Yes, Your Grace
Yes, Your Grace! is a (Decision Making Simulator) which fallows a Polish Game of Thrones themed plot. The game is set in Medieval time period, sprinkled with sorcery and magical tales. It’s quite clear that the developer has taken inspiration from the Witcher & GoT, instead of creating an original story.
Yes, Your Grace. Is portraying itself to have this overarching storyline with different branching plots, that somehow are woven together to form these consequential decision-making moments by the player.

There is an argument going on among YYG players, as to whether or not your choices in this game actually matter or not. One side says, “Your choices do not matter, it’s the same game no matter what you do”, while the other side says, “Of course your choices matter, they will determine the life and death fate of nearly every character in the game”.
Here’s the thing: they’re both right… but explaining how that is, without relying on spoilers, is kinda hard. If you are asked to make a decision, and you get a different dialogue response depending on which choice you make, but then all of the gameplay from that point forward is the same… does that count? If you say “no”, then you are going to hate this game.

The Author’s note
–———————————————————————————————-
After many years of gaming, I have decided to start making reviews about games, so here goes one for this game in a detailed fashion. I tried to gather as many hours of gameplay to view all the possible outcomes and finish the achievements. Since I dont want to spoil the fun of actually playing the game, I will try to keep it at a minimum, while providing useful insight about my experience.

So, when it comes to cyberpunk I become super mad. Guess the main reason is because I was grown on all these movies and stylish shows and synthwave music, in one word all these main cyberpunk components. Plus, I really appreciate the whole idea of the cyberpunk and all this aesthetic is pretty much addictive.
And now, everytime I hear some cyberpunk games are about to release I feel like “yeaaah, an amazing content is here!” and insta buy it. Sadly, lot of games disappointed me or were boring as hell, but on another hand, there are still cool products on the market.

Bear’s Restaurant
There’s not too much I can say without absolutely ruining this beautiful and unique experience. Bear’s Restaurant more than exceeded my expectations and blew the lid off of the general idea of what a game is or what a game contains. I almost feel bad for calling it a game its much more than that, it’s an experience and a journey that I don’t think I will forget about. So, since it would be too easy to spoil by going in depth with an analysis I will try to be vague and only discuss specifics that have no bearing on experiencing this masterpiece. The game at its core is about a waiter/waitress cat, taking the last and favorite meals of people before they take their final train beyond the realm of existence to heaven. This is done by “diving” into memories to find out what those foods tasted like and peering into their lives and final moments alive.

Bear’s Restaurant is a touching story about life, death, friends, and family. It’s hard for me to really explain my feelings about this game concisely, but I have to say it’s one of the best I’ve ever played.
The updated translation also makes it so much more enjoyable now! I love this game, and I hope you love it too.

I fell from Grace
I fell from Grace is a story driven, point & click like adventure game.
You play as Henry, a middleaged man working in the medical research field. While his wife is sick and hasn’t too much time left, his work isn’t going exactly well either, so he’s under a lot of pressure. One day he gets his hands on some strange pills that might save her life, or not. It’s entirely up to player what happens next.
I fell from Grace offers a lot of different ways to experience this story. There is not only one way, or one outcome. So it has a lot of replay value. Besides the lovely pixel graphics and soundtrack, it offers a dark and mysterious story. The characters are well written and quite unique. The dialogue is mostly in rhyme form, but you have the option to switch to normale dialogue if you don’t like it!

“Cheap little rhymes, a cheap little tune, are sometimes as dangerous, as a sliver of the moon.” – Langston Hughes
I got off to a slow start with I fell from Grace, thinking the game menu was bugged when I couldn’t select a new game with return or space, I restarted it a couple of time before eventually realising I actually needed to press E! Either way I decided to play with a controller which worked fine but I personally would have liked the option to use the joystick for movement rather than buttons.

The Lion’s Song: Episode 1 - Silence
Listen.
I played through this game twice.
I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I believe you should play it…
But I don’t think it’s good at what it tries to do. In fact, I think it’s disastrously bad.
Mechanics-wise, The Lion’s Song is simple: it’s Telltale-style stuff. Many choices, some consequences. A few simple but situation-appropriate puzzles. That’s all.
Setting-wise, it tries to depict the Belle Époque that was cut short by WWI. And that’s where in my opinion it fails spectacularly. Why though? All the attributes of the period are in place. No anachronisms. Historical figures show up on-screen. It tries to explore the directions art, music and math took at the time. It explores social tendencies. So what’s the big deal?

There are many reasons why “The Lion’s Song” is one of the best games I have played in 2017. From music to characters and design: The game did many things right.
| Story | In each of the four episodes you’ll experience the story of different characters that are slowly discovering themselves in the setting of Austria in the beginning of the 20th century, not long before WW1. Even if the episodes themselves don’t build upon one another, they’re informally interwoven. |

In a far off universe, a crew of drunken oddballs is headed to an alcoholics anonymous meeting. They decide to abandon the meeting to go to one of the crew member’s father’s luxurious motel to celebrate her birthday. Their ship is in major need of repairs, by some miracle (or their alcoholic stupor) they manage to make it to the motel. They get settled in and prepare for the celebration. What they don’t know is that a dark secret hangs over the motel owner, as the special ingredient to the most popular liquor in this universe is meat bags and brains. The servants are all robots that are chained and held prisoner; can they aid you? Or will they turn on you in this bizarre world you’re in. This adventure will have hard choices for you to make, and every action will change how your story plays out. The lives of your crew are at stake; who lives and who dies depends upon your choices.

The premise seemed cool and I was following it for quite a while. The anthropomorphic characters and retro sci-fi feel looked really promising and unique. The story was… a bit taxing, but in the end it turned out to be somewhat interesting! But after suffering through bugs, awful mechanics, and constant progression blockers, I just can’t get into it. The plot is very confusing and alien right off the bat, which is fine in itself, but you have to figure out most things via context clues as you’re flung into this world without anyone holding your hand, and are just expected to learn as you go.
