I Am the Captain Now

I Am the Captain Now

I’ve had a lot of fun playing this with my husband and daughter. We love being able to work together, make mistake, give each other orders, and just goof off. You basically need to collect treasure, but each level is different on how you collect them; following clues or just dexterity.

Definitely take a look into it!

Cute little pirate game with a unique spin on co-op. First level the captain ran away and left the rest behind. We demoted him in the next voting. The next level the captain was much more considerate and really tried to get everyone to like him. But that made us too slow and we failed the mission so we demoted him too. The further into the game we came the better collab we had, but there also showed up more opportunities to steal votes and pact. In the end no one trusted anyone, which was hilarious. Cool concept, cute graphics and definitely worth the low price. Recommended.

Short Review: A great 9/10 VR Full game

It has great visual effects, big ships, krakens , simple progression applied to ships and charachters, good Single Player campaign, Multiplayer support (PvP and Coop Missions!).

All wrapped working correctly, plays great with VR Controls.. what else could we ask?

Probably a longer Single Player Campaign, and I want more BIG MONSTERS and Magic effects!

Totally recommended game that in my opinion is worthy of a full price buy, because you have a full product here, not an early access one.

This is a fun game.

Typical Servios - slick, good game mechanics, great visuals and production values - instant sense of ‘you need this in your library.

But also typical Servious in being a little arcade orientated (this is not a criticism - this is what they do, and do well - but it does leave many wanting more depth - including myself).

So another great game from one of the top VR studios who are frankly just pumping out great game after great game.

But there is one thing that needs mentioning here. You will know what I am going to say, if you too have played a game called ‘Furious Seas’. The game is pretty much identical - only Servios have more resources to throw at their game. I am not accusing Servious of stealing ideas here (coincidences happen right?) but the parallels will be obvious to anyone who has played both games.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS AN EARLY ACCESS REVIEW

Did you ever hear of Skyhook before being on it’s store page for the first time?

Me neither.

It’s kinda one of those games you learn of by some obscure indie reviewer/blogger, or by chance. For me, it was the latter. I’d recently ordered a Steam Link so I could play games on the big TV in my living room. I figured I should try picking up some local-multiplayer games for when I have my friends over, so I did a Steam store search of games with both the “Full-Controller Support” and “Local Multiplayer” tags. I found Skyhook about half-way through the fourth set of results. After seeing both the neat gameplay and the 50% off discount, I thought to myself “ehh…why not?” and got it.

A Action Platforming Arena Game

  • The gameplay is fairly fun and fast paced. Similar to Smash Bros, although you die in one hit if anything hits you, and you are mainly shooting grappling hooks at each other and trying to dodge.

  • Quite a few “challenge stages” that are comprised of a bunch of little challenge minigames like break the targets, climb to the top before the lava rises, and kill X amount of enemies without dying.

  • A variety of game modes

  • Up to 4 player local multiplayer
