“I will be damned if I go with another early access game, I will rather eat paper from this notebook”
Ok, now I am chewing on a paper but I’m still satisfied by this game! Yay!
Blackwake is interesting multiplayer naval FPS that lend you feeling of member of Navy or life of a pirate (arrr matey, sorry, i had to). The game basically provide ship and sea and you and your crew (that are players or you are part of the crew under captain) try to get opposition team down the tickets or run out of suplies.

Board enemy ships, plunder merchant ships and destroy entire fleets. Set as many cannons as you can, load the cannons with anything you want, from forks and spoons to cursed cannonballs. Throw grappling hooks and get into battles.
Guide your journey by the sun and stars, they will help you unravel the mysteries. Look for treasures using maps or by solving riddles from legends. However, if you do not want to search for treasures, you can rob caravans or unite in alliances with other players for large-scale expeditions and robberies.

Paper Pirates
A great social deduction game to play with friends or family. Lots of fun and easy to pick up no matter what age the players are. The artwork is a delight and it has a huge number of customisation options to make your pirate your own.
There are different game modes which allow you to vary the difficulty - scored games adding that extra challenge with secret objectives; is that player a ghost or are they just a bad human trying to max out their points? The daily voyage is a nice way to try out different modes and you can fill the boat with cute bots if you are playing solo. You can earn achievements to unlock cool hats for your pirates and the events change things up including the option of an audience mode for people who don’t want to play . The audience can vote to influence what events take place. It’s a nice touch that really does make this a very inclusive game. Iteration games has stepped things up a notch with the current Halloween event. Who wouldn’t want to play as a skeleton or pumpkin pirate! Highly recommended.

Iteration Games clearly understands the Social Deduction genre very well, and the result is Paper Pirates sidestepping a majority of the problems I find in other similar games.
Paper Pirates succeeds at both being a game that’s simple enough to convince your friends to pick up, yet has enough mechanical depth and just the right pinch of randomness to keep the suspense high all the way until the last treasure falls overboard, or everyone gets home.
Things like traditional mafia/werewolf’s follow the cop strategies, Town of Salem’s vulnerability to mass-claiming, and the rigidity of Secret Hitler’s mechanics in general lead to a highly-optimized “metagame” (a specific strategy that most players familiar with a game employ almost always due to how extremely effective it is) that doesn’t really appeal to everyone, and can be especially grating to newcomers. Not to mention how being voted out in all of the above means you’re forced into the role of spectator for the rest of the game, and the first person eliminated essentially doesn’t get to play at all. Paper Pirates solves this by instead demoting players voted out to the rank of stowaway; you cannot win as the stowaway, but all it takes to escape the dreaded barrel is for another player to go overboard and fill it in your stead. And believe me, plenty of pirates will be getting flung off this paper ship.

Out of Reach: Treasure Royale
7.8 hours of gameplay, here’s my take:
Mechanically speaking for a BR, it works. There is minor input lag that has nothing to do with VSynch as I don’t use it, but it’s not game breaking. The combat needs a bit more polish as it can be a little rough. It definitely needs more human players, but the community is organizing lobbies so there is opportunity. The ship combat is pretty fun too.
The fact this isn’t a pure BR in the sense that you aren’t just killing makes it fun, and the ship combat gives it an extra dimension so it could appeal to people. The bots are extremely aggressive, I liken them to raider scavs in Escape from Tarkov for difficulty. The fact there are Ring of Elysium style bots helps you at least have games, and the low lobby time means you get into the game fairly quick.

Joining the official Discord helps a great deal.
To those that think this game is too difficult; at the time of this writing, I am on 59 victories out of 124 rounds played.
This is a Battle Royal with a Treasure chase, you can speed up the game by being the first to get all the treasures and get to the central altar.
Cons:
-
Inventory weight can be a bit tricky if you don’t manage to find satchels.
-
Each game is rather quick, you either get all three treasures, loot for perfect gear or have some ship battles before doing the final fight.

I Am the Captain Now
I’ve had a lot of fun playing this with my husband and daughter. We love being able to work together, make mistake, give each other orders, and just goof off. You basically need to collect treasure, but each level is different on how you collect them; following clues or just dexterity.
Definitely take a look into it!

Cute little pirate game with a unique spin on co-op. First level the captain ran away and left the rest behind. We demoted him in the next voting. The next level the captain was much more considerate and really tried to get everyone to like him. But that made us too slow and we failed the mission so we demoted him too. The further into the game we came the better collab we had, but there also showed up more opportunities to steal votes and pact. In the end no one trusted anyone, which was hilarious. Cool concept, cute graphics and definitely worth the low price. Recommended.

