory. The music itself is composed fantastically, with nothing in it that would grate on the ears, and even the new power-up music doesn’t sound too bad.

Vertical Drop Heroes HD
You can feel the laziness of the programming as you play. The free flash game of Vertical Drop Heroes by the same programmer (or at least the same art and such) is actually pretty OK. But this game was not done well.
1. You can’t save at all. The only thing that saves is the upgrade buys and unlocks. And runs aren’t short. This is absolutely unforgivable.
2. Lots of unlocks a worse than nothing. Worst offender is the Bone Knife, really hard to earn since you have to pass three levels as peaceful (and unlike what the statues say, No bonus gold for doing this difficult task. Shame shame) And none of the unlocks tell you what they do before you buy/unlock them. Nor can they be disabled so you don’t have to sped more cash and time rotating past them.

I bought this game as part of the Humble Bundle, and it piqued my interest. I figured it would be a fun game to play with others, so I ended up buying it for my wife too… that was a mistake.
For one, the “Local Network” multiplayer option is unreliable. It seems as if at any hint of a network error, the game drops all connections and kills the server. Very frustrating if you make it far in a run. Furthermore, I ran into numerous bugs that crashed my client (problem 1) that meant that the server (my wife’s machine) would quit too (problem 2). Combined with the constant lag, LAN multiplayer was simply unplayable. I know it was not my connection because other games work fine over LAN (e.g. Terraria).

BattleBlock Theater®
super cute, funny narrations, addictive, levels are fast paced and fun. love it :)

A (precision) platformer with light-weighted puzzles, gentle difficulty curve, wacky plot, and hilarious narration. Especially enjoyable to play with a partner. Last few chapters could be a little bit too difficult though, but nothing insurmountable even for casual players.
Support local multiplayer, but controllers are necessary. Otherwise, you can progress in story mode with your friend in online multiplayer mode. When two computers are on the same WiFi network, the lag is nearly imperceptible.

Citrouille: Sweet Witches
It’s not Lode Runner, but it’s not bad.
Citrouille is a single-screen action game with a ladder-building mechanic inspired by Rod Land. Since there are no restrictions on when or where you can build ladders, you have a lot of freedom of movement. Combined with a relatively high game speed and random AI, it’s clear that Citrouille is less about strategy and more about reflexes and adaptation. This is not in itself bad, but for how unique the ladder mechanic is, it’s less deep than I had hoped.

“A classic arcade puzzle platformer game with adorable characters.”
Review
Citrouille. It’s made by Lumen Section and published by Plug In Digital. This publisher has often been a partner for good indie developers. Especially among them, Lumen Section is a hidden gem. This game has been designed so that the player can experience well the developer’s affection for the game. This game is full of cuteness and loveliness. Let’s have a look.
Gameplay Style. This game has a modern sense about classic games. Simple but challenging and addictive. In addition, It’s more shining with graphic artwork and animation effects. Each playable character has its own features. Playing with these cute witches is a really pleasant experience. Moreover, there are some game modes to enjoy. Especially with the latest update, a customizable mode has also been added. We need to actively welcome these new content updates. The developer’s passion makes the game more valuable.

ibb & obb
ibb & obb can offer:
1) 15 usual levels plus 8 hidden, secret levels; those regular levels will gradually increase in length, difficulty, number of enemies and score;
2) co-op mode as well as solo play-through; solo mode significantly toughens the game, because you will have to control two characters by yourself, meaning while Ibb (say, your left hand) jumps and runs away from a bunch of blackened hedgehogs, Obb (now your right hand) is rushing away and breaks down the same hedgehogs from another side of the surface. Either is upside down, that again, adds more challenge.

I have never wrote a review before but this game is so cute I had to. I bought this in a sale but I would say it’s worth the full price as you will have so much fun with it!
This is a lovely and fun game to play with a friend or a loved one as it is a fantastic puzzle solver. You will enjoy playing it even more if you use a microphone in multiplayer so you can communicate and help each other to complete the levels.
It took me and my friend 20 hours to complete it and to do all of the achievements. The ‘Quality Time’ achievement was a lot of fun to do and took a couple of hours to achieve. Both of us enjoyed playing this and had a lot of fun dying throughout due to the varied difficulty. The levels start off simple and as you progress the later ones become frustrating and a little troublesome, but if you keep trying you will eventually finish the game. We both became stuck on some puzzles for awhile but we found the solution by trying many different ways.
