Wonderful little farming game from SKIPMORE and Kan.Kikuchi! This game has lots of things for you to do around your farm and an island. There are lots of items to collect and quests to complete. Lots of quality of life features are present in this game, as well as a catalog for the different items and people you have encountered. The game is in early access at the time of this review, and there are plans for lots more content to be added!

If wanted to get because cheaper then other games on steam not $35 I recommend you get it either on sale or regular price.

Game itself was not bad.

I am not sure if they character customization yet - I like to see that.

Not sure if avatar evolves or levels up like if you pick a race that sort thing.

Like: I think farming aspects are similar to real life/ foraging/beating up monsters.

Graphics reminds of pixel art graphics if weren’t for mobs being different and regions.

Relationships improve on help, item unlock, new recipe.

Blockicker

Blockicker

Blockkicker is amazing, charming and have great puzzle design!

They are made in a way where you can you always can figure out the solution after a few tries.

The soundtrack are cozy and cherful, but way too short for this kind of game, Be prepared to hear the same loop over and over again.

The mechanics are added in a wonderful pace and keep the puzzles interesting and fresh.

The game is for sure more than a iteration from goofy troop puzzles, buy it

If you fancy some spelunking to go along with your spatial organization puzzles, you can’t go wrong with Blockicker. When an inquisitive young fellow inadvertently finds himself trapped in a mysterious subterranean complex, he’s forced to correctly align scores of curiously shaped blocks in order to open locked doors so that he can once again relish the wonder of natural light. This burly boy doesn’t believe in getting his hands dirty and he’s certainly not afraid of stubbing the toes on his right foot, for with a series of swift kicks, he’s able to send the heavy blocks careening towards their proper destinations. Certain puzzles must be solved in order to proceed down the pathway to freedom, but many of them can be tackled at a later time. Players will need to be methodical, but none of the puzzles are too rigorous. The music loops quickly, but it’s still very pleasant and nicely compliments the SNES-esque visuals.

Faraway Islands

Faraway Islands

Good 2D survival/crafting game.Controls well and has good mechanics.Fun to play.Main thing missing is content.Maybe some kind of back story as well as current story and things that hamper surviving would make it better. Things like animals or some mobs that you have to fight/avoid or just watch out for would add a lot. This could lead to more reason to have variety of weapons and a leveling up of weapons. This really is a fun game in early access which I totallly forgot to mention….untill now.Price is not very much at all now……with proper good additions current price will be a steal. Developers seem nice and are wanting feeedback to help advance their game…..which is usely a good sign for a early access game in my experience. So overall I am not a professional game reviewer but I do know if I like playing a game or not and a few things I personaly would like to see in a game…….so I like playing Faraway Islands and recommend it to all types of gamers………I see it getting better with a little love.

I Love this game and I want to see it get updated again I’m very happy with the development of the game the only problem I had was that I had put time into 2 different islands and that progress broke and I had to start from scratch. Otherwise a great game and I do recommend

It is pretty good, if you are unsure, get it on sale, give it a refund if you don’t like it but i think it is a pretty neat game

Time management crossed with puzzle - Making sure plants get enough sunlight and water within constraints of a moving day schedule, with reflective mirrors. Stressful… I don’t have a green thumb.

LandTraveller

LandTraveller

See the full review here: https://saveorquit.com/2021/01/14/preview-landtraveller/

The simplest explanation is “It’s Minecraft in Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past’s perspective.” Also, there’s a story mode with a linear plot in the procedural sandbox world, and you play as catgirls. You’ll probably enjoy it around as much as that elevator pitch appeals to you.

It’s SNES-inspired sound and graphics aside, LandTraveller is an “and the kitchen sink” dabbler in many different genres, including some born after the 16-bit era, and not all of these ideas play well together. LandTraveller wants to have the base-building of Minecraft or Terraria, however, it doesn’t want to let you actually use those for fighting bosses like in Terraria, and in Story Mode in particular, bases are almost entirely just a storage bin and crafting bench. Why bother customizing something you only see for 5% of the game? LandTraveller wants to have difficult twitch combat focus like a roguelite such as Binding of Isaac, but it has old SNES controls instead of twin-stick shooting, making the game character too difficult to control for some of the high-precision combat it demands. RPG mechanics mean that level and gear can render enemies that were one-hit-killers toothless, further undermining twitch-based action focus. In fact, since movement speed is also based on RPG-style stats, and there is no “run” or inversely, “slow down” button, a slow character (bears) might find it impossible to evade attacks, while fast characters might find platforming or just plain fitting through the one-tile-wide doorways nearly impossible, as it’s extremely difficult to line up on a single block when your character is only a couple pixels narrower than a block.

This review is for Story mode using the beta version with the latest updates. You can opt into this version from game settings in Steam.

Seems like a great game so far. I’ve run into a few bugs but overall it’s been pretty enjoyable - moreso than I expected.

There are plenty of open world crafting sandbox games but this is one of the few that is also a complete RPG and didn’t just contain a few RPG elements. There’s an Explore mode that leaves the story out. It also has multiplayer, which I haven’t tried yet.

Lonely Tribes is a puzzle game in which you beat each level by moving the characters such that they all merge together, using walls and the environment to push them together.

Later levels include special modes which allow you to completely change the method of play, such as Frenzy which moves everything 3x as far, allowing you to clip through walls, but at a cost.

There are currently 10 levels, with a level generator that can create over 4 billion different levels.

TWWWR

TWWWR

TWWWR is a pretty great game if you want a short but very high quality experience. The game looks / sounds amazing, it plays very well, and has a nice suite of bosses to fight (with optional harder versions with rewards). The only issue I have with the game is that it IS so short. Finished all of the endings and while it was fun, it was so fun it left me wanting more. Again, great game, excited to see what the developer does next!

Real player with 10.6 hrs in game

Excellent experience of a game. TWWWR is a very neat action platformer bullet hell hybrid that looks and sounds great, but also feels great to play. It is not a very long experience, with a first playthrough taking ~2hr if you’re thorough, but the whole thing is a blast to play. The achievements offer some extra challenges, with speed/pacifist runs, as well as getting the secret ending on expert, which is a hitless difficulty. Luckily there are lots of save points…

If you want to take it a step further, there are optional gauntlets, as well as harder variants of bosses including a boss rush (think like normal, ascended, and radiant versions of hollow knight bosses). Lots of little things that make this feel very polished.