Batterneers
Batterneers is an exciting, action-packed game for up to 4 players. Fight across a number of different maps and game modes using a range of abilities and powerups.
Do note that as of now, Batterneers only supports online and LAN multiplayer. Local multiplayer is currently not available.
Battle Across a Range of Different Game Modes
Deathmatch - Fight to be the last one standing with the highest score in this classic game mode.
Gem Chase - Hold onto the precious gem for as long as you can while avoiding your fellow players.
– Real player with 23.1 hrs in game
This is a very simple pirate game with 3 modes and minimalist graphics. Music is acceptable in quality. Map is way too small. Controls are responsive but feel more like you’re controlling an RC car from an 8- or 16-bit title than a pirate ship.
There are no bots or an obvious way to host a dedicated server. Player counts are so extremely low that you must bring your own friends to make this game worthwhile.
For an occasional casual game, it’s of acceptable quality and quite a bit of fun, but if you don’t have friends to bring along or want a long-term game to invest time into, I suggest going with a different offering.

Blazing Sails
Early acces? It’s already insanely playable, nothing seems to be really missing and no huge bugs.
It’s a 4man team battle royale, it seems to take a lot of inspiration if not downright most of it’s stuff from sea of thieves.
The rounds are 5 - 20 minutes, divided in mostly 2 parts:
Looting and fighting.
during the looting fase you might run into other people on land, so combat ensues.
When sailing to the next island you might run into another ship, ship to ship combat ensues.
The safe area, as with every BR gets smaller and smaller, forcing ships closer and closer, these fights can turn very hectic very quickly.

Ahoy
Adventure Awaits
Ahoy is an immersive first-person multiplayer action-adventure game set during the Age of Sail. Aiming to provide an authentic experience of the late 18th century Caribbean through sailing, combat, trade and social mechanics.
Tall-ship Sailing
Our aim is to capture an in-depth and complex sailing experience, with direct control over each sail. It will require a crew to correctly react to the changes in weather and sea-state, or maneuvering for combat encounters.
Naval Combat
Ahoy features all of the hallmarks of a great naval encounter. Devastating broadsides, agile sailing maneuvers, action-packed boarding actions—all that remains is the teamwork to succeed.
Historical authenticity
Every ship, lovingly recreated. Every interior room, rope, hoop and hinge is built on real historical artefacts, drawings and models. Ahoy provides an educational experience in addition to it’s gameplay offering. Much of the terminology and methods used will be displayed and explained to deepen the understanding of this nautical lifestyle.
True First Person
Our focus on immersion through environmental detail, expressive audio landscapes, and a true first-person perspective creates an incredible backdrop to explore this time in history.
Large-scale Multiplayer
Multiplayer battles with up to 32 players per ship create for exciting engagements. With future plans to increase the scale of conflicts, Ahoy will provide a naval experience unlike any other.
And Much More…
As Ahoy develops, the aim is to capture much of the experience of life in the late 18th century.
Our Development Roadmap on our website outlines our goals for now and towards future releases of Ahoy.
Plunder Panic
Great high-intensity action for you and up to 11 of your friends, local or online! Brings back the nostalgia of the couch multiplayer days, even when you can’t be in the same room as your friends!

Tribal Wars
I have been playing this game since 2007. Most of the gameplay is still the same from back then. But now with a lot of QoL improvements. The game is well balanced overall, but sometimes a little too much luck based. I have a lot of great memories from this game and made a lot of friends aswell. The game is easy to start with but hard to master.
However the developers do not know what to do with this game and destroyed this beautifull game the last couple of years. The game has become too much pay to win in my eyes and it’s not doing any good. I don’t mind to pay for extra premium functions, but buying resources, cheaper buildings, instantly finishing buildings, with your own money to get an advantage over other players is just plain wrong in my eyes. Also the addition of flags is only benefitting the older players and not the newer ones.

This was mostly a trip down memory lane for me. I played on World 18 and 19 about 12 years ago. And, by the way, the game on their international server is currently on World 117. This is on the Tribal Wars US server. But, the game is more or less the same.
This game requires a lot of baby sitting. Everything runs in real time. And, it is highly recommended that you get in a good tribe early–or that you join one that is very good diplomatically to become aligned with the winning tribe. If you start later than a few days after world launch, you are already in trouble and could end up continually getting conquered and restarted.
